Very nice hotel, good location when you have a car. Bus went to Siena few minutes from the hotel, that was very good. Pool very nice, breakfast good. Staff? Well, I asked the girl in the reception if there were any supermarkeds around, she didn't know, she mean that we had to go into the city. But there was a sign right outside the hotel wich pointer right down to a big supermarked 1 minute by car. And the cleaning staff let the window stand open after cleaning on the hole ground floor wich you could walk right into the rooms from the outside. They fixed that when we told them.

Quite a distance from Siena even though we had a car it's not very easy to get to town. If you take a cab it costs 12 euro. Far from everything.

Must have car to stay here -- don't be fooled otherwise. Very nice setting, but fairly worn property. Small room, high price for value. Staff attitude is mixed, some sullen some very nice. A little hard to find when returning from Siena in the evening.

A bit out of the city, but we had a gps so it was easy enough, plus we wanted to stay outside the city to pay less. Place was fine stay, they make a great coffee to go with breakfast! only real con is that all towels are linen, its like drying yourself with a table cloth. I read this on a previuos review so we had our own towels, plus i am a guy and not so picky so it didn't affect my stay.

Beautiful Hotel with very courteous help. Transprtation was difficult as the city busses have limited hours. We took a cab a couple of times as the walk was up a steep hill and we had luggage. The view and pool surroundings were wonderful as was the breakfast!

Very good overall value. Towels have been changed every day. Breakfast was what I appreciated the most, even if the waitress was not so nice. Ideal for car-travelers, but not the best choice for people without a car. It is (more or less) 600m from train station as stated, but steeply up-hill. Kind of noisy during the night.

The hotel is not easy to find; better maps should be provided in the website. This comment was shared by other guests. It was a nice place, close enough to the downtown and serviced by two bus lines; however, you must make sure about running times. The hotel staff was vert helpful with this. Also, there are taxis that will take you downtiown for about 10 euros

Sangallo Park was good, but not as frienly and weloming as we had seen in when staying there in 2001. The maintenance of the decor was not too good, with the feeling that the place needed a good coat of paint. Having said that, all the facilities (eg in the bathrooms) were clean and functioning

Hotel looks pretty new ... nice staff. Brekfast above average (comparing to other less than 100 euros hotels) ... We didn´t understand that double room had 2 options (single and double occupancy) - as we selected the single occupancy and therefore cheaper option, as I got there with my wife I was charged with a price difference. Not walking distance to Siena city center - good for people traveling by car.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The breakfast was one of the better we had on our entire trip. It was more of a U.S. type hotel than many of the others we stayed at on our trip to Italy. You definitely need a car to enjo Siena and the sorrounding Tuscan area.

If you are driving by car to Sangallo Park Hotel, it's a bit confusing to find the property - road signs are not clearly marked. However, once we found it, it was a great location, on a hill top with pleasant view of Siena. The facility was clean, well maintained, and service was fine. We were there in late May and by then the hotel had turned off the heat and turned on the AC, which was fine except it was a particularly chilly night. We froze in our room because the AC fan ran all night. The breakfast was one of the better buffets we had with a nice selection of protein items (instead of the usual breads) which included cheeses, hard boiled eggs, and salami to go with the rolls. The coffee was really good and came closest to how American's drink coffee versus the smaller cafe americano they serve in Italy. Overall a pleasant experience. The receptionist recommended an excellent restaurant called Fontebecci Pizzeria, a quaint typical Italian eatery. It was about 11:00 when we got there but business was hopping. I would stay at Sangallo Park again.

I am so surprised that this is the best hotel during this honeymoon travel of mine. I have to emphasize the surrouding and scene of restraurant is too beautiful and fantasy. Both my wife and I have recommended Chinese people to try this hotel if they have chance to Siena via Chinese website. Just one weak point should be mentioned, hotel'd better update their map description and index in more detail. In fact, it's hard to approach the hotel following the map provided by venene.

Overall speaking a nice stay in this hotel. But guests should consider whether they want to stay inside the wall (siena downtown). Bus (3 mins walk from hotel) to down is basically running every hour but service stops at 8pm. It's not easy to get a taxi at night (20-30 mins wait) though it takes only Euro 7-9. If you are staying for 1 night (given Siena is a small city), suggest stay in the down to reduce transportation.

We really liked the facility once we found it. It was difficult to locate it by the directions from the website. To visit the Siena we were required to take taxi as we were far from the center of town. There were no nearby restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and I wish I had time to enjoy the lovely pool. The grounds looked lovely and we wished we were staying for more than one night Surprisingly this fine facility did not have a luggage room and we had to stack our party of 6 luggage in an office. The price was excellent as we paid the same or more other places that weren't nearly this nice.

Very conveniently located for trips by car in the Chianti area. No restaurant on the premises, but a good one is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel,"WARANDA" ask the staff for directions. To get into town, use the FREE parking lot at the bottom of the hill, the STADIUM parking, and from there the 15 minutes shortcut to the SIENA center. The staff will tell you were to find the shortcut. Overall, a truly enjoyable stay. By all means, would visit this hotel again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and would recommend it. However, I would say the main consideration about whether or not to stay here is whether or not you mind being within walking distance of the centre. The hotel is some way out of Siena. If you don't have a car (we didn't) the walk to the city centre is about 3km, very hilly and not particularly nice (along busy roads) if you were to walk it. However, if you don't mind taking the bus this was cheap, reasonably frequent (every hour), the bus stop is close to the hotel, and the hotel sells bus tickets at reception. A taxi between the hotel and centre cost us between 7-9 euros. One word of caution - there are taxi ranks in town but we had to wait for over half an hour both times we took a taxi back at night. The buses do not run very late at night. However, it was nice weather and we didn't mind waiting! The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, the bathroom was clean and had a good shower (one of our main considerations!). There is a nice terrace for breakfast, and a nice bar area. The bar prices are also very reasonable. The pool is fantastic - and in my view completely makes up for being slightly out of town! The staff at this hotel were very helpful & welcoming & spoke both English and French (and possibly other languages too!).

