We were pleased with the hotel and it was located across the street from the bus route which took you to the enclosed city. Parking and breakfast was included in the price so that was nice. Rooms were a little small compared to American rooms, but all European hotels seem to have smaller rooms. Clean and very quaint.

A great place to stay for the price. You might pay more, but why? Would recommend to any friend who might visit Siena.

Very clean, kind staff, delicious breakfast. It is necessary to take a bus to get to the main attractions but it is 10-15 minute walk from train station and there is a bus stop nearby. The restaurant beside the hotel is very handy for a late dinner after a day walking around the beautiful Siena.

Small rooms and so so dirty. The whole building smells badly, very humid, noisy and smelly additionaly due to the ventilation of the kitchen of the near by restaurant. We found hair on the shower and on the sheets. Breakfast not eadible. Wrong choice anyway you see it. Just remembering of it makes me sick. The pizza however of the restarant was cheap and very very tasty!

Da prenotare, ma atenti, dopo le 22 non c'e nessuno in albergho, ed è 'terra di nessuno', gente scherzando, correvano per l'albergho, un disastro, la qualità delle persone in quel periodo, il resto buono, molto buono.

Room quite small, but clean & adequate. A bus ride into town centre, bus stop outside hotel, otherwise a long walk. We stayed two nights & would definitely recommend hotel.

Very nice hotel a little bit far from Siena´s center but they provide you bicicles to transport.

The hotel was very nice but too far from town and no city maps were available. Located on a very busy street and not within walking distance to anything.

It was written "no limite time check in"; we phoned we'll arrive after 23.00 because of our dinner in Siena: at 22.00 they phoned us because they said the reception use to close earlier! But everithing else was OK. (2 mature couples )

A really nice hotel just a couple of kilometres from the city

We stayed in room 108. If you check the roof of the restaurant next door out of our window you will see evidence that the restaurant kitchen staff use the roof as an ashtray.

Nice hotel, although unfortunately a bit far from town. Very clean and comfortable, with a decent breakfast. Helpful staff.

Our room was fine, although over looking the main road, and our friend's was dreadful. The window was bricked up and the shower was hose above the toilet, when we had paid for a room with proper separated shower. Long 20 minutes walk to get to the city centre. I don't recommend it at all.

Bathroom was terribly small as arranged (who needs a bidet when you have to sit 1/2 way under the sink to use the toilet?). Hotel is not new; mold in shower, but room was very clean otherwise. Traveling in Tuscany w/2 other couples, we stayed at the VPS for a week. Decent Italian restaurant nearby (recommended by lobby staff) but needed cab to get back as walk was rigourous for 70-year-olds. For variety in eating, you will need to take cabs to and from the Del Campo (5-10 euros one way) which is loaded with good restaurants. Reservations for the best ones help, believe me. Ask the restaurants to get you a cab back from the Del Campo because you will wait a long time at the taxi stand sites (1/2 mile or more from the Del Campo on unlevel terrain); we also waited 1 1/2 hours for a taxi from the RR station to the VPS. RR station staff will be of NO help in arranging for taxis. Best thing to do is to get your restaurant or the VPS staff to arrange taxis for you; then you will get them in a very timely fashion. Lobby staff was great!

This was by far the Best value for money Hotel that we stayed in during out trip. It reminded me of a Motel more than a Hotel though so it wasn't particularly a pretty hotel. Although it was Clean and well-run. The Room we were allocated was spacious and Clean and the Hotel had good facilites although it was outside of the main Town. I would definitley recommend a nearby Restaurant though, that was recommended by the Hotel Receptionist. VERY good Italian food!!

The location was next to a bus stop which took you in to town. I certainly would not call it walking distance. The breakfast was adequate but served in a room with great atmosphere. The staff seemed detached and were far less engaged than at other hotels we stayed at in Italy. Overall, the room was as stated and the price was commensurate with the facilities and amenities available.

We stayed during the Palio so, although the room was a little expensive given its type and location, it did represent good value. It is at least half an hours walk from the Piazza del Campo and the area around it is unispiring suburbia but the hotel is clean and the staff generally competent. They did offer a good range of trips around Tuscany but we were unable to avail of any as we were just there for the Palio so I cannot comment on the quality of these trips.

