Muy buen servicio y atencion. Muy comodo. Algo lejos de Sorrento y Positano, pero no importa si tenes auto..., en 15 minutos llegabamos a donde queriamos. Exelente desayuno!!

A grand Italian hotel in a beautiful setting, a 20 minute drive from Sorrento. The hotel provides a free regular shuttle service into Sorrento you pre book to use. They have access to a private 'beach club' - but there is no beach, just rocky sea, but with good restaurant. The hotel's restaurant is traditional with excellent food - pricy but good. Great pool and tennis court. Good and cheaper lunch available at the pool cafe. Quiet and picturesque. Generous good quality and wide range of breakfast food. Can't wait to return!

We are a mature (55-60) couple who stayed here for 2 weeks in August 2008. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us, the hotel is beautiful and is well worth the 4 stars it has been awarded. Although we were only Bed & Breakfast, we had dinner in the hotel most nights as the food was very good, reasonably priced and the service was efficient and, above all, friendly. The only down side about the whole experience was the cost of drinks in the hotel, but that's only to be expected in such a high priced area. We would definitely return!

The hotel itself is nice but don't dare to get the cheapest room, the shower is simply and i mean simply RIDICOLUOS!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2007 and it´s was excellent. Great view from our balcony, Vesuvio on one side and the coast on the other side. Room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was really good. The poolarea was also great even though we didn´t use it. Great if you have kids with you. We went to dinner one night, really fancy, but expensive and not really worth it. We went downtown the other nights.. In the evening you could sit outside in the bar area to have some drinks and listen to some music. Relaxing.. The best thing was the bus shuttle that took you back and forth to the city. You really need to make sure you book in the reception before. You can´t just hop on. If we going there again we´re staying at this hotel. Happy that we found this hotel away from downtown area. Of couse we thought at first that this was to far away from the center, but when we got there we wouldn´t have it any other way.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. It is a beautiful hotel with a lovely pool area. The only thing was that the pool area closed at 6pm which we thought was a bit early. However, they do let you stay longer by the pool as long as you return the beach towels back to them by 6. The hotel room/bathroom were very big. The shower wasnt designed very well. We kept on getting water all over the floor as there was no glass or shower curtain to stop the water splashing. This wasnt a major problem though. The service provided by staff was very good. We noticed our phone wasnt working one night and they immediately fixed it. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Sorrento town. The hotel provides a free shuttle up until 8.30 pm, then you have to pay 1 euro after that. We didnt mind the hotel being that far as it was situated in the mountains which was beautiful. It was also very quiet compared to town. Overall we were very happy.

The hotel was just beautiful especially the pool area. We wish we would have had a balcony. Maybe we should have asked. The women who checked us in and out was rather blah, blah. I think she made us feel negative about the hotel. If you arrive into Sorrento at the train station and need a cab, make sure you ask how much first. We were ripped off by a large man with red hair in a big white Mercedes.

unfriendly welcoming. Had booked a superior room with sea view, got a basic room with no view. Complained, but met with arrogance. After 45 min of arguing we got a superior room, but no sea view. Got a discount when we checked out after more arguing. Nice hotel, but an unfriendly staff ruined our stay here.

Very nice hotel, completely worth its price and number of Stars (4). We were delighted and have no regret on anything. Small negative points : *the breakfeast is not very tasty (but not horrible neither) *The swimming pool close too early : 7p.m

The Grand Hotel Nastro Azzurro is situated above the town of Sorrento. It provides a free shuttle bus service to Sorrento. It is a very nice 4 star Hotel with friendly and competent staff. It has the most beautiful tennis court i ever saw, overlooking the ocean. Tennis is free of charge. We can highly recommend the Hotel and would love to go back there.

Great place, nice quiet location in the hills of Sorrento, nice pool, good breakfast, free parking, convenient shuttle bus service, not very big rooms, non-personal not overwhelming friendly staff. However, I can certainly recommend this hotel!

pretty far away from Sorrento - only to reach by car or shuttle - difficult to find - rare parking lots - sunprotecting jalousie in bathroom was defect, so no outer light came in: what did they do about it? -> they put a drawer from the living room under it to keep it 20 centimeter open!! included breakfast was ok - no just italian coffee and cake but eggs, ham, sausage etc. GPS-Data: N 40°37'01" E 14°25'11"

The hotel was miles out of Sorrento and inconvienient for bars, restaurants and shops. It had no option other than a buffet for Tuesday night when we wanted an a la carte meal. There was no porter or instructions to find the room which was in a block away from the hotel involving walking in the rain to get to breakfast. The car park was small and a distance from the hotel and rooms. Access to the rooms with baggage was difficult. The restaurant was in the basement with little natural light.

