We chose the hotel because of its early shuttle to the airport (we had a 6:20 flight). We arrived in plenty of time. We were most impressed with the hotel and would stay there again; its location was most convenient.

Very convenient for catching a flight out of Malpensa Airport. Somewhat isolated and difficult to find.

We were exhausted after a train delay and arrived at the hotel @ 11:30pm. They were sensitive to this and quickly checked us in. I asked for a wake up call due to AM flight and call was 15 minutes late. I expected a good breakfast and it was sparce with extras offered for extra price. Still room was clean and location convient to airport with free shuttle.

the hotel was the perfect place to stay on the last night of our trip. It was very close to the airport and provided a free shuttle service there for our flight out. It also had a nice restaurant with a decent menu but rather pricey.

This hotel was one of the best we stayed at in Italy. We overslept our first day and missed breakfast. My husband happened to mention it while checking out and before we knew it they had brought out fresh cappuccino and biscuits. Very clean, welcoming, and a good night's sleep. Thank you!

Very good airport hotel. Clean, friendly and relaxed. Very quiet. Excellent shuttle service to/from airport. They were having a kind of African theme on the interior decoration. Although nice bright colours, it looked a bit out-of-place.

The Hotel fits the situation of an Airport Hotel being very close to Malpensa , with quick connection for travellers. Restaurant service and food was above average and good value for money .Staff were friendly and competent .

Excellent hotel for access to Malpensa Airport. We had an early flight and the accomodations worked out fine. Nice shuttle service to and from the terminal. Nice restaurant (a little pricey). There is not much around the hotel but we got a nice quiet night's rest before our journey. Very modern and clean accomodations.

The First Hotel is about 5 min driving distance to the Malpensa airport, so as an overnight stay is very convenient - although a bit pricey. They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. Call them upon your arrival and local cab drivers will lead you to their pick up point. Scheduling it back to the airport was also very easy to do. Be sure to have pocket money to tip your driver who then becomes your baggage handler at the hotel. The front desk clerk was a snooty woman who is obviously not in the right career. There is also a restaurant right next door. Eat there as opposed to teh hotel's restaurant. Even the shuttle drivers recommend it. A bit pricey but convenient.

The Hotel sold our reservation. They told me that my credit card was decilined, however I used the same card that morning and it worked fine. I'm sure they just sold our room for a higher price. They did find us a room at another hotel for a higher price. That hotel was just fine. Don't use First.

The hotel was perfect for meeting our needs of a nice hotel near the airport for a morning flight. It would have been nice to be able to go to different restaurants besides the hotel, but this is minor and not an issue for the hotel.

First hotel is a basic airport hotel. Our room was quite small, but clean and quiet. We had no problem reserving a spot on their shuttle to the airport. As for food, if you prefer not to eat at the hotel (prices are high), there is a very good restaurant just next door to it.

The staff was warm and welcoming, especially as we got in rather late and left very early for our return flight home. I was pleasantly surprised by both the location of the hotel, the outside appearance, the interior lobby, and the design of the rooms themselves. I would highly recommend it to anyone that was looking for a reasonable hotel near the MXP airport.

This was our first stop in Europe - a big test for the hotel & Venere - and it all worked like clockwork. We arrived at midnight from London - the advertised came when I phoned and was waiting when we emerged from the airport. The hotel was close to the airport and clean, the staff were friendly & efficient. The shuttle returned us to the airport the next morning. A great way to start our holiday.

Perfect for travellers who have to fly to/from Malpensa very late or very early. The no-charge parking is a big advantage. Hotel surroundings are not important for this kind of facilities. Anyway the hotel itself is very agreeable, and the breakfast complete.

We have stayed at the First Hotel on many occasions over the past 3 or 4 years when travelling from Milano, and have always found it a pleasant place to stay. The staff are very friendly and well informed and helpful. The dining area is a little dark (underground) but the food is excellent.

Great place to stay for a night near the airport. We read poor reviews about the restaurant. Decided to eat next door, but they were closed. Then we were told about another restaurant further down the street called Samarcanda. It was excellent. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Nicer than a pizza place. From the hotel, go left to the end of the street, make a right and it's on the left.

Reason I can't rate the overall experience better is that the shower was not good. The water temperature changed constantly from extremely hot to extremely cold very quickly and without any change from the person taking the shower.

