I stayed at the Hotel Corregidor during a recent stay in Seville in November 2011. The hotel itself appeared quite nice - the lobby was lovely and I found the rooms to be very well appointed. As I am a woman travelling alone, I elected to order room service for dinner on each of the two nights of my recent stay. The room service is managed through Telepizza - a local pizza delivery company. I read the brochure and contacted reception as instructed to place my order. The brochure clearly states that someone with little command of Spanish should indicate as such to reception who will ensure that a connection is made to someone at Telepizza who speaks English. The brochure also states that reception at the hotel will clarify the payment. I ordered dinner on both occasions and was not informed of any special payment terms by reception. The food was delivered both nights by deliver men (different) straight to my hotel room, and as such, I paid the delivery men directly as I do when this occurs. On both occasions I paid more than the €13.85 that was due in order to accomodate a tip (and on the second occasion due to lack of change I paid significantly more than this). On both occasions the delivery men accepted my money without issue. Upon checkout I was assessed an extra charge of €13.85 per night for 'room service'. I told reception that I had paid and asked them to call Telepizza to confirm. Needless to say Telepizza had no record of said payment, and as the issue was not clarified by reception as noted in the brochure, I paid the equivalent of €60 (approximately double) for low quality food. This ruined the stay for me and I would advise anyone choosing to stay at Hotel Corregidor to beware of this.

Hard to find, but nice location for the traveler. Tourist sights are a 20-30 min walk away, but down the main shopping streets. Located in the midst of some nice restaurants and tapa bars, just off a plaza with a fantastic tapa bar (Casa Pablo)! Hotel staff very friendly speaking enough english to be helpful.

Very nice hotel, clean and good location. easily walkable to the city center and the major sites. the reception staff were very helpful is suggesting places to eat and shows to watch. expensive breakfast though.preferable to find a cafe around the corner in Hercules plaza.

Very close to the busy shopping & dining area. Hotel is set back from the main street so noise isn't a problem. The courtyard with fountain was very welcoming after a long day around town. The breakfast buffet was delicious and worth the cost. Our shower door didnt cover far enough and water kept spilling out, with obvious previous water damage to the floor. And when someone smoked somewhere else in the building, we could smell it in our room. Overall it was a great stay, but those were the only two complaints, and it was only the smell of smoke the bothered us.

Excellent value for money. Lovely reception area and breakfast area, although we found a local square for breakfast as it was much cheaper. I would not like to have to find the hotel as even the taxi driver had trouble as there were roadworks. The hotel was only a short walk from the main centre but the surrounding streets were not very inspiring. However once inside the hotel, it was spotless and a calm haven from the heat and bustle of Seville.

Excellent stay for younger people who want to explore Sevilla. Circa 10-20 minutes walk to the main tourist attractions. We have not booked breakfast in the hotel but the square behind the hotel offers a large choice of bars for a superb and cheap andalusian breakfast. The hotel has a convention with the garage under the mall "Corte Ingles" (5 minutes walk from hotel) so better leave your car there.

We have visited in May 2011. Reserved a room with a patio. Instead we have received a tiny room, no patio. After we have complained they moved us to a bigger room but still no patio. It was very upsetting experience. They did not even apologized for there mistake (if it was a mistake and not a hotel policy). Stuff in reception is extremely rude. If you don't know Spanish don't even think of staying there. The room was very noisy. The walls are paper thin. You can hear what are people talking about in a next room.

Very nice hotel conveniently located for sightseeing around Seville, and close to bars and shops. The only thing we think the hotel could improve on is perhaps speed of service at reception - perhaps by putting an extra member of staff on at busy times. Other than that, everything was fine.

Hotel is situated about a ten minute walk from the centre. If arriving by taxi (standard charge about 30 euros ) don't let the driver tell you he can't drive to the hotel door;he can! When leaving, airport bus is the best option only 2 euros 40 and goes from in front of Maria Luisa park. Overall a good hotel,well-placed for exploring Seville which is truly a beautiful and fascinating city.Rooms in the hotel are a decent size, comfortable and kept very clean.Breakfast has a varied selection and can be taken on an attractive terrace. We enjoyed our stay , a relaxed and welcoming hotel.

We were in Sevilla for vacation, the location of this hotel was perfect, in a quiet area near the shopping area and the historical center (10min walk, 30-60min if you do shopping along the way!!!), the staff of the hotel was welcoming. I would recommand this hotel.Very good Price/Quality

Extremely good hotel, better than some other 4 stars. Staff were friendly & efficient - booked flamenco show, taxis, gave worthwhile recommendations & suggestions. Foyer, breakfast room, courtyard & bar were all impressive & extremely comfortable. Very close to lovely restaurants in Alameda De Hercules.Guests were very friendly as well!!!! The only downside was we got lost trying to find our way to the underground parking - some very narrow, one way streets.

