Hotel Ai Tufi - Siena

Good value for money. Should be appreciated by guest travellling by car and/or whishing to avoid the crowd escpacially during the Palio.

The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was fine, as well. There were only two problems with this property. The first was that the maps were a little confusing as to how to get there by car. Once there, finding Siena was easy, thanks to the staff. The second was that the property is not in walking distance of Siena. We were informed that we could get a taxi for 10 euro one way and that we would need to call for a taxi to return. Fortunately, the driving instructions to town were fine and there was a large parking garage outside the city.

The man at the desk was very unpleasant and not at all helpful. He knew nothing about the Palio (the very large event we had come to Siena for), acted gruff and angry with a late night entry one evening. Overall a very basic hotel. The breakfast was poor quality, with crossaints in plastic bags and some crackers.

In the site was write that the hotel were 1 km from the city and it isn`t true. The indications to arrive there by bus isn´t good enough, we don`t know were we can get the bus at SIENA CENTRALE. The first recepcionist tell us that the computer was working well and when we arrive in the afetrnoom the second one told us that wasn`t working until the day after in the morning.

I appreciated this hotel for the cleanliness, complimentary in-room WiFi, spaciuos parking. It is sufficiently close to the city which could be easily reached by minibus. Although it is not difficult to be found, the web indications could be improved.

Ein Hotel, bei dem man gewisse Abstriche in Kauf nehmen würde, wenn es mitten in einer Stadt liegen würde... Um nach Siena zu gelangen, benötigt man ein Auto, und alles was sich in der unmittelbaren Umgebung befindet ist die Autobahn... Als Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungsfahrten durch die Toskana gibt es wesentlich bessere Unterkünfte in der Umgebung (z.B. Ponte a Napo, San Gimignano!!! - sehr empfehlenswert!!!)

Buona sistemazione con comodo e ampio parcheggio, fuori le mura ma a poche femate di autobus dal centro, peccato che l'ultima corsa serale sia intorno alle 20.00. Buona e abbondante la prima colazione. Unico neo la rumorosità delle camere con le finestre aperte.

Ai Tufi is a clean and comfortable hotel in a very attractive setting about 15 minutes bus ride from Sienna.The reception staff spoke good English and were helpful.There are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but a good breakfast is serve in their breakfast room.Bus services to and from Sienna can be a bit erratic.

I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know. The hosts are very warm and friendly. The breakfast was above our expectation. Distance to the historic center of Siena is minimal. Parking facilities at the hotel are great. A restfull place to stay.

The hotel was too far from the city centre to walk, and walking was impossible anyway because there was no pavement alongside the busy road which led to the centre. Our room was perfectly clean, but it was gloomy and depressing, and worst of all it was very cold indeed and the heating was not working. This hotel is absolutely unsuitable for anyone without a car, and for anyone who wishes to spend any time in the hotel other than while sleeping. Having said that, the staff were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. They had perfect English, and were able and willing to answer any questions we had.

The bathroom was a pretty good size and the internet connection was helpful. The front desk staff provided little assistance in finding a place to eat. The directions and signage for the hotel were inadequate. We were lucky to find the hotel.

Very fine hotel, arranged with a perfect taste. Real pleasure to stay there and we will gladly come back. Only one "but" - although there are no more than 2 km to the centre of Siena, in fact you can not walk, as there is no sidewalk, and it is kind of risky. Provisions need to be taken for expending the bus services to Siena and backwards after 8.00 p.m.

The hotel is very far from town, if You do not have a car, Your lost. Even so parking is expensive and a little away from Centrum. But the hotel was nice.

Hotelsitué un peu en dehors de la cité historique parking spacieux et gratuit; chambre trés confortables et calmes. Petit déjeuner convenable, bon rapport qualité prix.

Out of Sienna old town but very close to motorway exit and suprtmarkets. doesn't have a bar but welcomes you to drink your own (supermarket 300m), good value.

Very nice place, very clean and very nice people. A little difficult to find with the map provided, but worth looking for and staying there. Easy to get to Sienna from there. We would defginetely stay there again

We spent one night in the hotel as part of our spring (April) vacation in Italy. The hotel looks much better than on the pictures in their website. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Provided directions and advices regarding parking arrangements in Siena (within and out of the city walls) The room was clean and the noise from the highway has been well filtered when the windows are closed. Free parking in the hotel courtyard and Internet are another important advantage. The continental breakfast was good, above the average in similar hotels in Italy, and the cappuccino was very good. In general – excellent pricing relatively to services provided by the hotel.

Nice place, close to the city, quiet. Kind people. Very good stay.

I thought the staff was very friendly and helpful.
