The hotel overlooks the 19th century fantasy of the Palácio da Pena and the impressive Castelo dos Mouros and is bordered on the other side by the Atlantic Ocean. A unique setting, indeed.

Charming place in spite the bad condition of some installations. Excellent kindness, but some waiters of the restaurant, must be improve the polite. The breakfast is poor, but it doesn't fit with de portuguese hotel industry. Very recommendable.

Leaving aside faults such as a few cracked tiles in the bathroom, some peeling paintwork and rather noisy pipes for the heating system, this is a lovely hotel. The bedroom, public rooms and gardens are beautiful, the breakfast excellent, and the staff friendly and attentive. In view of the faults, the rack rate price of 240 euros seems excessive, but having paid only 125 euros, it was a bargain

Circular - direction Sintra (IC 19) - End of (IC 19) direction Sintra Centro Histórico - Enter Sintra through the Ramalhão Archway-- Ramalhão roundabout turn right -- 100mts further on turn left, direction S.Pedro Sintra /Centro Histórico - 1st right - 1.5 Km until the actual entrance to Sintra, by the Toy Museum (Museu do Brinquedo), where you turn left. Follow the left hand side, until the Largo Dr. Carlos França, where you carry on straight ahead, following directions to Seteais and passing by the Quinta da Regaleira.
Note: From the Toy Museum (Museu do Brinquedo) until Seteais the distance is 1.5Km.
From Estoril
Follow directions to Sintra, passing by the Estoril Autodrome, and carrying on straight ahead until the Ramalhão roundabout. Turn right -- 100mts further on, turn left, in the direction of S.Pedro Sintra /Centro Histórico - 1st right - 1.5 Km until the actual entrance to Sintra, by the Toy Museum (Museu do Brinquedo), where you turn left.
