This hotel is very charming. The location is perfectly central. We had a street (pedastrian) facing room and we could sleep without any problems. The rooms are generous very clean, and serviced properly every day. The staff here are the best we experienced on this 5 month european trip. They were not only very proffessional and curtious, but kind and helpful beyond their "duty". The staff made our stay in surley seville a pleasant experience.

Hotel extremely difficult to find particularly if driving. Street is pedestrianised so no car access even though garage facility is offered. Signs for hotel on nearby streets disappear so unless you have a very detailed map (not available on website) almost impossible. Took us three circuits of downtown Sevilla before we found it. Once there, hotel was fine.

Simply a jewel find in the hart of the city. Within walking distance of the major attractions, the cathedral,Plaza Nueva, Alcazar Gardens, Plaza de Espana and more. Lots of places to eat.Whilst it is located in a central part of the city we found the room to be very quite.

nice hotel near the city centre, it was clean and the staff were helpfull with regards to what to go and see,it was easy walking distance to the main attractions, only complaint the breakfast at the hotel at 17€ per person is expensive when you can walk 50mts to a local cafe and get 2 for 7€ 50c Seville is a wonderfull city certainly worth a visit.

A very good experience. The hotel has an excellent location, in the very heart of Seville and surprisingly quiet, though. Its architecture and decoration are quite typical of andaluz mansions. I would just point out 2 shortcomings : the high price at weekends and the carpets that would need replacing by tiling at least in the bedrooms(much cleaner and healthier)

The hotel is clean comfortable and well placed to visit the wonderful attractions that Seville has to offer. The Cathedral and the Alcazar are only a few minutes away on foot and navigating the narrow streets of the old city is a pleasure in itself. Inevitably we heard is some street noise in the room but this is Spain, people, nothing is said sotto voce! The breakfast seemed expensive but the bars close by serve coffee and Pan Tostada for only a few euros. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

hotel molto carino e centrale, non facilmente raggiungibile con la macchina. parcheggio abbastanza caro. hotel pulito, anche se nella stanza si sentiva un profumo di prodotti chimici che tendevano ad attenuare l'odore di muffa.

First time in seville and could have wanted a better located hotel 5 mins away from the cathedral. Would recommend to anyone coming to Seville and very reasonably priced.

Absolutely wonderful! the hotel is in an old typical Andalucian palace, with patio, in a strategic position: just two minutes walk from the historical centre and 5 minutes from the shopping area. The hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. Very good service and facilities for a 3 stars hotel. The only thing I would change is the carpet in the room: clean but old and worn out. We didn't try the breakfast, as it was a little bit overpriced, but it looked quite nice. Anyway, there are lots of goods bars and coffee shops in the surroundings where to enjoy it, at a very reasonable price. I definetely would come back and I would recommend it to my friends.

Perfect location for both week-end trip and week stay. Tidy and spacious rooms, lovely patio. Employees very service-minded. City centre right around the corner, nearly all top-10 spots of Seville all within max 15 minutes walking distance (that is if you don't get lost in the narrow streets). Safe environment to walk the streets at night. Hotel and location won't disappoint you. Hint fr the morning: take yr Spanish breakfast next door, hint fr the evening: Mateos Gago and El Arenal.

Even with GPS navigation, hotel was hard to find by car, a problem with Seville, not the hotel! Hotel has garage (fee) but well worth the cost for the convenience, book it ahead by phone. Excellent location level 5 min walk to cathedral square, and major tourist destinations. We enjoyed our stay but agree the breakfast is expensive. A bar nearby attracts many people and can be noisy at night, so you may need to have windows closed. Reception staff spoke good english and were always very helpful.

Very nice hotel, in the very center of Seville. The rooms are spatious and clean and the overall hotel building is typically Andalusian inside, with a wonderful patio. The staff is helpful and friendly. I had a pleasant stay (unfortunately too short..) I strongly reccomend it!

comfortable, stylish and very convenient, once there, but if you propose to arrive by car get directions from the hotel because there is only one route in. We breakfasted out in one of many cafes open at that time. Staff very helpful; they parked and retrieved the car for us and we were able to leave the car in the garage until 5 pm even though we checked out at 10 am

The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! They were extremely helpful with any recommendations for excursions in Seville. My only criticism is that it was VERY DIFFICULT to locate! Even with the map you provided. The streets are very narrow. It would have been better to have been directed from the outer streets rather than locating the Catedral and trying to find it from there.

