I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Imperial in Skopje. Although it's a bit outside of the downtown area, it's only a five minute taxi ride from the center of the city (and taxis are quite reasonable in Skopje). The neighborhood is completely quiet and the views of the mountains and the city are beautiful. The staff were very friendly and thoroughly helpful with all of my requests, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. For the reasonable cost of the rooms, this hotel is an absolute bargain and I would unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Skopje.