A good hotel well situated for a city break. Two criticisms: directions for finding hotel by car when coming from Malaga are required - we got very lost. Arrangments for car parking are not too good: guests arriving by car need to be told in advance (a) the price (not cheap at 18€ a day) and (b) the fact that hotel employees will not park the car for you in the hotel's car park which is not on site but about a quarter of a mile away down a one way street! The receptionist told me I had to go the wrong way along the street and "do it quickly before the police come along!" This is not what I wanted to hear after a long drive.

Stayed only the one night in the hotel, had 2 full days sightseeing in Seville. The hotel is very well presented & very clean- the staff are pleasant & welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with more than ample variety. The only negative that we could find was the back entrance coming into the hotel - very narrow streets, which can be expected in Seville, but it was covered in Grafitti & not at all what we expected from a very nice hotel. Also there was no opportunity to purchase a coffee at night before retiring, as the hotel bar closes early- a member of staff did direct us to a cafe round the corner, unfortunately they had gtoped serving coffee- only alcohol![ no hot drink facilities avaiable in the rooms]

Good location, easy to walk into town. Rooms were clean and a good size. Breakfast is not included and is quite expensive (12 euros), however if you do not need to eat there, grab a baguette on one of the local cafes - just as good. Good little hotel with very sevillian feel to it. The taxi had no trouble finding the place as suggested by many other reviews. Nice clean rooms which had plenty of space. Landmarks about a 5-10 min walk if taken on correct streets which can be very tricky in seville as there are many little streets not marked on most maps, but thats not the hotels fault. The service great, friendly staff and great public areas added to the warmth of the hotel.

Hotel has very nice public spaces, unfortunately the room and the bathroom were both very small and there was hardly any natural light, the electric light was insufficent to make up for it. The bathroom was also extremely small. On the positive side there are many bars and an excellent restaraunt nearby. Having said that I have never had a hotel room cleaned so well, or had my belongings so nicely tidied.

Hotel is very good value, breakfast included in price, and lovely to sit in the patio area to eat, or relax in the evening. Difficult to find, our taxi struggled, and by car the streets are very narrow here. A detailed map on the web site from the square would really help! Easy to walk into the city, about 10 mins to the shopping area, and 15 to the Cathedral. We spent most evenings in the Almedia de Hercules sitting outside with good quality Tapas.Staff friendly and helpful, although bar closes at 11pm (people do not start to eat until 10pm in the summer!)

Eccellente in tutto!

Sicuramente ci ritorneremmo.

Overall the Hotel Corregidor was excellent, the staff were very friendly and there were plenty of places to eat and drink nearby with the walk to the cathedral taking about 15 minutes. The breakfast buffet was excellent, although I thought it was included for free in the price of the room (but not sure about that). Our particular room was a little cramped, but extremely clean and quiet, possibly because it was located way down the maze of hallways from the elevator, but ok and nice overall. I was traveling with 2 single girlfriends and a father with 3 small children, so their room actually was much more spacious than ours. The two single beds pushed up next to each other takes a little getting used to, but were good enough for sleeping the one night that we stayed there because we were exhausted from traveling/flying all day long. And the location to restaurants, shops and a walking/park plaza was the best. We really enjoyed our overnight there. And it was great to have wireless internet available too, although for a fairly steep price, but it was worth it.

We stayed in Seville for 3 nights Good Friday to Easter Monday. The hotel is very central and is just a couple of minutes from the main shopping area, which made it easy to find your way back to the hotel (find Plaza Victoria, then Amour de Dios and you are there). As the hotel is in an older building in the city centre there are no views from the room windows. The first room we were shown, on the first floor looked on to an internal brick wall, I asked to change rooms and was given another without any fuss straight away, this was on the second floor overlooking a small alleyway leading to a church. As it was Holy week there were processions all night Friday and Saturday which meant that the city centre was traffic free, even the tram lines were taken down. It was a lovely experience and I would recommend Seville, with its beautiful Cathedral and many churches and parks,to everyone at this time of year.

The hotel location worked out well. It was about 15 minutes from the Cathedral and the walk to was along the afternoon shopping paseo. It was a 10 minute walk to catch the bus to the train station and a 15 minute walk to the bus station to catch the bus to Italica.

The hotel was really good, but located a bit further from the centre than I would have preferred.

If travelling by car a sat.nav is a definite must. The hotel is situated at the bottom of a walkway, the sat.nav takes you to the top of this with nowhere to park. To make life easier enter the street name (Amor de dios) not the hotel address into your sat.nav. it took us 2 hours after arriving to actually find the hotel.