Only stayed one night so as to catch our flight back to the States in the morning. Restaurant in hotel was good but pricey, internet access in lobby was nice and only a nominal fee, shuttle to and from airport could have been better (pick up was awful, driver not very helpful), staff was not unfriendly, but I wouldn't call them friendly. Very clean, good size rooms would use it again if I needed to catch an early flight out of Milan.

First is an excellant hotel. Not the cheapest we stayed at in Italy, but with the convenience of transportation to and from the airport it was well worth it for our last night stay in Italy. While the hotel's menu looked good, we ate at the restaurant right next door and had a wonderful meal.

First Hotel is an excellent place to stay if you are coming in late from the Milano airport or leaving early to catch a flight. The shuttle driver is very pleasant and helpful with the bags. The rooms have coffee and tea makers in them with cookies and chocolates--what a nice touch--we didn't find this anywhere else in Italy. Staff are very welcoming and professional. Air conditioning is normal for Italy--a bit sluggish and not much help if it is very muggy outside. The bathrooms are enormous and very clean, with LOTS of towels. THe only caveat is that the second time we stayed there, the shower was running scalding hot and freezing cold in a 5 second cycle, so much so that I gave up and took a sponge bath in the enormous sink; the first room we had did not have any problem with the water. The other thing is the restaurant in the basement--it is fine for breakfast, which comes with the price of the room--the breakfast ladies are helpful and set out a great fare. We made the mistake if eating dinner on our last night, and it was the most expensive meal of our whole trip for ministrone and lasagne (and not very good lasagne at that). The fellow who seated us and took our order was not happy with his job, and this was reflected to all the diners. Other than this one chap, everyone else was full of smiles and help. We would definitely go again, but would not eat dinner there.

This hotel and all of its services were ridiculously overpriced. The rooms were clean but small, food was expensive (EU4 for a can of cola?!), and there's practically nothing in the town as an alternative. Better to stay a bit farther from the airport, save a _ton_ of money, and come in on the Malpensa express for your flight than to stay in this overpriced place.

Excellent location for an early morning departure from Malpensa. Shuttle driver was the most friendly, helpful guy, even at 5 a.m. Internet access was convenient and helpful. Rooms were very bare-bones and ugly and electricity only works with the card key inserted. Good, American stylebreakfast. Interesting dinner, although pricey, with indifferent waiters. Didn't enjoy the stay but the convenience was great.

If you want to stay near the airport you just can't do any better. We got in around noon and wanted to see Milan, their shuttle whisked us to the Airport where we caught a bus that dropped us at the Terminal Centrale and took the subway all over Milan. The staff spoke excellent English, the breakfast started way earlier than most places and was very good. Everything was very new, clean, and business-like. The price was very good, especially for the location. I'd consider this a good location for exploring Milan because of their great shuttle connection to the airport and from there to the center of town.

Personnel at front desk were all polite and helpful. We requested a room change due to bed type. We went to dinner and when we returned our luggage had been moved to the new room for us. I do recommend the restaurant next door. We used the hotel restaurant for breakfast and lunch; both were fine. The driver who came first to the airport was not very polite. There was no room for us and we had to wait for the next driver who was much nicer. I would definitely stay again.

The meals were too expensive for us and no where to eat in walking distance. The hotel was great and the personnel very polite. The shuttle driver at 6 am on 7/26 told us it was British Airways where he dropped us off, but we had to walk the full length of the airport to find BA. We were not happy.

First Hotel is a good hotel, right next to Milan Malpensa airport. It is an excellent place to stay if you have an early flight. The area is a little desolate, and there is very little in the way of restaurant choice, even if you drive 7-8 km into Somma Lombardo; the staff would recommend only the hotel restaurant. My only complaint about the property is that it is not possible to open the windows, so the only air is through the air conditioning system.

We booked two double rooms in July 2006. The woman at the desk who greeted us was very professional: she was clear and informative about transportation to the airport and offered a wake-up call for morning. She was pleasant and helpful, anticipating all our needs. The hotel was clean, very quiet and comfortable. It is truly 5 minutes from the airport. It was easy to drive our rental car to the airport from the hotel. Excellent stay!

