We had a problem with the shower and we noticed it to the staff. Since the hotel was plenty, the staff did not give us a new room. Instead we asked for a reduction in the price as the service given was not the expected one. Finally we asked for a "Complaint Sheet" but we were told that the hotel was a private one and there were no "such sheets". Instead we were given a questionnaire. All in all the quality of the room was below standards for a three star hotel. However the hotel should have foreseen free rooms for a case like this.

The hotel rooms were not fancy but clean and the aircon was great. The location was very convenient and within walking distance to everything. I had just had my wallet picked in Rome train station and Roseann? was very helpful and sympathetic. You can walk thru a charming lemon grove to get to the hotel. We especially loved the roof patio and spent everynite watching the sunset over the med sea. What a view. I will return to Sorrento.

This is a great hotel in an ideal location. It is about 10 mins from the train station which is also the location for the bus you take to tour the Amalfi Coast. You could also easily visit Pompeii from here. The room was very clean and the small balcony and view were very nice. The breakfast was great especially being able to make toast. It is another 10 min. walk to the center of town which has very charming streets, square and park. We ate at the Rossa Leone and it was some of the best and reasonably price food we had in Italy. The Amalfi coast is beautiful and we definitely plan to visit Sorrento again and will stay at th La Meridiana.

Enjoyed our stay in Sorrento, the hotel was comfortable and we did pay the extra 15euro a night for a balcony but honestly we didn't use it so we could of saved 45euro! Very easy location to get around from. Easy walk from the railway station & shops. Not too noisy. All in all we would recommend the hotel to others. If only they would get better cereals for breakfast, very boring and tasteless!

Sorrento was a wonderful placeto base ourselves for doing day trips along the Amalfi Coast. La Meridiana was well located- close to restaurants, cafe's, the train station and the marina. Clean rooms, great balcony, and lovely staff. Very tasty breakfasts which we looked forward to each morning.

Fantastic, the hotel offered true value for money. We upgraded for a nominal extra fee to stay in a room with a balcony and sea view. Considering this hotel is ten minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and we stayed in the height of the season I was really impressed with the price. The staff were very competant and very friendly. The air con was fantastic. We did not eat there so i cannot comment on the food. Some people had mentioned the noise from other rooms, perhaps we were just lucky but i didnt hear anything. On the whole everything was absolutely fantastic and we would definitely stay again.

This was my first visit to Sorrento. Our main reason for choosing the location was its proximity to Pompei, Herculeum, Vesuveus and Capri. All were easily reachable by local rail and boat transport. There are plenty of local restaurants and bars which serve good food at reasonable prices. We drove to Sorrento and I would say this is not for the faint hearted, this is clear with the amount of cars with dents. The other problem is the amount of Vespa type scooters, which want to weave in and out of traffic, saying this once the car was parked we left it there for our entire four day stay. The Hotel Meridiana was well located approximately fifteen minutes walk from the main shopping areas and 10 minutes from the railway station. The directions to the hotel are correct where you turn right at the first crossroads, but due to the one way system you virtually come back on yourself before you reach the hotel. The hotel serves a good continental breakfast range and the staff are friendly and helpful which made for a pleasent stay.

Good location - not too far from the hubbub of Sorrento - but far enough out to get away from it. Very basic hotel - but suited us - although a tad expensive for what you get. Reception were very helpful.

We had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is within walking distance of the center of Sorrento and some rooms have water views although the building is not right on the water.

Hotel Meridiana was a great find. To be in the middle of the city and to be able to walk through a working lemon grove each morning to the Piaza Taso couldn't be any better. The hotel is lovely. The room was spacious, by European standards and the breakfast offered a lot of variety. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating.

The walls are paper thin...we were able to hear the conversations and snoring of the couple in the room next to us. The complimentary breakfast was very nice, the employees were helpful, and the rooms were lovely - we especially appreciated the balcony with a view.

Rosalba, who welcomed us, was very friendly and competent. I don't think the rest of the staff at the front desk was as friendly. The restaurant staff in the morning was great. I didn't like how you needed your key to get out of the room as well as get in. So if you don't have the key and your door is locked, you can't get out of the room. Rooms by the elevator are a bit noisy.

Sorrento is not that big city - so you are anyway close to the main streets and port. A bit difficult to drive to the Hotel as most of the streets are one- way (and I GO is not always helful). The Hotel itself is fine. Friendly personell and all the facilities are in order.

Pleasant surprise, perfect location to access all facilities that Sorrento had to offer without being in the middle of it. Hotel staff extremely helpful and compenant and even assisted us with last minute travel arrangements an arranged a breakfast pack for our early departure(4.30am ). Their recommendations of resturants allowed us to experience the best pizza in Italy.Access to the top floor revealed the roof ( solarium )overlooking the bay, perfect for enjoying a drink and picnic dinner while watching the sunsets, mid night fireworks and soaking up the sun in private relaxation during the mornings ( we were out and about during the days ). Would recommend this hotel and if the opportunity arose would stay there again. Best pick of the Amalfi coast

The rooms was hot, no aircondition even the web said airconditioned. The breakfast was poor, always same mortadella, not much choice. when you ordered capuccino, they charged you extra. The location was good and the free car parking. I do not want to stay there again because no aircondition, especially when outside 100 degree!!!
