The location was excellent. There were restaurants very nearby that we walked to and it was a very quick drive to the old town center. We drove all around Lake Garda, and enjoyed Sirmione as our base. The staff was extremely helpful with advice about the local area and all around Lake Garda. One could hear other noisy guests through the room doors, but it was quiet early in the morning and late at night. The public areas were minimal, but the small dining room had huge windows to let in the morning light, which was very nice. One of our twin beds (we had two triple rooms) wasn't made up (sheets & pillow) and we didn't notice until the staff had left for the evening (11pm). They rectified the situation the next morning along with an apology. We drove a big van and had a little bit of trouble parking in the parking lot, but managed (a problem all over Italy). There was no elevator to the upper floor in which to bring up luggage. This seemed to be a well cared for and well loved property. Overall, a peaceful feel to the place in a great location.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Got a small but confortable room for all of us, with an exit to the back garden and air conditioning. This a Boutique Hotel. Breakfast was excellent. People nice and polite. Location extraordinaire just a few meters from the shore where you can rent a boat and a couple of restaurants and a 5 min. drive from the old city of Sirmione.

Hotel Clodia is absolutely charming. Spacious, comfortable, very elegantly decorated room. Parking space next to an entrance. Friendly welcome from staff, everybody spoke English. Location is beautiful - quiet, nice garden, lake view, walking distance from amazing historical center of Sirmione. Nice rich breakfast. Relaxing, family-style atmosphere. Excellent quality for a reasonable price!

We got off the bus one stop too early and ended up walking a long way to hotel. The hotel was at the end of a quiet residential street, and we were lucky a man from a neighbouring house were able to give us directions. Turned out the hotel turn off was actually quite near the bus stop, and if you read the map correctly. But once arrived, the hotel was all we hoped for. Our room was on the ground floor which had a door that opened right into the backyard. Breakfast was set in the sun room, but you can also choose the tables that's outside. Overall, a very nice hotel and would recommend this hotel for visitors.

We stayed in Colombare for 5 days, and really enjoyed our time at the Hotel Clodia. We attended a Harley-Davidson Rally nearby and we were so pleased that we had booked at the hotel because of it's proximity to the site, and also because the hotel and staff were excellent.

I loved this hotel - lovely furnished, friendly staff, pleasant surroundings. It is a bit of a walk from Sirmione, but that wouldn't stop me staying here again in the future. Our bathroom was very small, but again it didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

This is a great hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions about things to do in the area, car hire, and advised us about local markets and good restaurants. The room was spotless. The breakfast was plenty. It was mostly young couples, although there were a couple of family groups. The location of the hotel is nearer to Colombare than Sirmione, which was handy for the supermarket and car hire, but the hotel had bikes and we could cycle to Sirmione when we liked. There was a local beach area across the road where we hired sun beds. We stayed for 10 nights and were made to feel at home. The hotel is not as close to the lake as I imagined, a few hundred meters perhaps to either side of the peninsular. At the end of the stay they gave us a bottle of wine as a thank you. A very good hotel to be based to explore this area of Lake Garda.

Lovely hotel. Welcoming and helpful owners. Beautifully decorated room - actually nicer than the web page photographs show. Comfortable beds. Good location : quiet but also convenient for the local beach, local restaurants or a walk to Sirmione. The only downside: there could be more storage space. All in all a very pleasant hotel.

We were very happy with the Hotel, which is clean and spacious. The location is off the main street, and so there is virtually no traffic noise. There is some building work going on around the hotel (May 2008) which I guess will take a few months to complete, BUT this was not overly close nor loud, and did not disturb us in the morning with the balcony doors open. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room NOT facing this ! Breakfast was at a sensible hour, and also had a very wide selection, certainly had all I needed to avoid having lunch ! Heartily recommend the hotel.

Very nice place with friendly and cool owners. Apple Notebooks and WLAN meet 19th century interiors and furniture. They have a 50 year old FAEMA coffe-machine looking like a spaceship, which makes excellent coffee. My full name is: Ilan Braschinsky, Israel (not as written). Very nice place. Wonderful location. If you are short of time, take a bus (about 1 Euro), to the caste location, or you have to park you car on hourly bases payment near the castle. By feet it takes about 20-25 minutes. The hotel is excellent, very recommended + the buffet breakfast is very good (included in the room price), was a good surprise for us. Very recommended to book the place couple of months ahead!!! Probably no more place in this summer 2008, till September!!!

Excellent! Was looking for a cheap, clean place to stay as a base to travel the area and this lovely little 3-star did the job. Really close to some lovely restaurants, and not a far walk to Sirmione - a tourist hub from which we travelled around the lake, and took a quick bus to Verona for the afternoon. Staff were WONDERFUL, tried very hard and were very welcoming. Can't be any more enthusiastic about this place!

Cute little B&B, our room was adequately clean, bed was comfortable. Hotel Surroundings are quiet, and the breakfast was nice- Eggs, Toast, Sausages, Yogurt, Cereals, Coffee, Milk and Juices. Hotel is conveniently located a walking distance from Sirmione Old City (less than 2 KM and traffic isn’t allowed in the Old city, which is quite a task to navigate through by car). Also Hotel is located nearby to a few restaurants, one of which we tried and enjoyed immensely- Malibu (Pizzeria/Restaurant).

Very pleasant hotel in good, quiet position, with excellent views. Room was spacious with shower (only a curtain, not screen)room. Very clean. Not enough hangers as usual. Not much English spoken, but staff and owners were very nice and helped as much as they could. Receptionist competently mended out shower! Breakfast was usual continental, but tea was not English! Take your own tea bags. Would definitely recommend it as value for money. Very close to excellent bus service and 20/30 minute walk to Sirmione. Situated near the centre, but not close enough to be too busy and noisy. Restaurant opposite (pizzeria) is excellent with good prices.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clodia. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Clodia is well placed to visit local areas. It was our first visit to Lake Garda, but would highly recommend Sermione as an ideal base. We stayed for the weekend, and saw as much as we could, but plan to return as there is much more in this pretty area to see, and do.

The Clodia hotel is about a 30 minute walk from Sirmione but there are buses if required. We called at a local hotel for a street map on arrival by boat and had no trouble finding it. The hotel is in a quite area, very pretty and clean. Our room was not large but adequate for what we wanted. The breakfasts were very good with lovely fresh bread and a nice coffee machine. We found the staff very friendly. All in all, a very pleasent stay.

A quaint place in a lush setting, right off the main street, not far from the lake from either side. Tip: Someone suggested I take mesquito repellent to Lake Garda and it was good I had it because with all the water and green there were mesquitos outside (all over) and a few got in the room. Overall, a wonderful experience and we'd stay there again.

Our room had a balcony the size of our spacious room. A perfect room with a nice view and awesome balcony. Hotel is in a nice location where you can walk to anything you need in this town, including the shuttle boats. You may want to request the balcony, as I think there may have only been a few rooms with it. During my tour around Italy I stayed in 6 hotels located in different regions of the country and varying from 2* to 4*, and among them Clodia was the best one. Perfectly arranged room added a lot of home comfort to our voyage, and the signorina at the reception was more than friendly and helpful. She would always give us precise and detailed answer on any question regarding travelling around the lake itself or the nearby tourist locations like Verona or Venice. Very satisfactory breakfast, no problems with parking, quiet surroundings. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
