We had a very enjoyable week at the Dogana. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the HB food was very good. You will need a car to get anywhere as the hotel is a few miles out of the main towns.

Except for the fact that the room was cramped and airless, the hotel was very good. The service and treatment were excellent, the restaurant very good, and the building, a beautiful old villa, was lovely.

The food in the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, as it has its own pizza oven, the food was very average and quite pricy. Eating indoors was not very nice and there is nowhere to sit and relax while having a drink from the bar.

Staff and service very good. Pizzeria offered a good choice of meals which were very reasonably priced in pleasant surroundings. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. As we had a room overlooking the main road, the noise levels increased greatly early in the morning. The only disappointment was that the room could do with some updating and the bunk beds, supplied for our nearly teenage children, would not be suitable for younger children as there was no full length guard on the top bunk and no ladder.

We had a great stay at the Dogana Hotel. It was a short drive to the old town of Sirmione and from there we took a boat trip round Lake Garda. The facilities at the hotel were very satisfactory and the staff most helpful. The swimming pool made the holiday for the children. Look forward to going back one day.

We were a family of 4 with one child under 2. We found the accomodations and people were excellent but the room was too small for 4 people.

We were somewhat dissapointed in the Dogana Hotel. Though the grounds of the hotel were beautiful(pool area, breakfast room), the guest rooms were quite small and needed updating. My daughters room airconditioner never worked and the only window she had was a ceiling window that didn't open. They also turned off the airconditioning to my room the morning of departure at 6:00 a.m. Definetely not worth the price.

My only negative comment about the hotel is that the air conditioning is not as good as it could be and it felt a bit sticky at night. The hotel staff were fantastic and the food was very impressive. It's a bus ride from the centre of Sirmione which in the daytime is no problem as the bus goes from opposite the hotel but in the evening the taxis are very expensive if you want to go into Sirmione.

Beautiful and pictoresc hotel, we had a very quite and nice room with a view over the lake, there is a nice swimming pool, elegant rstaurant, breakfast aria and pizzeria. Personel is friendly and helpful, even they do not speak much English. There are busses from the front of the hotel to Verona or Brescia (via Sirmione) almost every hour. Sirmione is in a walking distance (about 1 h)but the lake is 200m behind the hotel. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprized. I had a difficult time selecting a hotel in this location and I am very happy I picked the Dogana. The pictures on the Web don't do it justice. It is a very, very nice establishment for the area. Close to the lake, a nice quiet walk. The receptionist was wonderful, very, very helpful, spoke many languages well. It was a joy to walk in and have her say, we have been waiting for you. The room was perfect for the 4 of us, as you know traveling with 4 is sometimes difficult when it comes to accomodatinos in Europe. We had adjoining rooms that were very comfortable. The restaurant has great food and the breakfast buffet is awesome. I loved the area and can't wait to go back.

Very friendly staff and good restaurant but our room was rather basic and needed a makeover.Also it was not very warm but staff turned on the heating when we asked them to.

The place is very nice and the people are very welcoming - You feel in a family hotel. I would warmly recommend this hotel. The Pizeria at the hotel is very good.

Very friendly Hotel. Good value pizzeria offering a wide variety of food. Enough English spoken to get by and great fun learning Italian with the waiters. Well placed to visit the magnifico scenery.

We were very disappointed with the room we were allocated.The window was so high that we could not see out of it, unlike the photograph on the web site which had a patio door. The decor was poor with discoloured wallpaper in places and no pictures.

the resturant of the hotel was very good! the room was in a very bad condition the furniture were old especially the bed and the air-condition did not work most of the time. we expect from 3 stars hotel beter rooms.
