Hotel Estela Barcelona - Sitges

Hotel is right across the street from public parking and a nice quiet beach. Breakfast is excellent, staff is very friendly and helpful and rooms are nice size. Hotel is 20 minute walk along the seashore boardwalk to the heart of Sitges. Nice beaches along the way and marina and restraunts near by. Very nice hotel.

Sitges is a classic beach town and the Estela Barcelona is a four-star bargain.. situated acrss the road from the best sand beach, with a nice pool and deck, art-filled rooms and public areas and a great breakfast. We recommend it unreservedly.

Très bon rapport qualité prix; à 15 mn du centre en passant lelong du port et de la côte. bon acceuil, chambre spacieuse.plage très proche. seul bemol le café du petit déjeuner est très mauvais

The people in the reception could be more serviceminded but maybe they are but dont speak so good english?!? The cleaninglady where very fiendly and very serviceminded even if she didn´t speak so good english. It was a very nice hotel and our stay was very good.

Rooms are fine. Location is OK but the only "attraction" around the hotel is the beach (fair to good). You need to walk 10-15 min to the center. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is a very good 2-star, maybe a 3. Thus, it is grossly overated and overpriced. The first room that was offered to us was a 1-star room (dirty, dark, very strong tobacco smell, furniture broken) and the fact that it was offered to us does not fit with a 4-star. We had to argue and we were given a better room, although the water faucet was loose, the toilet was not working properly and general appearance of the bathroom was poor. They fixed the toilet. The nice rooms that you see on the Internet? Forget it, there is only 10 of them! One morning, for breakfast, the AC was not working in the restaurant. Come on, 4 stars? NO free Internet in this hotel! Hey, we are in 2009! We had it in a all our hotels so far! Besides the main hall which discloses nice architecture, there is not much to see in what seems to be an aging hotel. Conclusion: room ok (AC good, fair bathroom and bed), swimming pool good, close to a beach (fair) but don't go there expecting a 4-star hotel. But I would NOT recommend this hotel.
