Beautiful hotel with a great location. We had a room with a view of Lake Garda and a balcony and both were superb. Breakfast was beautiful on the Lake. The food was delicious and there was a great variety in the offerings. The great thing was that the sister hotel, Hotel Olivi, had a beautiful pool and we were given full access to use it during our stay. Hotel Eden gave us the towels and we just walked 5 min. We also highly recommend a night swim at the spa!

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Eden for a full week in August, 2011 after staying there for a few days in 2009. It is one of our very favorite hotels anywhere. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The view to Lake Garda is terrific. The location close to the Castle, all Sirmione sights and especially the ferry dock is terrific. And the breakfast is large, substantial, varied -- world-class! As I write this, I want to visit there again...it is a special place and we highly recommend it to all.

We arrived at the beginning of off season in drizzly foggy weather to a very welcoming staff who spoke English far better than I speak Italian. I think that if we visited at a different time of year/weather we would have been thrilled but the weather was dismal so we opted to leave one day early. The management was very cooperative and did not charge us for the last day, recognizing that the weather really was quite poor. We would definitely visit again but probably not in mid-late October.

This hotel was excellent quality. All of the staff we met were courteous & helpful. The room was excellant ("strange" room lights not withstanding) ... bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in whilst on holiday... balcony & lake view were well worth the extra supplement ... buffet breakfast was superb & a great start to a day of sightseeing. Only 2 minor complaints ... aircon was noisy & safe was only large enough to fit our passports! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Sirmione.

I especially want to commend the services of two Hotel Eden employees (both breakfast waiters) for their competence, friendliness, sense of humor and in general "simpatico" dispositions. Their names are Agosto Cesare (first and middle names) and Giachino ("Jack"). Good guys, and a key part of the overall causual friendliness of the Hotel Eden -- and why I hope to return if not "prossimo anno", then soon thereafter!

Excellent room in a very nice, well-situated hotel. I booked a quad for 3 because other reviews say triples have no views. We were large room top floor with lake view and balcony, which made the holiday. First night (cocktails) and first morning (brunch) were an excellent start to the holiday. Highly recommended.

Lovely room with generous private balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast on the patio looking out to the water - lovely! Hotel situated on the corner of a lively and characterful Piaza. Sirmione is beautiful and full of character. Very romantic 30th wedding Anniversary and will go again for 35th!

The aircondition was somewhat noisy, so we chose to switch it off during the night. This done, there could still be heard a humming sound, maybe from the ventilation/exhaust system. The surroundings and the view from the balcony are wonderful, the minus only being the location being so central that noise from boats at the day could be heard and one night there was a concert on the piazza next to the hotel. However, these nuisances were tolerable.

The only point of attention is the access by car to the garage if a parking place is reserved.Because of the allmost 200 meters of passing through narrow pedestrian road ,I would advise any traveller by car to do the following : 1)if a codriver exists, the driver should park the car momentarily with alarm lights about 100 meters before the entrance to the castle, then go on foot to the hotel, take the key of the garage from the hotel reception ,return immediately to the car and have it parked inside the old city. 2)If no codriver exists ,then the driver should go by car to the hotel entrance inside the old city, take the key of the garage, drive back, move to the right in a square roote and get the car parked. It will be difficult only for the first time . Everything else will function o.k.

Hotel Eden is a very nice and cosy hotel situated in the very centre of Sirmione on the shores of Lago di Garda. Everything is near (it's own beach, restaurants, shopes, garage), the personnel very warming and professional. It's a perfect place for a great holiday, with or without kids.

A very pleasant hotel situated on the waterfront and very close to the boat docking jetty. Very convenient for travelling to all the towns on Lake Garda. Although busy outside we were not disturbed by any noise. My insider tip for Sirmione would be that if you are fortunate enough to secure a parking spot outside the hotel don't move your car until it is time to vacate the hotel, there is no guarantee that you will get your parking spot back, you won't need your car anyway because you can reach all places of interest by boat. Unless you want to go to Verona, but it is not realy worth the trip. Visit was Holiday.

Difficult to find fault with this hotel Cleanliness was brilliant, staff friendly and helpful. All spoke good English with the exception of the night porter. Cold buffet breakfast was extensive with strawberries and champagne added on Sunday! Rooms very spacious even though singles, and all had a lake view with the ferries calling at the hotel. Very quiet as virtually no traffic. Many restaurants nearby but the best restaurant for value and quality food was a Trattorria opposite the local deli. Good centre for travel as bus stop 2 mins away, easy to get to Verona for 6 euros return and trips to Venice can be booked by the hotel or DIY by bus and train. Plenty of pleasant walks along lakeside and ferry boats well worth taking. An all day ticket can be purchased. Hotel easily accessible for elderly and disabled.

A very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Eden. Its location in Sirmione is perfect. Handy for everything... restaurants, local bus and boats on the lake. All the staff we encountered from front desk to those making the beds was very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was always fresh looking and therefore nice. Lovely coffee also. Bed linen/towels changed daily. Would stay again. Lovely hotel in lovely resort.

