Very central situation for visiting the city but quite difficult to reach by car and to find near and sure parking and to climb the stairs with the luggage . So when you are in it's nice

Stay one night at this hotel and the location is near Duomo and Piazza del Campo square around 3-5 mins by walk. The service is good. But the bathroom is small.

It is very difficult to find the hotel which is in the old town and it is not specified that we must enter in the old street from the cathedral near the stadium

The hotel is very conveniently close to the bus station and the historic centre and this is a big plus. The rooms are a bit on the small side with a fair amount of noise from the street below which quietens down late evening. Overall would be hard to beat for location and price, although small the room had all it required for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is in the historical center of Sienna, this is an excellent situation for the visit of the city. There is no breakfast. There is too much noise in the streets, the hotel is near a bar, the municipality clean up the street at 6h15' AM with a noisy karcher vehicle.

We vacationed in Italy for 25 days and stayed at various hotels within Italy. This was the most expensive and worse hotel. The room was clean, however, the "panoramic view" which is advertised consisted of looking at the brick wall of the next building! The room had a queen size bed, 2 very small rod iron and glass tables and 1 plastic chair, no place where to put suitcases. The bathroom had a very small shower with a shower curtain that never reached the floor consequently, after we showered we had more water on the bathroom floor than the Titanic had, we are sure! To get there you had to climb 32 steep steps; hotel was on the third floor; reception desk consisted of a tiny desk with their computer; young gal that was behind the desk had a halter top and a mini, mini skirt on, not professional at all. If you wanted to use their internet service you had to pay 10 euros per hour! The only hotel that did not include breakfast. It was located very close to the main plaza and shops. Scratch this hotel off your list, please, we can't recommend it to anyone, perhaps it can be a hostal for young people, but not at the price they charge.

Noise: on one evening two staff at the desk were talking very late and were very audible. The pigeons were quite noisy at dawn also. Jacopo was very pleasant and helpful. The location was very central for the old city.

The only critism is the bathroom! Every time we showered, the whole bathroom flooded, then smelled afterwards. The location was fantastic! literally on the doorstop of siena's piazza! The room was clean, basic but reasonable for the cost. only other downside was that we had to pay cash, having been instructed we could pay on card when we booked, which meant we had'nt accounted for that in our euro's! overall the location won it for us!

Hotel is run by a very friendly, helpful guy named Jacopo. He actually grew up in that building. Albergo is on the second floor up 32 steps, and not possible to install an elevator. There are also some rooms on third floor, up an interior circular stairway. Because I had a single room, I ended up in the worst and smallest room in the place. It looked out over a very small airshaft, very close to other buildings and windows. Hotel is smoke-free supposedly, but my room smelled like stale cigars. The smells may have been coming in from the window (which I kept closed when AC was running). There was no closet-just a bar for hanging clothes above the small desk near the bed. There was a hook at the end, where I hung un coat, which was longer, but it was near a small, hot reading lamp attached to pole. I kept hitting light with my hand and getting burned slightly! Bathroom had no shower stall -- water just went on floor and down the drain. Luckily, I carry plastic flip-flops with me. There was a shower curtain, at least. There was no hair dryer in room, but I was able to get one from the desk. Breakfast (a pastry and beverage) was available at a friendly caffe around the corner (closed Sunday, however). There was a very welcome water cooler in the small lobby area at the albergo. When Jacopo wasn't there, there were some young women working the desk and they didn't speak English well. Hotel usually has a computer available for internet, but it was broken. That was ok, because they charge 5 euro per hour and a caffe nearby charged only 3 euro per hour! Hotel is at Piazza Independenza, very close to Il Campo and Duomo. It is within walking distance of the bus terminal at Piazza Gramsci near Pza Matteotti. Just go down hill a few shot blocks from there.

Couple and older son. This hotel does not include breakfast, rooms do not have telephone, the bathroom is very small and gets all wet with the shower, no hair dryer and we had to go up 32 high steps. The price is too high for what you receive. The location in the map is of the parking lot not of the hotel. For about 40-50 Euros more we had 3 star pleasant hotels in Rome and Florence with breakfast end lift.