The hotel was farther away from the center of Sorrento than we were led to believe. The hotel itself is lovely, though, and the staff was magnificent! We had a wonderful dinner there.

Hotel was lovely, room was gorgeous (in block out the back), very clean but not very well maintained. Reception staff were pleasant. Service in the restaurant was not very good - on our first night we ordered an A La Carte dish but after finishing it was impossible to order any more! We were still hungry but gave up trying to catch a waiter. We suggest you order too many dishes at the outset as they are not very big!!! Food was tasty but we were too worried to eat the buffet as nothing was covered. Room Service was non-existant - we were told by reception that there was no room service even though the pretty brochure has a wide range of food available. We tried the stated telephone number for 15 minutes with no answer. We went to sleep hungry! Overall - expensive tariff covers the hotels bricks & mortar (4 star) but not the service (2 star) received.

This hotel is in a great location and has every possibility of being a good 4* hotel. However, the staff is very unfriendly and it feels that everything is sub standard. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had in any 4* hotel; cheap ham, cheese and salami, canned fruit or over-ripe fresh fruit and canned juice. On top of that they kept running out of fresh bread?? The restaurant food was OK but over-priced so after a day or so we stopped spending any money in the hotel and just got the shuttle bus to Sorrento and ate and drank there. It's a shame because this hotel has such a great location and view. It could be really nice.

Reception staff were not very friendly - weren't concerned in the slightest that they didn't seem to have our reservation when we came to check in. The rooms are tiny and would not say they are furnished to 4* standard. Rooms were very noisy, the odd doors (looked like they were out of a prison) did nothing to dampen the sound and the rooms being so small meant you were right next to the door. Lobby was very grand but first impression was not held for long. Shuttle bus to Sorrento was useful and frequent.

Very disappointed with the room, in particular the bathroom. It was incredibly small and the shower was not very well designed and was would flood the whole bathroom when you had a shower. Which was very dangerous and quite filthy. Also found the restuarant staff to be quite rude. Reception and bar staff were lovely though. The general grounds though were appealing as was the recreational facilities

Very nice hotel with well furnished rooms and balcony, although we stayed in the neighbour house. Pool area is in a very nice garden. Hotel is a little bit far away from the city, but the shuttle service (and driver) is great.

This is a very nice hotel set in the hills behind sorrento (about 30 mins by courtesy bus). A nice place to stay very tranquil, nice rooms and very relaxing. However there was one underlying problem with the hotel .... the resturants! For a hotel that has three yes three different resturants advertised I have never had worse food. We were fortunatley not half board so we ate in the two principal resturants only once each, however please if you do go make the effort to go down to sorrento to eat. The food is half the price and twice the quality!

It is a very romantic and fancy place. We here for our honeymoon and we would stay there again. It is about 30 minutes shuttle drive to Sorrento Downtown. We were surprised that there is no beach in Sorrento.

we are very disappointed with the overall presentation of the room. the window was broken, the remote control was broken, tv was very small and the tv reception was poor. there was a cigarette burnt on the bedspread. i would put up with all these from a 2 star hotel but not a 4 star hotel.

Most nights we were kept awake by dogs barking. Request for room to the rear of the hotel not met. Very little to do at hotel and had to go out to Sorrento which took 20/30 mins. Inadequate small shower which flooded the floor area every shower. Food was below par and inconsistant. Overall the price payed was just about right , but it was just to far from anywhere. Would we recommend this hotel?. No

Remarks: -Breakfast quality very bad -At check out, receptionist told us that for internet reservations they didn´t accept any credit card, just cash. After long discussion it was paid with credit card but then they didn´t want to give us a proper bill, and after further discussion and receptionist bad face he gave us a print paper with the hotel stamp saying he was doing a favour to us as being an exception! It´s unbelieveable in a 4-star hotel! Come to your own conclusions on that...