Bell'hotel, la camera era piccola ma ben arredata, calda e pulita. L'hotel è mezz'ora a piedi dal centro o a 5 minuti di autobus. L'hotel offre il parcheggio privato e una ottima colazione.

Great staff and good price. The bathroom was way too small. Not much to do at the hotel, but that's not what we were there for and the price was good for what you got.

The room was clean and typical for European standards but small for American standards. From the train station there was no hotel shuttle and no taxis at nine pm, so we walked, with our luggage, for 20 minutes up the hill to the hotel. The weather was nice so it was a relatively pleasant walk and the hotel was easy to find; however, the taxi situation should be communicated to the customer. There should be a note in the description that the hotel is also about 15 minutes walk from the city walls.

Of all the hotels we stayed in throughout Italy, this was the nicest. The staff were very friendly, the place was clean and lovely, decent breakfast, and the location was very convenient. The only trouble we had was finding the place.

This is NOT in walking distance from the train station. With the exception of the two older staff members, this team seemed out to separate us from as much of our cash as possible. When we changed the dates, they demanded full payment for dates we were not going to occupy. When we requested a ride to the train station, we were told it was 20 euro (posted at 5 euro in the rooms.) When we got our bill, it was 40 euros over. They've invested in slick marketing materials (videos, print) which promote supplementary activities (wine tours, cooking classes, smart car rentals) and have a very nice facility. Their breakfast buffet is generous. Thier location is close to the highway so it's a convenient spot for folks who are driving. Ther is only one dinner dining option, in walking distance to the hotel. Busses do run regularly into town, but are trickier to get back from town since they depart from various locations in Siena...and I would NOT try driving into the city center.

The best part of the hotel was the service at the front desk and the breakfast. We had to make changes in plans which the person was extremely helpful with. She pulled out maps, checked bus schedules, showed us how to get places and really took time with us. The room and bathroom were small, but we knew that when we came. It was warm so we had to keep the window open, which unfortunately let the noise in. The restaurant next door was good and again very helpful to us. The morning breakfast downstairs was one of our best and the room is decorated beautifully and kept very clean. We took several pictures there because we thought it was so quaint. Travelers should be warned that getting a taxi at the train station is not easy. It took us an hour and a half to get the 5 min. ride. However, from the hotel, taxis are quickly available and not expensive to take you to the city center. Buses to Florence go often and are good. We wish we could have stayed longer and done some of the interesting trips that this hotel can arrange.

Une grosse déception quand à l'acceuil et aux compétences de l'équipe de travail.un manque évident de sérieux.

The website and location map said the hotel was close to the train station, but it was much farther than we thought and at first tried to walk to it, which was impossible. A taxi is necessary to get there from the train station. They were helpful in getting us a half-day tour of the Tuscany area, but the cost was more than our driver said we should have paid. You can bargin for a better tour price, especially if they need to fill a tour.

The staff here were always too busy to help with anything--it took 2 hours to get an extra pillow, we could not pay our bill but had to wait almost an hour because the staff "were busy". This hotel was also so far from the center of town. Had we known that, we never would have booked there. Good room but the lack of any kind of response from staff made it a very mediocre stay.

The hotel is somewhat outside the main historical center of Siena and requires a bus or car to get there. This is not made clear enough in the description.

this hotel was really nice and the staff was excellent, but it was farther from the train station than i expected from what was written on the internet site. to me, close to the station means within easy walking distance, not a bus ride away.

A bit of a mission to get into town from here unless you have a car. Although it's a straight road all the way it's too far to walk and if you don't speak Italian forget it. The breakfast room is very small. This is really a place to stay only and has no surrounding facilites or bars, etc. You need to go into town for that.

Villa Piccola Siena was just what we expected it would be from the description on the web site. The rooms were not large, but being used to the difference between European and American accomodation sizes, we were not unpleasantly surprised. The hotel was very near the town, and had a pleasant outdoor area for taking in the sights. The staff was helpful and nice to deal with.