Staff were good & helpfull, hotel was spacious & well appointed, location was terrific. Had a hard time finding the place as the streets were being dug up & lots of one way streets. directions were unhelpfull.

It's a small hotel that is ideally situated which results in short walks to shop and sightsee. The enclosed indoor courtyard was a very nice feature that added ambience. The staff was friendly and highly competent.

The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The price was a little excessive and should have included breakfast. Otherwise it was an ideal hotel to stay in, being in the heart of the city but quiet.

Excellent situation. Andalou patio very smart and pleasant. Bath and room clean and daily cleaned. Breakfast at 14€ expensive too much (no fried egs) Difficulty in the staff to speak french. Any way a good adress able to be recommended. (I staid 4 nights)

Do not use safe deposit box in room which requires a key instead of a combination. It was opened and money was removed during my stay.

Bathroom was nice and room was adequate. The balcony was lovely, but the street noise was continuous all night--not good for light sleepers. We were offered a room with no openable windows or view which probably would have been quieter, so the hotel did try to accomodate us, but we really wanted some natural light in the room. Breakfasts were typical and adequate. Overall we would stay there again. The location was very good for sightseeing.

The hotel's interior is stunning. The covered atrium is remarkable. The 3 star rating belies the quality of this establishment - it really should be upgraded. The location is within easy walking distance of the major sites without being in the city centre. The staff were helpful and spoke very good English. The room we were given was very large and had a balcony. I have already recommended the hotel to friends who are going to stay there next month.

Unfortunately construction was being done on the property across from the hotel so the room was noisy and prices were not reduced to reflect the inconvenience put towards us. Need to invest money in rooms like money has been invested into lobby.

Hotel has an excellent central location making ideal for a short stay when we required easy access to the major attractions. Easy walking distance to lots of good restaurants. Our room was at the front of the hotel which proved to be a little noisy first thing in the morning. WE didn't try the breakfast as there were excellent cafe's at much cheaper rates just around the corner.

Very nice Hotel. Though we had a room to the streetside it was not too loud. Very near to Giralda (we didn't found it first) an near to shopping Area. 5-7 EUR per Taxi from railway station. Train to Jerez (Airport for Ryanair) takes about an hour. 13 EUR Taxi from Airport to Jerez Railway-Statioin. Sevilla is great!!!

Positive: central, few steps from the cathedral (and the Tapas-Bars!), own garage, good breakfast, very spacious room, very nice hall to sit in. Negative: we had cockroaches crawling in our room, room was dark and noisy in the basement, staff at breakfast is very slow => ask for a room in the upper floors, drink some Sherry at night and you´ll be fine!

The hotel is confortable and clean. However, not all room are the same. A small number have a view either on the street or on the patio, whereas many others do not have a view at all.

This hotel was perfect for our visit! The location was wonderful, we could walk to all of the major sites in Santa Cruz including the Seville Cathedral, La Giralda, and Real Alcazar. The rooms are large and very quite at night (our room was off the courtyard on the side of the building). The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Soemthing to keep in mind is that you have to pay for parking (15 euros/day) and there is no restaurant in the hotel. Nevertheless, I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone who would like to be in the center of Seville.

In addition to being in an excellent location, this hotel was very satisfactory. Room service was prompt and courteous, the lobby was beautiful and the staff helpful. My room was on an upper floor not facing the courtyard and was very very quiet. Definitely would stay there again

Posizione molto buona.

This hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing in Seville, with all the major attractions in the centre a short or medium walk away. However the room was a little noisey, and the hotel thinks itself to be grander than it is, and charges accordingly.

Superb central location, so expect noise if located on the front. Excellent value for money. Breakfast good but a bit expensive (13 Euros each). Room and decor was "tired". Staff very friendly and helpful. No power showers, aircon/heating antiquated, but good hairdryer, TV had CNN and BBC World. Not much atmosphere, but a good base for exploring. We were very happy there.

We had a great time at Casa de los Mercaderes, the hotel is beatiful and the service was always ready (24/7). The location is perfect, 2 blocks form the Cathedral and the Juderia area, surrend it by bars and the shopping area. You get what you pay and bit more..fully recomend it!

All in all an excellent little hotel, friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced in view of extremely central location in Seville, very good value for money, only criticism would be that 1st floor rooms which are off the central courtyard can be a bit noisy as all noise seems to echo around the courtyard area. Would definitely stay there again.
