Hotel Domus Mariae - Siracusa

This is a lovely hotel, conviently located in Ortygia. Cinzia is extraordinary - energetic and helpful at all times. If you are going to Siracusa, you must go to Ortygia and stay here! You will not be disappointed.

The first night air condtioning did not work. We were staying in the other building which was not so good as the one described on the hotel web page.

This was our favorite hotel in Sicily. It was perfectly located and beautifully appointed. The best feature was Cynzie (sp?) the funny and gracious receptionist. She carried our luggage. She recommended amazing restaurants and regaled us with charming and witty stories.

- price too high = coffee machine for breakfast, no offer of eggs for breakfast, breakfast room very poor and = use of fitness and swimming pool not included in price

Very good location. Easy to find nearby park space. If doubling the price is not much a trouble, its sister hotel across the street offers more luxury.

The hotel should provide internet in rooms.

Lovely property in perfect location. Directions to property could be better but staff always was polite and for the most part spoke English

Well situated and excelent breakfast; regretably there was not seaview rooms available. We had not been advised tere were two buildings with different features.

Cinzia welcomed us warmly and was very helpful in every way. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a room facing the water which was magnificent, with floor-to-ceiling French doors facing the water and a balcony - the view is unforgettable and the sound of the waves captivating.

The shower box was clogged, we couldn't have more than 4 minutes showers. For the price payed I'd expect also to have a safe in the room. And a public PC to read my emails. Very good location, large room and bathroom.
