Very nice hotel with a wonderful garden full of talking parrots! The room was very good, enough space for the lugguage and clothes. The bed is AMAZING: so soft and has a flower smelling. There are many types of cheeses, ham, bread and butter, jams, muesly with milk and yougurts, fruits for the breakfast. Lovely coffee! There is Internet Wi-Fi free, BUT ONLY IN THE HALL, the red is not working in the room!

My husband and I (30-something newlyweds) greatly enjoyed our stay at this B&B. We booked a room and were put in one of the apartments which had PLENTY of space for the two of us (it would have been great for a family). It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a good Portuguese breakfast (bread, meat, cheese, fruit) and the coffee was great. The breakfast room overlooks a yard with many tropical birds, which was great for entertaining us while we ate. The location of this B&B was also perfect for us. It was about a 5-10 minute walk into Sintra-Vila (where the National Palace, many stores and many restaurants are). The two female staff members who were organizing food and cleaning rooms did not speak any English. The man who spoke English was very gruff but helpful.

I joined one night there together with my girl friend. It is a special place and has its charme, but the house needs a renovation.

Room Details
All of the rooms at Quinta das Murtas differ in decoration, size and view. Like the architecture of the time it was made, most of the divisions are on the small side. The owners do their best to keep them cosy and welcoming for all the guests. The apartments are all different. There are only one appartment and one double room in the garden with full from windows.Included/Not Included in the price

From A1 follow all signs for IC19 and 2ª circular in direction to Sintra.
Drive all of the IC19 and go streight untill you reach a roundabout. From here to Quinta das Murtas you'll drive another 2km and 200m.
At the roundabout follow BOTH signs to S. Pedro adrive for 1.5km then pay attention to your right untill you find 'Pensão Residencial de Sintra' written upon a big green gate with lots of little flags on the top. continue streght for another 100meters then turn right in 'Rua Eduardo Van Zeller' drive aother 100 meters or less to find a big pink house in front of you with opened gates at number 4.