More 3* than 4*. Bedroom a bit smallish & dated, could do with a revamp but bathroom was good size & bright. Rest of the hotel is good. Good friendly service from the staff. Good selection cold buffet breakfast. Our room faced another hotel but many rooms overlook lake & public square (so worth asking for a room with a view). Excellent location by lake & restaurants & bars on your door step. Difficult to drive & park here. Lake boats stop next to hotel. Bus stop for Verona not far away.

Though it lacks a pool, Hotel Eden has everything else you need for a perfect vacation on Lake Garda. Its location, right inside the castle walls, is exceptionally convenient for shopping, sightseeing, or taking ferry boats, and is an easy walk from the bus stop. (Cars have restricted access inside the area; you’ll have to make special arrangements to drive in.) Our room was clean and nicely decorated, and amazingly quiet given that it looked out over the main square. The excellent breakfast included eggs, meats, yogurt and fresh fruit – and you can eat it outside on a terrace overlooking the lake. The beaches in Sirmione are not very good – in fact there is no sand at all, and precious little shade – so you may want a hotel with a pool. But most of those are farther afield, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great Classy Hotel. Very cordial staff. Gorgeous views of Lake Garda, lovely patio on the lake makes for a beautiful breakfast spot and lounging while reading a book on chaise lounges. Only complaint was the "family room" for three. Avoid it if you can, as it has a small window overlooking a tiny side street and is consequently a bit dark, alleviated by extra lighting they installed.

Nice hotel, and a thank you to the helpful front desk staff. Sirmione is a lovely place which will not disappoint! Could easily imagine spending a week here. Hotel is in a great location, right in the center of town, good breakfast, although rooms are not the most updated the bathrooms are fine and bed comfortable. What they call a "water view" is sometimes stretching it a bit - so check with the desk at check-in. Definitely take a hydrofoil around the lake (loved the northern end) you will not regret it! Malcesine especially picturesque.

The hotel's location could not be better. Situated in the middle of the peninsula and right on the lake, the hotel offers spectacular views and (perhaps more importantly) a quiet oasis from the chaos of Sirmione during the height of the tourist season. The staff were also incredibly friendly and eager to please. The decoration of our room left a little to be desired (every room seems to be a monotone of a different color, aqua-marine in our case), but it was comfortable enough. We are glad we chose this slightly more expensive hotel over others in the area from what we saw. It was a perfect honeymoon spot, and one that I would recommend to anyone traveling to the lake.

This was our first time staying at the Hotel Eden and being at Lake Garda. We had the most incredible time here. We did not realize when we booked this hotel that it was located within the walls of the castle...what a great surprise! The lake was beautiful and if we had had the time we would have explored all the small towns around the lake and we would have made Hotel Eden our base. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a garage for the car, which you are charged 10 extra euros a day to use, however is greatly needed while staying within the confines of the castle. The breakfast indulged us with delicious fruits, breads and cheeses. You could sit inside the very nicely appointed dining room or you could sit outside overlooking the lake. The pictures do not do it justice. We had a room with a view of the lake, and just took a chair and some wine and watched as the sun came down and the light over the lake changed from light to dark...with dots of light from neighboring towns creating shodows of beauty and mystery. The room was a bit small yet because we had a window that opened to the view of the lake it made the room seem larger than it was. Don't miss out and go to this wonderful place when you can. There is a spa in Sirmione inside the walls of the castle. If you want a little down time you can get a massage and have a pampering time while you are there. We did not know of this spa and all was booked when we got there. Enjoy this enchanting place.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Hotel Eden in Sirmione. We decided not to book a regular honeymoon package and to choose the hotel ourselves. I can only say what a wonderful choice the Hotel Eden was. Located a stone's throw from the Scaligeri Castle in Sirmione, the hotel is also a 30 second (true) walk from the ferry port. Also, it's not far from the scenic walk leading around the shoreline to the Grotte di Catullo. The staff ate excellent, very knowledgeable, always friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are brilliantly comfortable and our lake viewing room had French doors so it was almost like a balcony. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent. Totally filled me up. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Even though there is no restaurant on site, it doesn't matter. There are dozens and dozens of places to eat, drink and make merry. This is quite honestly the best holiday we have ever had and I would like to thank all the staff at the Hotel Eden for making it a honeymoon to remember.

We had a very enjoyable stay at his hotel. The staff could not have done more for us - they were first class. The rooms were of a reasonable good size and breakfast was as good as any of the hotels we stayed in. Lunch on the decking was so good we didn't try anywhere else at lunchtime - we just needed to move from the sunlounger to the table! Perhaps the only thing we missed was a swimming pool but residents were able to use the pool at a sister hotel - we just thought the outlook from the decking was so delightlful that we didn't want to move! The location was superb - arrive by boat and within a few steps you are at the hotel, with numerous restaurents nearby for the evening. We would definately recommend this hotel

We loved Sirmione and this was our favorite hotel and location. The hotel is inside the castle walls, the streets are extremely narrow and crowded. We dropped off the luggage and then parked in the area provided by the hotel, which is about a 10 minute walk outside the castle walls. We travelled with four teenagers and the location allowed them to wander around on their own. There were lots a tourists there during the day, but by evening the numbers decreased. There are many good restaurants nearby. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast -- far beyond the norm. There is a large breakfast room, but we ate on the outside terrace. Both rooms overlooked the lake. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Internet access is ONLY with a computer in the lobby area, but can be used without charge.

