Language was a problem, and as we tried to find a guide the hotel staff threw a taxidriver at us who said he'd point out the main sights but that he didn't know more about them. And the map we bought at the trainstation was so out of date that the tourist office wasn't on it. And we couldn't get the staff to understand that there was where we wanted to go. Luckilly we'd met someone who told us what to see, otherwise we would have been totally lost!

I have met there very nice and helpful people.They welcomed us warmly. I would suggest stessing the fact that hotel Ani is situated only a on a distant walk from pl.Makedonija which is the main square of Skopje. You can get there on foot.It's perfect location!
