Not enough personnel, poor service at breakfast (has to wait for every item for 5-15 minutes; unfriendly personnel). Breakfast is average (bad fruits, very limited amount of hot water for tea-no chance to get more, omellete is for those who was fast to catch it). Beach towels are not provided in September ("Season is over !"). Too early check out time (10 am)for a hotel charging 100Euro/night. Big free parking area. Too high price for quality/services although Sirmione in general is an expensive, touristic place.

Good Hotel, with an elegant and beautiful garden, close to the Sirmione's pedestrian area. About 5 min walk. The room with internal swimming pool sightseeing, was very nice, with a but the bathroom was too small. The hotel also have a internal parking (park near the city centre is very expensive!!) and a small but very nice equipped beach. Circa 5 min a piedi.

Very nice location. Good correspondence between website and actual facilities. In spite of an ant invasion in the bathroom I consider it money worth and can absolutely come back again in the future.

The property is 50 years old, and it shows! In need of updating. Air conditioning was not adequate. Breakfast buffet was low quality and low quantity - the orange juice was nothing more than colored water. Tried breakfast on the first morning and never set foot again in the restaurant. Pool was nice size and temperature, short on seating. The beach was not usable - full of weeds in the swim area. Enjoyed Sirmione and location was convenient to walk to the old town. Overall, poor value for the money.

The only problem ist that the rooms are a bit small for a long-term stay. For a short-term stay like ours they are all right.

Having a whole class of school pupils didn't help, having to contest with their noise on the beach was helped by good teachers and that perchance they left just as we came down. we changed rooms because they said that there were no students on our floor wheresa that was not the case

Very romantic surroundings, very nice interiors, and wooden furniture. Clean rooms, comfortable service. Breakfast time should be prolonged . we could hear our room nejghbours too much, and our bathroom window was on the balcony of other neighbours … other than that it was perfect.

Pets accepted only because of low season. Not very flexible as no possibility to have dinner at the hotel because overbooked? Room cleanliness only for the evident locations lot of dust at the other locations. Acceptable breakfast. The price asked was the one quoted at booking. Could be advantageous to look for a 4*(if still open and accepting pets). The location made the stay OK.

La Paul was a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and good sized. The front desk staff was very helpful. The desk clerk left instructions and bus schedule for us so we could get to the train in Verona. The bartender opened a bottle of wine we bought in town and gave us two glasses to take to our room! (And no cork fee!) The towel warmer rack in our room did not work but a very minor issue. The breakfast which was included was very adequate. The wait staff however seemed to be bothered by the whole thing. They weren't very friendly at all. It is in a good location for walking to Sirmione and close to the bus stop. The restaurant closest to the hotel, on the opposite side of the street was very good, but I can't remember the name. It was a little noisy at night, but I think it was because there was a student group there when we were and they were a bit loud. Quieted down after about 11pm though.

It is difficult to know what to expect from a 3 star hotel. If you require a room in a clean and tidy enviroment and nothing else then i would say stay at la paul.We booked a deluxe room with panoramic views of the lake and this was indeed printed on our receipt at the end of the stay. in reality we had a room with no view, ceiling leaking continuosly and a door that grated along the floor and and on complaing, told no other rooms were available. the breakfast was awful with several of the packet buiscuits / cakes being out of date, the juice long life, tea bags/ bread stale and coffee mud. after 2 attempts we ate out every day. it was virtually impossible to get a drink from the small unattended bar which we waited at, to met by tuts of disapproval.when we 1st arrived we asked others where we got a drink and the whole place errupted with laughter.it has no facilities for children either.in general i feel it was expensive for the service provided and the comments and pictures of la paul are misleading. i do not recommend a stay here.

Although this Hotel is situated in a perfect spot and has lovely surroundings it is worthless if the Hotel facilities are poor. We had a room which had no windows just a glass door which overlooked the main road and car park. It was on the ground floor and was very noisey due to the proximity to the main reception area. If you are given the rooms in this corridor then you will not see anything of the beautiful lake surroundings. When asked to change rooms we were basically ignored. There are plenty of hotels in this area that look as if they would offer better outlooks. Breakfast was good but you had to arrive before 9am to get the full compliment. I will NOT be going to this hotel again and would suggest anyone else booking to make sure you do not get rooms 1 - 7. They class them as superior but are poor. The hotel did not replace the soap when it run out you had to ask. Seems like penny pinching to me. The lake however is excellent. We would go again but not to the La Paul.

