This is a really lovely traditional hotel. Its location is perfect. It's right inside the old city ,just a few minutes walk from everything but, it is surrounded by pine trees on the road which heads out of the main area of shops and restaurants so it feels like a far more secluded resort hotel. It feels as if it is run with real pride. The staff are smart, efficient, helpful and go the extra mile to pre-empt anything you might need. I never had to ask for anything because someone always arrived with it from lounger cushions for the beds by the pool to ferry times. The pool is a good size and sits on terraces to the side of the hotel, surrounded by trees and gardens and with views of the lake. A real bonus! My room had a nice balcony and was clean and comfortable though, as a traditional single room, was not huge. The only down side is that the balcony doors/windows are metal framed and single layer of glass and whenever anyone opens or closes them on your floor, the whole lot rattle. This can be disturbing but if that is the only complaint, I would not think twice about staying at this lovely hotel which is genuinely run to ensure their guests have a perfect break.

We stayed 3 nights in a family room. Very old fashioned hotel, old furniture, deserves surely not 4 stars ! Shower was leaking in the bathroom, lot of water on the floor :-( Swimming pool was also old and not heated. Staff was ok. Price/quality ratio was just satisfying and I surely won't stay there another time or in another hotel inside the town (even with a Fiat 500 it's very difficult to drive through the small and crowdy streets)! This aside, it was nevertheless a pleasant stay but we preferred Desenzano.

The hotel and the personnel are fine . The location is very convenient , the swimming pool is good and it is not necessary to "struggle" for plank beds. Linen change every other day, there is laundry service. The breakfast is tasty. The personnel - wonderful, kind people-very big for them GRACIA:))) Easy approach in the Internet. In general I recommend this city for rest-very the picturesque. Unique inconvenience (if you haven't a car) - from railway station Desenzano, it is possible to reach all trips by bus from autostation only to Verona . I recommend this hotel - won't regret:))

Right in the middle of Sirmione, great location. Fine swimming pool, good service, good breakfast, free parking. One min: had a room facing the street, as of 5 a.m. lots of noise from all delivery/garbage guys.

We were pleased to stay there. The only unpleasant was the noise of the roll-shutters every morning

I had a single room which was a bit on the small side. Both the fridge and the hairdryer did not work. The fridge would have been handy as it was approx 40degrees for the duration of my stay. Overall enjoyed the stay, the location was good and I would recommend it as good value.

I stayed for five nights in a single room (room 20) which was a generous size with a large balcony and a single bed. The air conditioning was excellent and the room was very comfortable. The hotel has free wifi which was just within range in my room and there is a public desktop computer at reception. There is a large clean swimming pool. I was able to park my motorbike within the hotel grounds so did not need to use the underground parking. The continental breakfast was good with an excellent fresh fruit salad provided. This is an old-fashioned quality hotel. Its a good point to pick up boat trips around the lake. One day I visited Venice by train which is 1.5 hours away.

I spent two nights in Sirmione. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful, hotel location is central but commom areas and rooms do need a total refurbishing. Hotel does not deserve 4 stars rating and the relative costs.

In general the hotel was nice and the staff were helpful and friendly. However, the photograph of the rooms on the website and the actual room were very different. Our room was very small and would have benefited from some updating. It was quite expensive in comparison to the quality. The pool area was nice.

Outstanding location within the walled city. The staff was excellent and did a great job providing recommendations for things to do. The hotel is centrally located to great restaurants and cafes. Access to the hotel does require you to drive into the city with very small streets that are filled with tourists. People with oversized vehicle might have a hard time navigating the streets.

This was our first trip to the Lago di Garda region. After a long day of missed trains and taxis, we were greeted with welcoming smiles by the evening desk man who later led us down a short walk to a wonderful restaurant, where we were treated royally. The Broglia is full of old world charm while offering all the modern amenities. Most rooms do not command a view of the lake but that was not a problem for us. During the day, multilingual Valentina helped us make plans and navigate aroung the area. The breakfasts were exceptional, with Filipo suavely overseeing all. The only complaint was the family dog...which although very cute, started crying each day around 6 a.m., right under our window. All in all, Hotel Broglia diserves it's 4star rating.

The hotel and our stay was very nice. The welcome and the service was very warm. The only thing that we weren´t prepared was, that you had to drive through really narrow streets with a lot of people to get to the hotel. I would recomend a small car or to drive to and from the hotel early in the morning.

This was our first visit to Sirmione and we found the map did not readily explain how we could reach the hotel. By process of elmination, discovered we had to drive through the castle, after being cleared by a traffic policemen who checked to see that we were expected at the hotel. Interesting short drive through crowded streets. The hotel was on a treelined street with parking in the hotel grounds. Warm welcome including someone to take our bags to our room (same service on departute). Delightful old world atmosphere to the hotel (once used by Hemingway). Excellent breakfast (hot and cold). Everything within a minute or two's walk including the Grotto di Catullo.
