The staff was very courteous and helpful. They assisted us with train schedules and offered suggestions for dining and exursions. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. Would highly recommend.

We were an English father and daughter travelling to Seville for the first time. Our only very small criticism of our accommodation was that a roller blind was broken in our room and therefore we could only raise the blind on one of the two Velux windows. Other than that the this hotel is to our minds - exceptional. We found Seville a great city to explore on many levels and apart from the poor pound/euro exchange rate found the city excellant value for money and the Sevillianos very friendly and helpful.

Lunches offered by Hotel is both excellent value and great quality (Menu del Dia - EUR 17 per head). Only minor criticism is that our room was slightly too hot. Aircon was not on (quite understandably in Winter), but windows could also not open.

Beautiful hotel, clean, spacious rooms, lovely interior. Staff amazingly friendly, courteous and helpful. Great area of Seville, walking distance to everywhere of interest. Food in the restaurant in the hotel was delicious - the best we had in Seville - although slightly over our budget, we splashed out once! Our first time in Seville. Overall great hotel - if we could afford it, we would definitely return.

Very good sized room, wonderful location, very beautiful restaurant, very nice breakfast included in the price of the hotel. Would stay here again. Seville is not an easy city to drive in, but we found the hotel. The hotel has parking that one can pay for and is very secure. Very close to the Cathedral and many good restaurants.

Great location near cathedral and shops, not far from river. Great walking area. Wonderful welcome, fantastic staff -- one of our favorite stays in Spain. Front desk even printed out driving maps for our next destination, and offered advice on where to eat along the way. Room was a bit small, but gorgeous antiques, and bathroom was good size. We enjoyed dinner -- expensive, but excellent - at the restaurant, too, and loved the public spaces in the hotel.

Our stay at Taberna del Alabardero was most enjoyable. The room was elegant and well cared for during our stay. There is air conditioning and the staff was thoughtful enough to turn it on for us while we were out during the day. The dinner we had was superb and the wine list is extraordinarly well chosen. The hotel is quite centrally located making it easy to stroll about the city and its location made it easy for us to find as we drove into the city from Jerez.

Our stay in La Taberna del Alabardero was indeed a pleasure. I would absolutely recomend the place and would be more than happy to return. Just two points I think need improvement: poor lightening both in the room and in the bathroom (women need good ligth to deal with make-up) and also quite a poor breakfast. When ever there is a celebration downstairs, the rooms become quite noisy and the double door is not always enough. Anyway, I loved the place.

I was rather unwell during our time away, and to stay in such a lovely hotel with staff who could not do enough for us was wonderfull. If we have any complaint at all, it would be that the choice for breakfast was rather limited if you did not appear very early during the meal. The fruit and croisant had always gone! But the staff were totally charming. I have recommended the hotel to several friends already, and would wish to stay there again should we ever be luck enough to return to Seville.

An outstanding boutique hotel with each of the rooms laid out differently. If you want something other than cookie-cutter style hotel rooms, with a warm and charming (without being obsequious) staff, then this is the hotel for you. The restaurant is exceptional, both in terms of atmosphere, quality and presentation of food and service. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff was well trained and responsive to our requests. Very friendly atmosphere. A jewel in the middle of the city.