We really enjoyed our stay at Sangello Park Hotel. The pool and quiet were welcoming after some hectic, hot days in Rome and Florence. The breakfast was satisfactory, although I would have enjoyed hot eggs as well as cereal and the usual cold cheese and ham. The only real gripes we had were the towels!! They were not terry cloth, but more of a thin, tablecloth like material....quite unusual and the only hotel to offer such a towel our whole stay in Italy. Also, Florence was rather far away....the driving was hectic, fast and confusing....But its proximity to Siena and neighboring Tuscany towns was ideal!! The bed was large(kinf size) and very comfortable, as was the air temperature. The modern decor did not bother us, as we barely were in the hotel except to sleep. A WONDERFUL restaurant was just down the hill....

We found this hotel ideal for our visit to Siena even tho' it was a strong hike back from the centre on one occasion. We had no car but buses regular and reliable and cheap. Breakfast was excellent but for its somewhat distant relationship to old Siena, surprised no in house restaurant. (Would probably be popular) Rooms very good and clean. AS others have said, this is a modern, travellers' hotel with little character but plenty of space, which was welcome after some of the smaller hotels in city centres we had stayed in. We used the local bus to get into and out of Siena, but the last bus back is at 8 pm - so we ate early!

An Italian ‘Travelodge’ and looking a bit shabby in places, but good value for the money. Staff had reasonable English and breakfast was the best we had in Italy. We paid 70 Euros for a double with excellent buffet breakfast : a really good price/quality relationship. The quiet rooms are on the south side. The only negative point is that the hotel is surrounded with huge electricity cables spoiling the landscape.

The hotel is a recommended place for everyone who wants to visit Siena. The breakfast is more than enough. In this hotel you're surrounded with friendly people, staff. If we come back to Siena this is my first choice.

A little bit far from the city but if you have a car and a good map then it is not a problem. Ask the reception for where to park the car for free in Siena.

Ottimo hotel, camere ampie, bagno ok.

For me and my family was a nice staying at the hotel. For us all was good. Is a little bit out of the cultural center but for us, that we went by car was a nice and quite place. Five minutes from the cultural center parking.

Location was difficult to find with directions given. free parking available. room was sparse and not very cozy, but reasonably clean. no hot water in the evening (night staff didn't know what to do) and early morning (day staff said someone was repairing at that moment after my second call). did not stay for entire reservation without penalty. overall, just OK experience.

Un particolare apprezzamento per la colazione a buffet, caratterizzata anche da particolarità non sempre presenti in un buffet (mi riferisco alla torta, al dolcetto particolare). In tutta onestà, complimenti!

The beds were uncomfortable - the 3rd bed in our triple room was a sofa bed that was too short for my son. Hotel location was a short drive from Sienna, do not go wandering off to find the 'restaurant within walking distance of hotel' as you will end up in the middle of what appears to be a 'council estate'. Stick to the excellent trattoria 'Vallerozzi' in via vallerozzi. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

It's really good hotel placed in a picturesque rural place near Siena. May be I'll order it next time as well as recommend it to my friends. Only leaves much to be desired the hotel location indications and posters - there is some problem to find it first time.

Our stay at the Sangallo Park Hotel was as pleasant as it can be at a generic chain hotel. The room was absolutely impeccable, the hotel facilities were in a good condition, and the location of the hotel is convenient given that you have a car. On the contrary to the hotel description, unless you order a taxi, there is absolutely NO way one would be able to get to the center of Siena. Also, one should not expect any hospitality on the part of the staff, and for the price, I recommend that others look into one of the more charming hotels or inns within the city of Siena.

My only comment was the breakfast staff were extremely un helpful and un friendly. It was impossible to get cold milk for our cereal and impossible to get boiling water for our tea!!

We spent three nights in sangallo park hotel. Breakfast was nice with everything we needed with a 16 year old hungry boy. You better do not order coffee, but the capuccino is excellent. During daytime we visited Siena. We had a car so the hotel was a perfect place to stay. The road distance to central Siena is about 5 km and takes about 10 minutes to drive. Access to town was easy at different days and daytimes. We tried the restaurant belonging to the hotel which is situated near "Campo",the central place in historical Siena. Food there turned out to be excellent. The hotel is close to a mainroad. But noise was no problem because of the very good special windows. The pool looked nice, but we had no time to use it.

THE HOTEL WAS NICE. YOU WILL NEED A CAR TO GET AROUND. THE DIRECTIONS TO THE SITE WAS VERY UNCLEAR AND WE GOT LOST. YOU'LL HAVE TO GO TO THE CENTRO FOR THEIR RESTAURANT, WHICH SERVED VERY GOOD FOOD. THEIR PASTA WAS AWESOME! THE POOL WAS NICE, OVERALL WE WOULD GO BACK.

The Hotel was relatively well signposted and is modern, clean and comfortable with a good breakfast range and nice terrace looking out towards Siena. Room quality was fine (a bit lacking on the finishing details but perfectly adequate and clean). Plenty of parking and a small pool available (but looks out on to traffic island - not very busy though). It has no charm or character as such as its new and on the outskirts of Siena but for the money was excellent value and well located for exploring Siena. I would use it again.
