A very functional but entirely characterless hotel - clean, efficient and perfectly reasonable at the discounted price we were offered, though it's certainly not worth their full price. It's much more an adequate 3* than what we'd consider a 4* rating. The name is a bit cheeky - it must be about the only hotel in central(ish) Seville where you can't actually see the Giralda! I should have looked at the map provided more carefully before booking.

The hotel would be nice if it counts with three stars but four is excesive for it. It´s clean and their employees are polite. It has no parking and it´s very dificult to find a plece arround. Breakfast is not included and it´s expensive 13,50 without VAT. It a correct city hotel but not a wonderful. By the way... why is the cafeteria menu in Catalan in Seville?

Hemos estado dos dìas. No ha estado mal. La pega es que està justo fuera del cinturòn central. Cada noche para volver tenìamos que recorrernos todo lo andado por la mañana, lo cual también hacìa que recordàramos lo visto.

I booked a room in hotel Catalonia GIralda in Seville because I recieved good recomendations abouit it from my travel agent. Considering he works with tourism and has vast travel experience we didn't question the recommendation. What a mistake! It was the most expensive hotel from my trip and by far the worst of all. its location wasn't really good, not very far away from the toristic spots but definetely not close to them. Me and my daughter could go to the places we wanted to visit on foot, but we neede to walk like 30 minutes to get there. Definetely not well located. The point that really intrigued me was the dissonance between its number of stars and the hotel infrastructure and service. It is rated as a four star hotel (I can read this as high quality, only one star from excellence) but I have no idea what are the criteria of the person or committee that evaluates this. We arrived there carrying two heavy pieces of luggage plus our hand luggage certain that there would be someone like in all other hotels we went to before. To our disappointment, there was no one there to help us even though there was a flight of stairs - and no ramp! At night, after a day exploring Seville, we got back to the hotel, turned the air conditioner on and got settled in our small room. After a while we noticed that the room wasn't cool as it was supposed to be. The other day we commented in the reception about it and the lady told us that the hotel air conditioner only operated in the "heat" mode. we really couldn't believe that in a fout star hotel there was no system to cool the air, especially in a city that is famous for its hot weather and high temperatures in the summer. If that wasn't enough, some people from the staff were really rude to us. First there was some guy from the reception was so mad that he clearly wanted to complain about my inconvenience in asking him for help with the drinks machine that wasn't accepting my coins. My other complaint about th

Not a bad stay, although we requested a double bed and got two singles pushed together. decent location once you know where it is, (very nice touristy shop selling souvenirs nearby called la tapiceria on a street called tintos/tintes, definately worth checking out as its so much cheaper than getting anything closer to the main attractions.) Shame that the lift broke down at least twice with us inside and the bathroom needed some upgrading but otherwise a neat room.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The location was a reasonable walking distance to all of the major sights; however the neighborhood you had to walk through was less desirable. I would still recommend this hotel.

Good hotel once you find it. Now quite in the center of town but not far either. The parking garage is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Otherwise the hotel is good value for a stay in Seville. I would recommend it.

The location at first seemed strange, but we managed to walk around and see everything from there. We have a little 3 year boy and the staff was soooo friendly with him. The restaurant served typical Spanish cuisine, and at a reasonable rate. Nothing compared to French food, but good and friendly. Even though they have internet access, it's 3 euros for ten minutes and at every cyber cafe in town it's just 1 euro an hour. We would certainly go back again, and we loved Seville.

We liked the location so much that we stayed extra in Seville because of it. The second time the room was over the breakfast /dining area so we had the noise of chairs moving on the hard floor from 8am onwards, not so fabulous when you are on holiday. However , overall the place was wonderul for the price and location, staff cery helpful and friendly, as are most spanish people.

Access not very good; a small side road in a big city with no parking and a public car park - down the road(!). Breakfast facilities abysmal, not enough seats/tables for guests. Breakfast staff uncaring and guests queuing! All other 4 star hotels I used on this trip were well up to standard, but Giralda is probably only 2 star
