Roma Hotel - Sliema

Stayed 7 nights and loved it. Staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Overlooks a busy road junction but then it could not be handier as a tour base. Seaview rooms have a wonderful outlook with handy balcony but non seaview may be a bit boring. Ground floor restaurant is good but staff can recommend other good bars and places to eat. Value for money, excellent.

Ottimo per rapporto qualità/prezzo, adatto a chi non ha pretese, camere arredamento essenziale ma pulito, si trova sul lungomare di Sliema e vicino al centro, colazione semplice ma a buffet

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a misunderstanding on the price of the rooms but it was solved before leaving. We enjoyed our stay in Malta a lot and would like to fly there again, very soon!

It has a bit of a dorm room feel to it, no carpet, plastic lawn chairs inside, but the bed was nice and the room is fairly priced. The room was clean. It was as advertised, private bath, etc. We upgraded to an ocean view and the view is excellent. I recommend the extra money for the view. A few things that were odd - the boundary between our balcony and our neighbor's balcony was about 2 feet high. It sort of felt like we were sharing a balcony. No big deal - our neighbors were nice. Also, our sliding door lock to the balcony did not function. Might be a concern for a woman traveling alone. Like all european bathrooms at lower prices, when you shower water goes everywhere. The water had great pressure and was hot. Breakfast was fine - no atmosphere but adequate rolls/toast, a few choices of cereal, juice, and a coffee/espresso/latte machine. No eggs or anything like that. Dest personnel were not especially friendly, borderline unfriendly, in fact, but they did their job. We'd definitely go back. I wouldn't take someone there if you're trying to impress them though.