Accept that staying in Italy is expensive and you're half way there. Sirmione remains a pleasant but very busy place to stay. The Hotel location is close to the Old Fort but don't bother trying to bring a car into the old town. Rooms were pleasant with lovely views of the Lake. Decor could do with an update and when will Italien hostaelries offer hot drink making facilities in bedrooms?!. Staff were really good, pleasant, pleasant, polite and helpful, and yes we would stay there again.

Hotel Eden is ideally situated in Sirmione and the room we had overlooked the lake. The private pontoon on the lake made an excellent place to read, sunbathe or relax with a drink. Car parking is a small issue because of the nature of the town. It is probably best to make contact with the hotel prior to a holiday there to find out what the various options are before you arrive for the first time. We parked up before the "castle" then walked in and made permanent arrangements for the rest of our stay. Unless you have mobility difficulties, I would suggest using the hotel's "outside the castle" parking facilities, simply to avoid having to negotiate the castle entrance and the narrow streets and pedestrians. The staff were always helpful, friendly and polite and could not be faulted in any way. Whether the hotel warrants a 4 star rating is open to question and I feel it may be slightly overpriced. It would have been nice to have had some tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Nevertheless, I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in Sirmione to consider this hotel.

Excellent location (the room had a view of the Garda Lake!) on the lakeside, friendly and skilled staff, spacious and clean rooms. The hotel has a small parking hall close by the hotel, 10 euros/night. Driving to the hotel and garage among the people was interesting, because of the narrow streets in the centre. An exact and detailed driving instruction and map of the location of hotel on the web pages could be recommended! We'll definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in sirmione and pay a bit more!

Hotel entrance difficult to find a small detailed map of location once you cross the drawbridge would be very helpful. Service was excellent, firendly and very helpful staff nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them. I will definstely stay there again. Highly recommend.

The Hotel Eden was very pleasant, situated right in the middle of the old part of Sirmione, next to all the shops and restaurants. Despite this the room was nice and quiet, and we had a lake view. Breakfast was lovely, different fresh fruit every day, and we could sit outside, the only downside being the number of sparrows constantly searching for crumbs, and as a consequence there was some mess from the birds, but the hotel did wipe the chairs down everyday. The deck was a nice place to sit and sunbathe, with loungers and cushions provided. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was large enough, clean and comfortable, if a little dated in it's decor.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This hotel has it. The staff are great and seem to speak any language required of them. Our room overlooked Lake Garda and the historic square, one set of opening double doors for each fantastic view. Breakfast can be taken outside on private decking jutting out into the lake. Perfect! Previous reviews mention the difficulty in driving. This is correct Sirmione is not the place for cars, however we found that they are unnecessary, public buses are frequent and cheap including from Brescia and Verona airports. Anywhere on the lake can be accessed by boat (from right outside the hotel), again cheap and regular. Leave the car at home and sample the superb Italian wine in one of the dozens of Ristorante within two minutes walk of Eden. This was our first trip to Italy, a great advert. We will return

We enjoyed our stay at the Eden, although the hotel is in need of update in the rooms and halls. The bathrooms are modern and spotless. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. Our rooms were cleaned while we were at breakfast, which was very nice. The internet was free...also very nice. Sirmione was VERY crowded, and you need to drive thru crowds and Very narrow streets if you drive. The hotel entrance is not obvious and we had to drive thru crowds 2 times. Very hairaising! Overall a good experience, although the hotel may be a little overpriced for the condition.

Great little hotel, in the most amazing location...hotel has private car park within the walls of the castle for a limited no of guests, so book ahead of arrival to ensure....we went before the Easter break and was just starting to get really busy, but a delight off season. Also, great location for other cities.....Verona, Padova and Garda all within 1-2 hours driving.

Eden offers a good value for money Hotel in a stunning location. Our room overlooking the lake was good, everything that we needed was available, with the possible exception of a bath and Sky Sports:-) The staff were extremely welcoming and our stay was extremely enjoyable.

A very pleasant hotel with staff willing to accomodate all requests, although the Night Porter wasn't too keen to attend the 24 hour bar. The hotel could not be located in a better position for restuarants, bars and the town centre, whereas our friends, making up a large wedding party, staying in various other hotels around Sirmione, all tended to meet within 50 yards of our hotel and subsequently had to walk some distances back to their hotels at the end of each evening.

Very nice hotel inside the castle, near the main piazza. Location is excellent, in the middle of the party ! Nice, big clean and modern room. Located near the lake with a private balcony. Attention – parking is inside the castle – and the hotel has a private parking – very important

After pulling up to the gates of the Castle we were a little hesitant to drive through what seemed a pedestrianised walkway. But we did and were not dissapointed. The hotel is set in the middle of the old town centre and right on the lake. The room we had faced on to the lake with two windows opening onto the decking. It was absolutely superb. Highly Recommended!