The staff was universally helpful, friendly and accomodating. They helped us solve 2 problems quickly and with kindness. Can't say enough good things about the staff. This hotel is near the Alameda Hercules which is a trendy late night dining and cite, and a very pleasant 15 minute walk to the Cathedral and the Alcazar. Very nice location. This was my 2nd trip to Seville, but hopefully, not my last.

Very nice hotel with very hospitable staff. The only hotel that I found with a family room available on Venere.com for this area. The room was very spacious with a large private terrace. The hotel was very difficult to find with the GPS system because there were many one way streets and there was no parking in the vicinity....so we parked at the first available garage parking and used the GPS on foot...Found the hotel set off from the street. The hotel does have a private parking underground lot located about 100-150 m down a oneway street..the best way to gain access is to break the rules and go the wrong way down the street....(pray for no buses or autos because it is a VERY narrow street).Parking is on a first come...first serve basis.....Once parked we left the car and explored the city on foot. 10-15 min walk to the Cathedral....mainly through a shopping district.

I asked to change the first room we were staying because of a hard filty smell to sewer water. They said that happened in one section of the hotel so we were given another room. More or less the same. The employees were kind people but I won't back again.

Hotel conveniently located only 10 minutes from attractions/shopping areas, and near resturants in the Almeda area. Room was of good size, although wall/ceiling a little thin, very occasionally hearing conversation. Staff efficient, hotel clean, highly recommend the buffet breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when we re-visit Seville.

This was our first visit to Hotel Corregidor and our third to Seville. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend the hotel to others. The staff were very helpfull and obliging. The breakfast which was included in the price of the room was excellent. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the central area of the city but the walk is direct and through well used and well lit streets. A bus service (not used)is available and the new tram (used)though of limited value gives access to more distant parts of the central area. The hotel is well positioned for pedestrian access to other interesting parts of the city away from the central area. The hotel was full when we arrived in the mid-afternoon and there was only one non-smoking room available. We were given the option of changing to a smoking room but chose to stay in the adequate though compact non-smoker. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Seville which in part was due to the excellence of the hotel Corregidor

We had a small room with a tiny bathroom and not a lot of daylight. All in all we appreciated our stay, but we had a bad experience with the cleaning staff. 2 days our room was more or less properly cleaned (not excellent!), but te 3rd day it wasn't cleaned at all. Maybe just a coincidence, but I think because of a lack of respect to the guests. So be aware that your room is being cleaned before 4 pm.

Good location close to major turistic and shopping experiences. Exceptional breakfast(hot buffet) Reception desk helpful. Miguelangel speaks fluent English and provides excellence. The rooms are very small but the bathrooms are normal. Quiet clean. We would go there again without any hesitation.

The hotel boasts a good position for the sightseeing, but it is easy to find only if you own a GPS navigator!! Otherwise it's a nightmare due to the net of small streets (most of them one-way). It is also impossible to park!! We were shamelessly lucky finding place in "Alameda de Hercules", a very big square with Roman columns in the neighbourhood (there is an ice-cream shop named Freskura). The hotel however offers a fee-paying parking. A minus of the hotel is the quietness of the rooms, whose walls seem to be built in tissue-paper, as you hear all the noises of the street but also of the clients carrying their trolleys in the corridors, the doors shutting, voices and the housekeeping staff. There is a receptionist who speaks perfect Italian and is a forge of useful informations and hints. A professionist.

The hotel is very near to the city center, you can reach very easily on feet "Plaza Nueva" and "Campana" zone. The welcoming has been very good and the reception staff can speak many languages. By the way the rooms are quite small and the "room make up" service is not very efficient: our room was never ready befor 4:30 pm, besides it was not very clear.

Excellent hotel. Rooms service and public spaces are very good. Helpful staff. It is really close to Alameida de Ercules that is the heart of younger people night life, nevertheless it is very quite and professional. Every other destination in the city, e.g. the Cahtedral or the Alcazar, can be easily reached is some minutes on foot. I would definitively reccomend this hotel for a leisure travel. Being in the city center it is quit uneasy to reach by car, but not a problem at all with a GPS. The car park for us was not in the hotel but in a public garage 5 minutes away from the hotel, not a problem but this could have been specified better.

Hotel in ottima posizione, e con un bel rapporto qualità-prezzo. L'unico problema è l'insonorizzazione, che è carente, e visto che la via dell'hotel è parecchio trafficata si rischia di dormire con i tappi....

The location of the hotel is not so nice, even if it's 5 min walk from the centrum. We asked to change room because of a bad smell due to the air conditioning, but we discovered that the whole hotel had this problem. At the end I wouldn't go one more time in this hotel.

Great Hotel. The room we had was spacious with a nice size bathroom. The breakfast was great. The location was fine for the price of the room. It was a short walk to the main attractions, but not a problem. Staff was friendly and in general a nice stay.
