Nice hotel, Friendly staff, good location to train station. Ideal as a base to visit both Ortigia and the Greek Archealogical Park.

Everything was fine, nice hotel, nice room. The breakfast was really pour for a 4 star hotel. At least one choice of good ham, and good cheese should be in a breakfast.

Nice rooms is very good located. The personal in charge suggest us perfect things to go!! not a garaje but you can leave the car outside the hotel and they have videocámara to look at it

Hotel dei Coloniali is alone in an industrial area near the commercial port (you need a car to join the downtown) It is necessary to change its localization! Rooms are OK, breakfast is not satisfactory.

Rooms were really pleasant, clean and quiet. The welcoming team is young and always ready to satisfy his customers. The only negative point : the hotel is a bit far from the historical center.

I was happy with the reception, the cleaning lady was consistently leaving the empty water bottles without throwing them away. I forgot my travel jewellery case and a mosquito repellent when I left the room. I called that same day from Athens, at night when I got back to enquire about the travel jewellery case and they said that they had found nothing. I was only travelling with one luggage and stayed nowhere else but in that hotel so it is impossible that I left it anywhere else.I personally packed my suitcase. I was sorry that this spoiled the overall good impression I had of the hotel, although it was a good 25min walk from Piazza Duomo of Ortigia.

The location was good - the street that the Hotel is located on is quite deserted and not very appealing but it is close to the old town 'Ortigia'. Our double bedroom was spacious and very clean, and the mini-bar had drinks at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful but the breakfast could have been better and it would have been most convenient if the hotel had provided us with a map showing where it is located. We arrived from the airport by bus and our taxi driver did not know where this hotel was, he called the hotel and drove us there in the end but charged us 10 euros. Later, we realised that the central bus and train station was only a 5 mns walk from the hotel!

Hotel is on a street near the port. Parking is generally available in front of the hotel and access is good. It is a short walk to Ortigia and not far to drive to the Archeological Park. A business hotel with helpful and friendly staff. We felt safe walking the short distance to and from Ortigia, even during evening hours (a police station is down the block). The street in front of the hotel is heavily travelled at times, primarily in the mornings. A good base for travel to Siracusa and surrounding areas. The street in front of the hotel is not particularly pretty but having easy access to parking and Ortigia are definite benefits. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice and clean hotel, very friendly staff, luxury furniture, everything was fine except the fact that at night there was a noisy kind of refrigeration in a nearby warehouse but in regard of the very good price the hotel was in sum okay.

La publicidad de este hotel no corresponde con la realidad. La situación es malísima. Si abre la ventana huele mal. No tiene ni una silla en la recepción. No tiene cafetería. La sala de desayunos es mini. No tiene 4 estrellas es un justito bed and breakfast

Hotel difficult to find. No signs. Had to call the hotel to get instructions.

We are looking at hotel, close to old Siracusa but with good posibilities to park. We were travelling with a rent car. For that, the situation is OK, only ten minutes walking to the center.

This was the perfect place for us in Siracusa. While the guide books will tell you to stay in the old city (on the island of Ortigia), we were happy that we stayed just over the bridge on the mainland. In fact, we plan to let Rough Guides know that they need to revise their statement that there is only one good place to stay on the mainland in Siracusa. Hotel dei Coloniali is a new, beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It's a short walk (or a very short drive) to Ortigia. Also, we had a car and were able to park right in front of the hotel.

Me he sentido como en casa y tratada con muchisima cordialidad por todo el personal pero en especial por la gerente del establecimiento. Ha sido el mejor hotel en el que me he ospedado en toda la gira que hice por italia
