The hotel's location was somehow quite difficult to find even with GPS. The surroundings area were great. The Seville cathedral and the Alcazar can be reached withing walking distances. The room is clean despite its small size. The major problem was that the hotel was indeed very noisy. At night, we could hear the loud footsteps of the passerby outside. Also the unbearably noises coming from the room next door. Simply put, we were miserably disturbed. If you wish to stay here, try to have the receptionist placed your room far away from the street.

Great location in Santa Cruz and within walking distance to all the major sights but very easy to get lost in narrow streets. Keep a map handy. Stayed 2 night over Easter holidays. Rates were significantly raised because of Semana Santa. We were on first floor but noise from outside was acceptable. Noise from adjoining room TV was much worse. Price for breakfast was high compared to what was available close by. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Great location.

Excellent place to spend a long weekend, since is located in the historical centre at 5 minutes from the cathedral and 10 minutes from the airport-bus stop. Kind and competent staff, charming location, nice terrace. The only little problem is that the walls between the rooms are thin and you hear other room's noise

The room that was assigned to us was exactly next to the air-conditioned engine. As a consequence, during the night we had to hear a terrible background noise (so: don't accept room number 501 or 502)! When we requested some information for going to Carmona, the staff answered us that we could use the computer and search the net by ourselves.

This hotel is located on a very narrow, charming street in the Barrio De Santa Cruz. Lovely neighborhood very near Alcazar and the Catedral. It had old world charm with modern amenities. The rooms were a bit small, but very nice and clean.

If you want a good night’s sleep, AVOID THIS HOTEL like the plague! Having stayed in several hotels in Europe (of a similar rating / price range and in similar city-centre locations), I can safely say that this is the NOISIEST hotel I have ever encountered (and yes, I did specifically ask for a quiet room when booking several months in advance). Not only can you hear the noise from the street and the racket from the corridor until the wee hours of the morning but, thanks to the paper-thin walls, you can enjoy the conversations of your next-door neighbours, their TV choices, as well as their trips to the toilet during the night (yuk!). If this was our experience in low season (November), I dread to think how loud this place must get in the summer! My friend and I had booked to stay two nights but checked out after just one sleepless night, bleary-eyed and utterly exhausted. Compared to the noise, the absolutely minuscule shower (which leaked and where there was no room to place shower gel, never mind move), the unpleasant bathroom (where the hooks kept falling off the walls), and the lack of a mirror in the room seemed trivial.

Too expensive for the hotel category. Poor breakfast, and too many people in the hotel and in the apartments (the dining room is shared) at that time. Too noisy, inside and outside. Good location. I recommend look for something better.

Terrific location in Barrio Santa Cruz, very clean and comfortable room. We asked for a room with a view and ended up with a private terrace--which we used every one of the four nights we were there (and from which we could, in fact, see the top of the Giralda). Rooftop terrace & bar is also very nice, if we hadn't had our own. Helpful computer w/internet available in the pretty lobby, along with two separate lounge areas.

This place is extremely difficult to find, particularly in the dark. If you are driving, park in the Av. de Menedez Pelayo (even if it looks full, go down the ramp and tell them you are staying at the Murillo). The hotel is in walking distance from there. The area is great however and the bar outside the hotel is fantastic (the best service I had is Spain).

My wife and I were in Seville for 2 days and found this to be the perfect location, since it was bang in the middle of Bario Santacruz area, which we explored at lenght on foot. Very clean rooms, could be a little bigger though. Would definitely recommend to others who want to stay close to the action.

The hotel is in a small street with no car passing; you need to be dropped off or picked up at a close square - be aware of that when carrying luggage. It is close to restaurants, shops, the Parque de Murillo and Real Alcazares, the Cathedral, the University... In other words, it is very well located. Internet connection was poor except at the lobby. Employees were polite, the hotel looked clean and organized. We were given a two bed' room on one stay, which was a dread for two people to sleep on; on the second stay we asked for a couple's bed instead, and we were given a room in the back, facing a wall... I guess there's not much they can do about that, though, the streets in the old part of town can be very narrow. Overall, I've had a good experience, and we'd certainly recommend it!

Had a very difficult time finding the hotel. Never received any info that the hotel was in a pedestrian area. Sevilla is a nightmare to drive in. Once I found the hotel and checked in, it was a very good experience. I would recommend the hotel to anyone but they need to be clear on their information where the hotel is located. Hotel was in a great spot, the service was wonderful and they have a roof top terrance. Common areas are nice and the rooms are nice and basic.

Ideally situated for our 3 night stay in Seville, the hotel was close to the Catherdral and Alcazar as well as numerous Tapas bars / restaurants. A public Car Park "Cano y Cueto" was just five minutes away but we thought expensive at 18 Euros/day and the bays were not the easiest to park in. Hotel Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included in our rate and we thought acceptable for the price we paid. Our room was on the 4th floor at the front of the building and was very clean and adequately sized for 2 people. We enjoyed our stay at the Murillo and would happily stay there again.

Perfect location, in the heart of "barrio Santa Cruz" area. The hotel looks like a 3-star rather than a 2-star. Our room was spacious, quite clean, big and nice bathroom, pleasent view from the window. Not so soundproof how it could be. Problems (just about our room n.301): the water-close drain did not work well and the main door was very difficult to close. Very nice public areas. Located in the narrow alleys of Barrio Santa Cruz, Hotel Murrillo is ideally placed for an exploration of this charming quarter and for visiting the nearby Reales Alcazares. (It is not reachable directly by taxi. Travelers with many bags need to know that they will need to walk several blocks from the nearest drivable spot, but for me that was never a problem.) My room was modest in size but certainly adequate for sleeping. (I do not go abroad to spend time in hotel bedrooms, no matter how luxurious.) The Reception was helpful, friendly and competent and arranged tickets to an excellent Flamenco show, steering me clear of bad tourist fare. The buffet breakfast was generous and had plenty of variety. - Summary: I would definitely stay at Hotel Murrillo again.

