I have been in this hotel three times two years ago and I was well impressed about the relationship between price/quality. Then location is really good. But this time all is changed. Rooms are not cleened and also very bad restructured. Entrance is very bad with workers who are working for restructuring. Very bad choose.

It is located on 5 minitute's walk from Laoximen Station on the No.8 subwayline. The station is near to the center of the city, but there are few shops or restaurants around the hotel.

My wife and I stayed in Shanghai for 3 nights and found the hotel well placed to walk to the main areas in the city. The location is in an area undergoing redevelopment. The hotel is mainly set up for Chinese business people and did not have much in the way of tourist information. We however enjoyed our stay there.

Chambres très spacieuses (3 personnes, bien équipées et très bien insonorisées. L'hôtel est situé près de la vieille ville mais non loin des quartiers touristiques. Petit plus : le petit-déjeuner, au choix chinois ou européen, est inclus dans le prix de la chambre. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. A recommander.

Nice hotel, a bit out of the way for anything worth seeing - but easy enough to get a taxi. Nearest subway station is a 20 minute walk. Ordered room service late at night a couple of times. I was then awoken by the hotel at 2am wanting to know why I hadn't returned my plate / left it outside of the room. They then demanded I return it immediately. When i pointed out the time they just said I had to put the plate outside the room immediately. Upon opening the room two staff were waiting for the plate. The next night I ordered some dirnks and one hour later someone knocked on the door asking for the glasses back. When I said we were still using them she just shouted at me that I must return the glasses now! My friend, who spoke Chinese tried to explain, but again the hotel staff just shouted at us to return the glasses!

Its very well located. It is nearby The Bund area, so to most of the important places if you take a taxi is quite cheap and you can always walk around. Nevertheless, around the hotel is not very nice but you get used to that. The business center is terrible! None really helps you here, but at least the breakfast buffet is good value.

Excellent location, located at the old part of the city and near "old street" as well as in a walking distance of Huai Hai Lu. In the surroundig, there is street market selling "antiques" and by evening many stalls selling typical sea foods. Hotel has free internet access. Breakfast is good.
