Grand Hotel Ortigia - Siracusa

Very comfortable hotel, very-well located.

Very nice Hotel with a wonderfull resturant on the roof with an eccelent view on the bay. I recommend this hotel for a tour of the city.

Poor service : 1. no knowledge of internet connections 2. room not made up by 14:00 pm and after reminder again not at 18:00 pm; finally had to be done by stewart 3. on departure no the slightest help with suitcases 4. centrally controlled airconditioning which left the room temperature at a high 25 °C, which is very hot to sleep with - no way of controlling it in the room; not worthy of a "grand hotel" or **** Misrepresentation : the duplex junior suite offered is a ridiculous misfit with a tiny and unpractical one divan room where you have to leave your suitcases and climbe a steep metal staircase to the bed area which is small; so you take a bath and go down to get your clothes and climb up agai to your bedroom etc.; heat travells up and so the centrally controlled aircon is not able to cool the bedroom area; this is a ridiculous ripp-off at Euro 300. Travellors are advised to avoid this room.We refused it.

Very good located in the central and historical Ortigia island also connected by boat to a private beach 1 mile away

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very nice and helpful. The private beach was great! The hotel’s location is also perfect! The only let down was the cleanliness of the room. Could have been better. I recommend the hotel and would definitely go back myself!

Room is a loft style, it is inconvenient for old person to go up [down] the stairs. There are bed and bath upstairs. We couldn't get hot water at first. We had to call front to fix it.
