Hotel Chiara - Colombare - Sirmione, Sirmione

The hotel was lovely and the manager was v helpful and friendly. The bedding was lovely but we woke up with a few bites?

The Hotel was very nice and the staff were very helpful. The location is about a 5minute walk away from the Lake and there are lots of restaurants in the immediate area. There was also a very good market in the main street on Friday night. The town centre of Sirmione is about a 30-40 minute walk which is quite pleasant as long as the weather isn't too hot, but there is a local bus which runs all day. We had a lovely holiday.

Small, family-run hotel with very friendly atmosphere and staff. Thanks to manager Lorenzo for storing our wine purchases in his private underground garage:-)The hotel is located in a quiet area, but close to shopping possibilities and restaurants. The beds are a little hard, the room facilities are somewhat outdated, and the breakfast is simple, the price/quality ratio is still very good, however. Nice private garden with lovely pool area. We have stayed here twice, and we will come back again, if we get the chance:-)

abbiamo trascorso solo 1 notte al hotel chiara per piacere e siamo rimasti soddisfatti per la gentilezza del proprietario e la camera spaziosa. non ho visto l'ascensore per accedere ai piani superiori, per noi non un problema considerando che avevamo solo una piccola borsa.

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour un hôtel situé à deux pas d'un très beau site touristique. Et surtout excelente qualité de services et d'acceuil. (personel d'acceuil parlant français)

Great and friendly hostess who gave great advice about the opera for which we had tickets. The hotel is clean and in a residential area. Walking to Sirmione Castle, where there are plenty of restaurants, is about 30 min at a leisurely stroll, so this was a lot farther than I was expecting, even after checking the maps. The breakfast is very basic, including some bread, ham and cheese, juice, jams, with an extra charge for cappucino or extra coffees. The walls are extremely thin!! With other guests banging doors that echo in the hallway and a family beside us with a baby crying early in the morning, we really did not rest well here. There are some nearby restaurants and it is about 45 min to Verona on the highway and over one hour on the two-lane road.

First time in Sirmione. I´ll be back!

The best feature of this hotel was that the staff were always in a good mood, friendly helpful and we both tried our best between english, italian and french to cover our conversations! Thank you to them for their efforts.

we were made very welcome by the hotel staff and had the use of a bicycle for the duration of our stay. We stayed in a double room with a balcony. The swimming pool was very well kept.The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was well situated for shops and restaurants. The lake was within easy walking distance of the hotel. We would definately stay here again.

Unfortunately our stay was at the end of the season and the swimming pool was closed down and covered over. However, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The location in regards to Sirmione-2km away- meant a long walk , which we did once, but the best option was the local bus which dropped off at the old town entrance. Much better than taking the car down as parking was expensive at e2.20 per hour. A trip to nearby Borghetto - recommended by the hotel, is a must. A beautiful little place with some wonderful restaurants by the riverside.

employees were professional and extremely helpful.all together a most enjoyable stay. bathroom in the room made life more comfortable.only problem was having to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs. they were willing to do it as well.

Camera e bagno decisamente spaziosi. Unica pecca non ci sono le tapparelle e i sole filtra in modo fastidioso.

This was the first time i have visited this hotel and was very pleased with all aspects of my stay. The staff were very helpful and printed timetables for trains and buses and even weather reports when we were going off for the day. We always had a friendly greeting when we returned.One mistake we made was not taking advantage of the free bike hire until the last day. It was good fun and wished we had done it more often. There are some lovely restaurants nearby and they are not as expensive as the ones in Sirmione old town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted a friendly value for money hotel.

Bonne adresse avec des prestations correctes pour le prix et surtout un personnel compétent et sympathique. Il reste dommage que la piscine reste inexploitable car la presque totalité de la journée à l'ombre !... que l'hôtel fasse un peu "triste et suranné" ... mais surtout que le centre piétonnier de Sirmione soit si loin et nécessite soit de prendre la voiture (mais il faut prévoir 20 €/jour de parking obligatoire) soit de prendre les transports en commun (mais ils s'arrêtent le soir!)... restent le taxi (mais hors de prix : 50/60 €) ou la marche à pieds (3/4 heure à 1 heure)!

We stayed at Hotel Chiara for the 3rd year and we are still happy.

Lovely hotel, friendly service and beautiful surroundings. Short walk to plenty of bars and restaurants, or about 40 mins into the main town. Air-con is super chilled so don't turn it all the way up to begin with like we did or you will turn into an ice cube!

We were very pleased with our stay at Chiara. We would highly recommend it to our friends and family.

We found that our room at the hotel Chiara was very noisy and we were woken during the night by other guests. The breakfast was limited. However, the hotel is well placed and having the swimming pool was a bonus.

A beautiful location and very welcoming staff. The room had a balcony over looking the lake, very special. The only downside was the bland quality of the breakfast, some inspiration is needed in this area, quickly!Otherwise, excellent.

This hotel is placed in an excellent position to visit the old part of Sirmione with its excellent restaurants. The people are very friendly and helpful. A place to recommend.

very nice hotel for the price: not 'posh', but with all the basics, very clean and the bonus of swimming pool. Away from the main road, but only a couple of minutes to the local amenities. Definetely recomend this hotel if you don't have a big budget but still expect quality.

The hotel was pretty much what i expected. however it is not 500 yards from a nice bit of the lake as indicated on the website. all the beeches at Lake Garda were a little dissapointing but there is a nice bit of grass on the way from the hotel to Sirmione that has steps in to the lake and windsurfing/boat hire etc. take your own towels as the hotel don't allow you to take them out for the day - i found this really petty and it put a bit of a downer on my stay.

Our stay of 3 nights at the Hotel Chiara was excellent. The rooms and all public areas of the hotel were exceptionally clean and the staff were extremely helpful. We would not hestitate to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relatively cheap hotel in this area of Lake Garda.

Excellent value although the quadruple room should have stated that it had bunk beds. These were not really ideal for the ages of my children.
