Hotel Conca Park - Sorrento

Overall a pretty nice hotel. I don't know that this is quite what I expected for a 4 star hotel...but it was nice. My biggest complaint about the hotel was the curt reception we received consistently from the front desk staff. The public areas and pool are very nice. If you are considering staying at this hotel, I reccomend looking at an actual map of Sorrento to locate it as the location as indicated on venere makes the hotel look MUCH closer to the train station and central Sorrento than it actually is. Overall, not bad....but not entirely what I expected.

This hotel is functional but basic and the room would have been very cramped for two people. The lack of in room facilities, kettle, minibar, decent tv make it marginal as a 3 star in my view let alone 4!

Looking at hotels around us in Sorrento this one was very good and nice and central. The car park at Conca Park was very busy and a bit expensive at 20 Euros per day, most days a few cars had to be moved before you could get the car out. Sunloungers at the hotel had to be paid for at 5 euro each, we were not expecting this. All other aspects of this hotel were as shown on venere.com and were very enjoyable.

This was our first time in Sorrento. The Hotel Conca Park was well situated, with a beautiful view of the Bay and Mt. Vesuvius, yet only a few minutes walk to the main part of town. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it very much. The entrance and public rooms are very impressive. The hotel staff were very friendly and nice and very helpful giving directions, etc, and they provided a ride up from the street level through the tunnel in a little electric cart; the public areas of the hotel were like a 5 stars hotels. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea -- an extraordinary view. Our only criticism regards the bathroom and the room itself, which is more like that of a 3 stars hotel: very small stall shower with bad water pressure, no glass glasses (only plastic), little space to put toiletries; we had to request soap and another shower cap. There was no place to hang a towel. It was very "minimalistic". The TV was very small; there were no bedside lamps for reading, and we had to request a change of sheets after 4 days. These are small details but they make a difference. If these little details were changed, the hotel could be a 5 stars hotel. The breakfast was also very minimalistic. But if we were to return to Sorrento, we would probably go back to the hotel Conca Park.

The Conca Park is a delightful hotel, paying for a sea view is really worth extra. The hotel views are across the Sorrento and out across to Naples - it is a wonderful view. The hotel is very pleasant and is in a good location with a short walk to all the Sorrento restaurants and shops but without the noise.

They charge 3 eruos for towels at the pool and 5 euros for a deck chair, which seems a bit strange at a 4 star hotel.

Good Hotel, but I stayed in one single room very very very small, too small for an hotel like "CONCA PARK". Public areas look pretty, but my room is old, small and noisy.

The hotel reception team (aprox. 5 people) was not welcome at all. Information about the hotel, local buses and other directions was not given easily by any of them (1 of 5 knew some incomplete info). Their attitude showed lack of motivation and pride of what they suppose to be doing in an hotel reception area like Conca Park. The hotel is beautiful, excellent breakfast, good location. Access by bus from train station, but too far away to walk. The hotel should not charge extra for pool towels or chairs. Conca Park should include SPA and gym services inside the hotel, this would convert the hotel into an attractive resort. Venere offered excellent discounted rates compared to the original room rates.

The Conca Park Hotel was pretty good however my one MAJOR complaint is the following: how does a hotel justify charging its patrons 5 Euros/day for a chair at the pool and 3 Euros/day for a towel when they are residing there?! The hotel pool was in fact open to people who were not staying at the hotel and of course charging an amount would be justified but I think it's appalling to charge a hotel guest to use a pool chair. This was confirmed by any and all guests who were at the pool during my stay. Admittedly, the room size was great as Italy is known for its "closet-size" accommodations.

Parking was expensive 20euros per night. That must be notified into annoncement
