Hotel Posta - Siracusa

The staff seemed inexperienced and unprofessional but nice enough. The room was small and dark and the hotel itself old and unappealing. The price was good for the location...the hotel is close to the water and within easy walking distance to the tourist area downtown. The breakfast room was brighter than the rest of the hotel. There is no parking on site but there is public parking nearby for a reasonable fee, (around $10.00 per night).

The Posta is very conveniently located both to Ortigia and to the mainland city of Siracusa. Covered parking is about a block away. The staff is helpful and suggested sites to see, how to get to them , and a restaurant. Our visit was enjoyable and the hotel served us well.

A really nice hotel steps away from Ortygia. Room (to bach alley) quiet, bathroom with really nice vintage plumbing. Great breakfast buffet (unusual in Italy)...A large public car park is only steps away..staff can give you info.

The hotel was well located and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We had a small balcony and view which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. we only stayed 2 nights but found the hotel very good.

The most welcoming and accommodating staff of our week in Italy. The quaintness and charm of an older building was a welcome relief from the standard modern hotels we encountered elsewhere. Superb location within walking distance of all the sights in Ortygia.

I only stayed one night but would return and stay in the Posta. I enjoyed Syracuse and Ortigia. The intercity buses no longer stop near the hotel, but at the main train station. However, there are free shuttle buses from there to Ortygia that stop right outside the hotel after making a loop round the town, so it's still in a very convenient location. There's a market in the next street which was great and you can easily catch a bus up to the Archeological park, so I definitely think it's better to stay on Ortygia and travel by bus to the other sites as it's nicer. My only criticism of the hotel was that the shower pipe was split and completely broken. As I was checking out and had to hurry to get a bus, I couldnt give them the chance to rectify the problem and reported it only on checking out. However, I got the impression it wasn't a new fault. I was in room 100 which is the nearest to the reception desk and breakfat room. I would ask for a different room next time as you do hear people coming in and out and going up the stairs. Very helpful staff and great breakfast selection.

Hotel molto carino e pulito, personale gentile e disponibile, ottima ubicazione e buona colazione...torneremo sicuramente!

Hotel bien placé dans Syracuse, à l'entrée d l'ile d'Ortigia pour pouvoir s'y promener à pied et à 1/2 heure à pied du parc archéologique et du musée. Grande facilité pour garer la voiture pour 1€ par nuit (gratuit dans la journée) à 100m de là. L'hôtel est bien sans plus chambres un peu petites et salles de bain correcte mais c'est Syracuse! Cependant hôtel à conseiller à Syracuse pour bien profiter de l'ile d'ortigia

We were very happy with this hotel. The rooms are clean and attractive, the breakfast is generous and nicely served, the staff helpful and friendly.For relatively inexpensive hotels on Ortygia, I don't see how you could do better.

It was a nice place with a great location, but it was very expensive and our window and door to the small balcony leaked. The shower is also very tiny. The internet is not free on the computer in the lounge, it is 2 euro per session. I would try to find another hotel that is less expensive but in the same area.

Very nice location. Close to parking, restaurants, shopping and the Greek ruins.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Our room was lovely and very convenient location for visiting all the sights. We would definitely like to visit Siracusa again and stay at the Hotel Posta.

Had twin room with small balcony. Nice room. Bath was compact. Beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room and other public spaces warm and inviting. Location is quiet with short walk to island sites. Laundry just across bridge. Access to bus real plus. Very easy to find - parking very close. Wonderful city to just walk around.

Very charming hotel with "old" Italian style

This hotel has an excellent location and offers good value for money. The rooms are attractively furnished and well-equipped. We found a great fish restaurant a couple of blocks along. It is a bit of a distance away from the historic sites but has a lovely position overlooking the ancient port of Syracusa.Cheap,covered, overnight parking is only 100metres away.

This was a very decent room good for a short stay. It was small and a bit old but perfectlay acceptable. The breakfast was good, the location excellent and the public parking for 1 Euro overnight within a short walk; this might be hard to reach by public transportation. We certainly would return.

Wanted somewhere accessible and central in Siracusa this fitted the bill well,not as noisey as its central location beside the bus station would suggest,would use it again

Syracuse est un des "must" de Sicile et, quand on visite Syracuse, il faut absolument loger sur l'île d'Ortygie et tout visiter à pied. La localisation de l'hôtel Posta est absolument parfaite. L'accès en voiture est très facile, tout près de l'entrée de l'île, avec un immense parking couvert à cent mètres. L'hôtel est dans un beau bâtiment assez vieillot. La chambre et la salle de bains étaient impeccables. Nous bénéficions d'une orientation vers le port, ce qui est sûrement plus calme que vers la rue. La nuit nous n'avons absolument entendu aucun bruit. Le seul point faible de l'hôtel serait pour nous le petit déjeûner, servi dans une salle minuscule donnant sur la cour, et présentant peu de choix et un café raté.

Excelente ubicación del hotel en el centro historico de Siracusa. Excelente trato de los empleados, nos ayudaron en todo lo que necesitamos. Muy amables. Excelente desayuno, el mejor cappucino que he probado en Sicilia y uno de los mejores buffets de desayuno por su fruta variada y fresca, el mercado de abastos estaba a 100 mts del hotel¡ Las habitaciones con buenas vistas. En general recomiendo el hotel a todo el mundo aun cuando el precio es un poco alto, pero su calidad es excelente, pequeñito pero superacogedor. Muy muy recomendable.
