This hotel had lovely grounds and a wonderful setting, and the shortcut through the park to the town centre was excellent, but we found that certain of the staff were not over friendly, especiallly on reception. The breakfast buffet was very poor for a 5 star hotel with very limited choice and on at least two of the mornings items had run out and had not been replaced. I believe 5 star prices for a 4 star service.

A very beautiful hotel with the highest standards of service and cuisine and a complete absence of annoying or intrusive "entertainment" - only a discrete and excellent pianist.