A very comfortable hotel right on the Lake. Breakfast buffet excellent. Very clean rooms, modern bathrooms. Service excellent (English speaking reception staff) Would (and shall!) go there again. A small amount of noise from hallway/other rooms probably due to the tiles floors enhancing the sound.

A nice hotel in a good location. Nice room overlooking lake Garda, and an easy 10 mins walk to Sirmione centre. Staff not particularly friendly or welcoming but not rude. Swimming pool v. cold. Had one evening meal which despite the great location was fairly poor - I'd eat in town. Get up early for breakfast otherwise it'll be gone

Very nice hotel, with an excellent location, right on top of Lake Garda, and just a few minutes walk from the old centre of Sirmione, which makes it ideal for relaxing with fantastic views and going out to the village. The breakfast was also excellent, and was served in a room facing the lake. We were a bit unlucky with our room, though, which was on the stairs area, and therefore was quite noisy, mainly in the mornings. Apart from this, all conditions were very good and we recommend it.

HOTEL lA PAUL IS IN A MAGNIFCANT LAOCATION WITHIN 10 MINUTES WALK OF THE CASTLE AND OLD TOWN. HAVING SEEN THE TOWN YOU COULD NOT STAY IN A MORE CONVENIENT PLACE. THE BREAKFASTS WERE VERY GOOD . THE POOL WAS VERY NICE AND THE STAFF GOOD ALSO. WE ONLY HAD ONE EVENING MEAL AT THE HOTEL AND I WOULD ONLY RATE IT AS OK, BUT THERE ARE MANY VERY GOOD RESTAURANTS WITHIN 15 MINUTES WALK.

We only had one problem at this hotel - the air conditioning was not working but it took us 2 days to convince the proprietors that this was the case (because the fans were whirring they didn't believe us that they weren't actually lowering the temperature, despite the fact that the room temperature gauge said 29 degrees). So we had 2 nights in overbearing heat conditions, but they moved us to another room for our 3rd night. Despite this, the hotel was generally good and our view over Lake Garda was wonderful.

Hotel staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Rooms were modern, spacious, clean and well equiped. Ideal location to explore Sirmione and surrounding area. Private beach stated on web page is not available for swimming, nearby public beaches are very good.

A cut above the 3 star hotels lining both sides of the road to the old part of Sirmione. Spacious room overlooks swimming pool but glazing keeps out noise. Very effective air conditioning. Good size bathroom. Sun loungers overlooking lake (no swimming here)and lake-side kiosk selling very reasonably priced drinks. Reception staff charming. The only black mark is the totally inedible breakfast (included in the rate): fake fruit juice, coffee from a dispensing machine, processed meats, lots of packeted cakes and biscuits, no fruit(yoghurt was OK.

Great location. Excellent breakfast. Room was probably the smallest of any of the hotels that we stayed in, but was adequate. Would recommend it.

The garden overlooking the lake is by far the hotels best feature. The room was small and although was generally clean it felt like it needed a spring clean to get rid of the cobwebs. Ten minutes walk to the main centre which is good value for money when looking at other hotel prices in the area.

Our room was broken into in the middle of the night whilst we were sleeping. I awoke to find the burglar standing at the foot of the bed and chased him. He escaped and I subsequently recovered all our belongings lying on the patio. The matter was reported to the night staff and the police. However, the next day the manager was informed and on discovering that we had recovered our property asked therefore what our problem was. He expressed no concern for our welfare (I was injured in the incident), nor offered any apology or other support. Indeed the cost of two cups of coffee the night ported provied at the time of the incident appeared on our final bill. In all respects but security the hotel was an excellent choice soured by the attitude of the manager towards his guests welfare.

Only stayed on night at La Paul as a stopover on a trip to the Dolomites, nice location, right on the lake, walking distance to the center of the historic district, very inexpensive, though we were there in the off season, exceptionally small shower with no doors/curtain seemed like it was always about to overflow. Price/Location is the key to the attractiveness of this hotel.