The hotel is a bit hard to find, but that adds to the charm of the Barrio Santa Cruz. I was disappointed that a room overlooking the narrow street was not available for us - we were placed in a room that overlooked a light shaft at the back of the building. But it wasn't a problem, really, as we weren't in the room much. Nice terrace on the roof with views of the Cathedral and Giralda. Excellent dinner at Restaurant El Modesto, and interesting tapas at Cerveceria Giralda on Calle Mateos Gago. Tiny room - no safe, no fridge, no drinking water. TV didn't have remote control, so you had to stand on the bed to reach it. But the worst is the noise from outside: even when you close the window, you will hear laughter of people sitting outside under the windows in the little bar or tourists will wake you up early in the morning. Loved the situation of the hotel. We had a great room with a balcony, but it needed a couple of chairs and a table out there to make full use of it. The Hotel cannot call a taxi to pick you up in the nearest square - you will need to walk through the park to the main road. Otherwise it was great and the lady at the breakfast buffet was always smiling.

This hotel is ideally located right in the middle of the Barrio Santa Cruz. There is a good tapas bar just two steps from the door and lots of restaurants/bars in the vicinity. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Seville.

loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. all the noise was internal not from outside. elevator runs all night, if you stay on 4th floor there is a party on the roof each night until 24:00 and you can hear every step or chair being shuffled. when someone closes a room door it is so loud that it sounds like someone is hitting the wood door with a sledgehammer. you can hear it from 2 floors away. If someone was to close a door on your floor in the middle of the night it would without question wake you up. they said they would try to correct these problems after I sent an email.

Breakfast is expensive and of cheap quality. No mineral water, no eggs & bacon. Decor does not make good food ! We had to look for a quiet room because the street had scaffoldings and workers started working at 8am, shouting and making noise. Unfortunately, the first other 3 rooms we tried were a not good either : outside ventilation or other nuisance (strong smell of smoke). The fifth (5 !) room we tried was OK. Big thanks to the hotel receptionists for their gracious help while searching for a correct room : they were friendly, courteous and very helpful. Do not try to go to the hotel by car, it's a hell ride. Park alongside the big avenue nearby and go on foot. The hotel interior is very pretty and the hotel location is ideal.

This was a great little hotel, in a fabulous location - just a short stroll to landmarks like the Alcazar and the Cathedral, and very handy for local restaurants and bars. It's billed as 2 star, but the only 2 star thing about it was the optional breakfast, which was fine, but nothing special. Everything else about the hotel, especially the friendly, helpful (and English speaking) staff, was great. The room was simple, but comfortable and clean, with a good bathroom. There was a little construction going on next door when I was there, but this can't be helped in a central location. Also, because it is on a pedestrian lane, you can't drive up to it, and have to carry luggage from a nearby street. I travel light, and saw this as a perk - no car noise outside! Very charming place, well located and fabulously staffed.

The Hotel Murillo exceeded any of our expectations. It is an extremely beautiful hotel, located in the best position possible for seeing the attractions of Seville. I cannot say enough good things about the Murillo. I would definitely stay there at any time I visit Seville and you should , as well.

We stayed four nights at the Murrilo - found it to be comfortable, in a good location, very good value. The rooms are perhaps a little drab in decoration, but the lobby and roof terrace are great, breakfast was quite good too.

Thank you Murillo! From the desk staff to cleaning staff, everyone was kind, generous and accomodating. This was the perfect hotel for us! The hotel has an incredible roof deck that should be included in the description - it was a wonderful surprise.

Upon arriving after 10pm were not asked if we needed a meal or refreshments which meant we couldn't get dinner after a very long journey from Morocco. Then we were given a twin room instead of a double as reserved. The room was noisy as we could hear other guests on our floor. I could have forgiven these things except that the hotel ignored my email about reporting the theft of a silver bracelet from my hotel room. Very unprofessional.

Very good budget hotel. Clean and attractive surroundings. Good buffet breakfast in spacious dining room for 5 euros. La Esquina bar and restaurant is immeadiately opposite the hotel and serves a delicious paelle de verduras for us vegetarians. If coming into town from the airport by bus the easiest and quickest way to the hotel is to walk behind the Alcazar gardens until you reach the end of the wall and turn left into the Murillo gardens then straight on into Santa Cruz and the hotel appears directly on your right, 10 minutes from the bus stop in Avenida del Cid. Sevilla is great, even better now with the metro line through the centre.Highly recommended.

la camera col letto a baldacchino della foto è la suite unica dell'albergo, tutte le altre camere sono normali, piccoline ma pulite. La hall è molto bella, arredamento antico orientale, colazione abbondante, location centrale.

This is a very nice budget hotel located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Seville. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are comfortable (despite restricted spaciousness) and very clean (these guys are very careful about cleanliness). The hotel has an elevator (something not very common in budget hotels in Europe). The breakfast is very good (I paid 5 euros additional for each breakfast, which is a very good price). Just in front of the hotel you can find a small nice restaurant where you can try some spanish tapas anytime you like, and a 5-minute walk leads you to La Giralda and the center of the historical Seville. In the top floor of the hotel, there is a nice terrace where you have a beautiful view of La Giralda and the cathedral of Seville. In general, I strongly recommend this hotel.