Room was very small and basic but represented good value for money given its location. It was very clean and serviced daily. We expected some kind of view but could only see a brick wall unless we hung out of the window.

This hotel is in a great location in that it is walking distance to the main square which is just as well as you don't want to spend an extended amount of time in the room. It is a clean and tidy room in a good position to enjoy Siena.

With this hotel you are paying for the location, which is as central as you'd ever want to be (under 5 mins to piazza campo). The hotel is nice and clean and very simple. For the price you'd expect breakfast but aside from that little gripe if you want to be right in the heart of Siena and are willing to pay a little extra, this is the hotel for you.

I would like to say that hotel is very close to Torre dell Magia- about 3 min. View from window is also nice. But there was two things that i don't liked. First: we was 3 persons, and my bed was frot of air condition, and all night it was blowing on me. Second: shower. After using in all bathroom is water. Every thing alse is confortable.

The location of this hotel is great - one street away from Il Campo and a short walk to the bus station. A few steps to climb being on the 3rd floor and the bedroom and bathroom were small, but adequate. We were pleased with out stay there.

Was hurt by Hotel staff advise on parking car at paid lot near stadium. Lot was gated and take a ticket (very official). Suffered being towed due to special Mercado taking over lot. No warning from Hotel!! Cost over 150 Euro and half a day of time (Police Station, Taxis, Garage far away). Beware, Beware !!!

Place is very clean and neat. No frills. Location is fantastic! You do have to go about 3 flights of stairs as there is not lift. Room was a bit noisy in the morning as we could hear people walking along the corridors. But nothing major. Would stay again.

Great location. The Venere map is not very helpful when trying to find the hotel. Our stay was spoiled by a group of very loud partying guests - the windows of our room and theirs opened into a central courtyard.

Location excellent - one minute from the Il campo. However, room was very basic, very noisy (everything that happened in the foyer could be heard clearly) and the room was not cleaned during the day. Was poor value for money compared to other rooms in the region that we stayed at. Location was the only positive.

The room here cost us as much as our accommodation in Venezia, Firenze & Roma yet, unlike the others, it did not include breakfast. If it was considerably cheaper, I would say that it is worth staying here as it close to everything but, for what it is, I would say that it is too expensive.

Hotel on 2nd/3rd piano. Stairs could be a bit taxing. Left luggage service great for wandering after checkout. Flat screen TVs and english channels. Two blocks to Siena square and close to Duomo. Take a cab from train station 10 EU. Buses might be a bit confusing and the central district is a lot further than a 20 minute hike!

The rooms were clean and appeared as shown on the website. It's a long climb from the street to the hotel but the location is excellent-only 2 short blocks from the main square! The hotel owner and his night desk woman (sorry we didn't get their names!) were very nice and helpful and the gal gave us a great recommendation on an excellent restaurant! Definitely recommend it to anyone going to Siena and would stay there again next time we visit!

Make no mistake - this room is small! You will trip over yourself or your bed while walking around the room. The bathroom shower and the toilet/sink area is in the same compartment, so unless you are extremely careful, you will get the bathroom completely wet while you shower. The lid to the toilet's water cabinet was also missing, and so there was a slight hint of sewage smell to the bathroom. This all sounds very negative, *but* keep in mind that this is a hotel room literally in the middle of Siena during the Palio, the busiest part of the year in this city. In fact, it was so close to the action that we could open our window into the piazza and see the procession go by right under our noses. For this kind of location, sacrificing a little space is not a big deal. The is also a computer in the lobby area with free internet (until the reception assistant goes home at 11pm, anyway). The person handling reception (Jacobo in the morning and another lady at night) were always very friendly, very helpful, and more proficient in English than most hotels I have seen), so you never have to worry about service here. A word about their double beds: they are not double beds. They are two twin beds put together. This wouldn't be a problem except that because the is so smooth, the beds constantly slip apart, causing you to fall in between and onto the ground! Make sure you ask for a real double bed, if they have any (I'm not sure if they do). Overall, it was a good experience. During the palio, it is a decent place to stay. During the off season however, unless you are on budget I'm sure there are more comfortable accomodations elsewhere in town.