The Hotel has a restaurant (maybe it's new?). The prices looked reasonable but as we thought there was no restaurant we ate before our arrival so I cannot comment on the dinner. The breakfast was very good. There is also a bar in the lobby area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect last stop for a Milan Malpense departure. The shuttle is quick to the airport. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. There is nothing around the Hotel and it and the airport are 40-miles (65km) from Milan so once you get there don't plan on going out.

Quite close to airport with periodic shuttle. Room was spacious, at least by standards of other hotels I stayed at in Italy. The closeness to the airport and free shuttle service is what attacted me. It was easy to find because they have their own signs guiding you there then you can't miss it because it is a redish color square modern box mixed in a residential neighborhood. The staff was very professional and accomodating and allowed me to check in early which I greatly appreciated. I read prior reviews about the restaurant not being very good and expensive for what you got, so I did not go there and could not rate it currently except to say the breakfast was typical. I went to the restaurant "La Quercia" next store for both an early lunch and dinner. The food was homemade and very good. The only downside to this hotel is there is not anything to do. It would be nice if they had a pool or an exercise facility, anything really. I had checked in early and was not departing until the next morning and had no transporation so I was glad I had a good book and they had 2 English speaking TV stations. I did try walking to the village but there was nothing there except a charming church worth visiting. All in all, convenient to the airport and perfect for an incoming or outgoing night stay. Happy travels!

we were flying out of milan the following day, so we wanted a hotel near malpensa airport. the first hotel is a nice moderately priced hotel. we had taken the bus from milan train station to malpensa and with a quick call, we were picked up by their shuttle to be taken to the hotel. i had requested a non-smoking room which we received. we had a light supper and a pleasant evening before our flight the next day. the first hotel was everything we wanted for the night.

Excellent location near the airport. Great staff and shuttle service. The only problem was the restaurant. Dinner prices were absurd for what we received, but there was nothing else available. We actually stayed here for the first night of our holidays in November and the last night in December. On the second night we ate before we checked in. They list meal prices in the elevator but those prices were just for the appetizers. Breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip. I would recommend this hotel due to its location and amenities but would strongly suggest that you don't plan on eating in their dining room (except for the included breakfast).

The hotel is located in a small village, near the Malpensa airport, and offers free shuttle, which is very convenient. The double room is spacious and so is the bathroom. The food in the hotel restaurant is not of the best quality and for that quality rather expensive, and unfortunately there is no restaurant nearby (actually there is one next door, but was closed in dinner time!). Very friendly and competent staff, speaking good English. If you need only a good overnight rest and don't care for good food, this is an excellent choice.

It is located very close to the airport and it is a convinient place if you need to take an early flight. You can take the train to downtown Milan from the airport if you have time for more sightseeing. They offer a free shuttle to get you from and back to the airport. You need to pay it if you want to use it beyond that. The hotel has a very modern, clean style. And I did not have to wake up super early to take my flight.

We didnt spend much time here as we arrived late (after 9pm) and left early (about 6:30am. Can't beat the location relative to the airport. They promoted free airport shuttle service, but our experience was that there was not sufficient capacity to provide that serve to all that were interested. Suggest others reserve space in shuttle ahead of time.

We selected this hotel based on other readers' comments and found it to be perfect for a one-night stay (or longer if you have a car) prior to leaving Malpensa for US. Location and convenience to the Airport were as expected, and just right for an early morning flight out of Milan. We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Restaurant food was very good, service was just a little slow because there was a rush of late arrivals. Restaurant decor was a little austere, and location in lower level means no windows.

Although this hotel is so close to the airport you'd never know. The rooms are so quiet, you never hear a plane at any time. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. We'll be staying at First again on our next trip to Italy.

Difficulty getting a taxi from the airport to the hotel--didn't understand the phone system. Decorations in hotel rather startling--to bright lighting? Enjoyed stay, and found the hotel very helpful. The shuttle back was great!

We arrived just before midnight, very exhausted from our drive from Tuscany. After returning our rental car at the Airport, we called for a ride to the hotel. Within one minute of walking outside, the van was there to pick us up! The hotel is in a perfect location to the Malpensa Airport, just a 5 minute ride. Check in was quick and efficient, the hotel and room was very nice and clean with a great shower! The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, a great way to end our last day in Italy and send us on to our next destination. Would definetly stay there again. Regards, Kathleen Archer Boston, MA
