Hotel Porto Azzurro - Colombare - Sirmione, Sirmione

The outdoor pool is bigger than you can see from the photos. HB menu for a week did lack some imagination, on the breakfast were plenty of different fruits. Overall, we might even go back some day.

Hotel is located in a nice area, easy access to old town and nearby garda parks. Room was not very spacious and the bathroom is out of date. Ventilation/AC was very noisy! Room is sahring a common terrace. Staff was very friendly

This was the first time we stayed at Hotel Porto Azzurro and we liked it very much!

The rooms were nice (even a bit noisy). Facilities perfect, surrounding outstanding. The swimming pool was too cold at this time to try ,but we enjoyed sunbathing :) The staff is very nice & friendy, even if they do not make any effort to speack in French (and they actually CAN speack in French), which was not helpful (especially in this king of hotel -> 3 stars) but we managed in Italian & English. We recommend it :) that was the first time we have been in Sermione, and will probably come back there (but this time at a closer hotel in Sermione itself I guess, even if much more expensive : it's worth it).

It was very nice that the cleaning was so good. And the receptionist with the curly hear was very serviceminded:)The breakfast could be a little bit better, maybe more healthy fresh bread. The room wasnt suitable for trippel room, to small. no 28.

A smaller family owned hotel, very clean and very Italian, with a few British guests. The days we were there, the recpetionist come bar assistant could not have been more helpfull and friendly. Verona 1hour Venice 2.5 hours. Would go back just becuase of such friendly service.

For those who are hoping getting TV info in English or French, forget this hotel. They have the sat, but there are unable to capture french or english channel, which is a pitty. There is a noisy secondary road close to the hotel. They indicate lac view, but only from some room, and far away. The best room are on 2nd floor, swimming pool side, lac view. Meal are OK, not more.

Nice hotel, was as described. A good 15-20 minute walk from the center but there is a bus. Good facilities and very helpful staff. Pool was a welcome reprite from the heat as swimming in the lake is not great. The only thing that lets them down is the quality of the breakfast, the coffee/tea are from a vending machine. Overall I would reccomend the hotel.

Quiet and friendly hotel conveniently located on the south end of Garda. Staff were helpful, translations into English from the menu always leaves a surprise or two. The pool was clean and there was enough recliners around the pool. Access to the local buses was good and we enjoyed our stay (seven nights). Good value for money for a 3 star hotel and we found the food good with a reasonable wine selection. Definitely a hotel for Italians. June 2005-07-24

Centrally located. No tea / coffee making facilities. Only one English TV channel. No radio. Excellent pool area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Apart from the aformentioned no real complaints.

We had an excellent holiday. The staff are very friendly, the pool is great, the room convenient, the food is simple but excellent, especially the salad table. It is a great location for visiting and to be recommended highly.

Excellent séjour autant du point de vue de la chambre que du restaurant. Le buffet de petit déjeuner est copieux. Les chambres sont toutefois mal insonorisées, le bruit entre elles est trop important. Heureusement la clientèle est plutôt calme et atténue ce problème.

The hotel seems to be newly renovated. Staff is nice and helpful. Close to Sirmione (a walk of 30 minutes or a short drive). We recomend to ask for a room facing towards the pool. The other side is less beautiful and facing to south. The AC in the room works perfectly well and absolutely quiet - but you cannot use the balkony as much than on the pool side because of the heat. Generally we can recommend the hotel!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel better than we had expected. Hotel situated in beautiful quiet area a few minutes stroll from main centre which was much busier. Well worth a visit and hotel excellent value for prices quoted. Looks better than photoes on web.
