All lovely and as expected except for one ridiculously expensive Spanish brandy (approx £15). Needless to say, went elsewhere for nightcap after that, so hotel lost out too. Brilliant location.

I stayed in February 2009 on a Saturday night. The hotel was quite empty, being offseason. Still I would like to recommend the hotel! It has a great location, close to the lively city centre as well as close to the waterfront. The rooms are great.

Hotel was nicer then expected from web and reviews. Comfortable room and beds except for above average hum from airconditioner. Pretty outdoor pool area and right across the street from straight beach with mostly singles, couples, and families. Restaurants around hotel mostly expensive, but only a 5 minute walk to center of town. A pretty 10 minute walk to Gay Beach. Unless you want to be in the center of the action, this is a great less crowded area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel San Sebastian Playa. Location, rooms and staff were great. We had 3 rooms for our 6 person family and would return in a heartbeat.

This hotel is beautiful and in a lovely location right on the beach. The balcony on our room had a table and chairs and overlooked a quiet thoroughfare with no traffic and a view of the sea. The rooms are very nice, especially the bathroom, and well equipped and maintained and large. The staff appeared a bit harried and when we requested a room for an additional night it was quoted at a much higher rate (thanks Venere).

There were only six sun loungers by the pool.The pool itself was in the shade most of the day. This meant we had to pay for sun loungers on the beach every day. Everything else in the hotel was lovely.

towels are not for 4 stars hotel. light of bahtroom do not turn off.(Room 210). web says that parking is free but it cost EUR15 per day????

My only complaint is that the air conditioning did not work in our room. Apparently, there has been some remodeling / upgrading over the last few months and our room's A/C did not function. It was quite hot and when we opened the windows, we were inundated with bugs. The hotel management did nothing to make up for this (room discount, free breakfast, etc.) - they did not even offer a real apology. That said, the staff was otherwise very friendly and helpful with directions for our side trips. I would stay there again provided I was sure the air conditioning worked in all of the rooms.

The hotel is Ok: it's a four star! The price is right, the rooms are beautiful. The only disapponting thing is the restaurant of the hotel: such a shame! We paid 137 euro di eat an awful fish and a terrible and disgusting dessert. The price are out of mind.. It's a real pity! Avoid the restaurant, please!
