beautiful hotel, great location and friendly and competent service. Only "complaint" - we had to change rooms as the smoke detector in the first room kept going off. The first room was nicer than the second (quieter, lovely terrace)

We booked 2 double for single occupancy & were given twin. When I queried this with my confirmation I was told that in Spain double was for 2 people & it didnt mean you got a double bed. I pointed out that all 3 categories were mentioned in the Venere website & we may as well have booked singles. I was told they were full. The twin rooms were a bit "scruffy"& I decided to try again in the morning. I got a different receptionist who moved us to 2 singles which had a double bed in each & were far superior to the original rooms.Apart from this poor start, everything else was fine. The little courtyards were lovely & the position for sightseeing bars, restauants & Flamenco show could not have been better. I would stay here again but would book direct & discuss the room as there is a big difference for the same price

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September. To me this seemed like one of the quaintest hotels in the world. The memories of staying there will remain with me forever. The sitting room is particularly lovely, although a little dark perhaps. Every turn in the corridors brings a new surprise and delight. It is well placed in the centre of town, within easy walking distance of the cathedral and alcazar. The gardens are well tended. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The buffet is absolutely amazing and the mirrored breakfast room, is another memorable feature. The bedroom was cool and totally quiet, but once again could do with some better lighting. The beds are comfortable. Only improvements would be to fix the squeal on the buffet toaster, to perhaps have a second computer available for internet connection, and a few more discreet notices in the corridors as it is very easy to get lost! We didn't use the swimming pool or the spa, but heard that the back massages were wonderful. I feel lucky to have got a booking there at short notice. Due to narrow corridors, cobbles and many twists and turns, I don't think it would be particularly suited to someone in a wheelchair, or even someone with walking difficulties. However there is a lift, if you can find it! We felt very safe in this city, but make sure you get hold of a map before your first walk as it very easy to get lost in the narrow city streets.

Beautiful setting, the hotel is full of coutryards and charming nooks and crannies. The rooftop pool is great, and very wecome when it's 43 degrees Celsius! Large room, great factilities. Very central location. One of our favourite hotels on this trip

A beautiful hotel, you should explore all the passageways to get the feel of the old Jewish community. Staff very helpful and a cool and relaxing place to escape from the summer heat. Knowing the summer temperatures we had booked this hotel for its rooftop swimming pool, but unfortunately the heat on the roof was too much for us and the pool closed at 8.00pm just when things were beginning to cool down, but otherwise a wonderful stay. good breakfast and don't miss a boat trip to see the other side of Seville and the beautiful bridges.

Hotel is difficult to find - a GPS is very helpful. Unloading baggage in front of hotel on Plaza Sta. Maria La Blanca blocks traffic & may be rushed. Hotel staff very helpful in this regard; will park car for you about 3 blocks away in secured underground lot. Breakfast choices are extensive. Hotel is as charming as the web site suggests, pool is superb.

The hotel is charming and very well located, very close to the city's main attractions. The rooms although nice (and the bathrooms quite spacious) are very noisy! we could not sleep at night.. we arrived at 4 in the afternoon and our room was still not ready, we waited for almost an hour! Worst, the next day they refused to give us a late check out and the staff was extremely rude. Would Not stay there again.

We stayed in Seville for 3 days/nights. The city is extremely interesting and full of areas and sites to visit. The proximity of the hotel to the cathedral, bullring, opera, river, Triana and a multitude of restaurants and tapas bars is a great plus. We took a suite at the hotel and were distinctly underwhelmed. The room itself was not particularly large and the sitting area was not separate from sleeping quarters and particularly badly lit. The bed was enormous but - because of its height - would have been difficult to access for some. In short this somewhat dingy room was not of the quality one would expect for the price we paid. Service was so-so. We particularly noted sloppy approach in the breakfast room with inordinate delays in the removal of used dishes. On one occasion a great dollop of jam had been dropped on the breakfast room floor - a safety risk in my opinion. I pointed it out to the waiter who did - precisely - nothing. On the other hand, the hotel disposes of delightful public areas including outside courtyards and roof terrace - it is doubtful whether these qualities compensate for sloppiness in other aspects.

I need to make a distinction. The overall hotel is splendid. The restaurant was incredible. The little courtyard adjacent our room very unique and beautiful. What was wrong was the confusing, and in part simply silly design of the "walk" from the lobby to our room. It reminded me of a children's park or Disneyland. Fake sunlight, entire hallways of sharp stones, bathtub fountains, odd lighting. Weird.

We had to move because our first room was very noisy - this was done by the hotel staff with no fuss and in a very professional manner. Cafe/bar 20 metres from the hotel served an excellent breakfast at a fraction of the cost of the hotels. When driving the roads/streets to access the hotel are very narrow - the car park used by the hotel is 100 metres or so away and can be reached off a wide road

Christmas buffet was not a good option. Very expensive considering the quality of the service.Lack of waiters and a lot of indifference concerning the needs of the customers. Similar situation ocurred at the breakfast. The others employees were really good and very helpful.

A very poor impression as to the cleanliness and service of the hotel, when a dirty tray was in front of the elevator of the second floor for 4 consecutive days, after having comlained to the reception desk on two occaions. Up to the day I checked out of the hotel on 26 December, that dirty, used tray with dry, rotting food, had not yet been removed

This hotel consists of several mansions that have been imaginatively joined together. There are wonderful atmospheric courtyards, gardens and fountains throughout the property. Some rooms overlook the inner courtyards, others the streets of the Barrio Santa Cruz. Our room (99) was smallish, quaint and rustic with a 2 sink bathroom, shower and jacuzzi tub. The Hotel is located close to all of the major sights and shopping areas of Seville, and after a couple of days, you'll be able to find your way around the narrow streets of the neighborhood. Instead of the expensive breakfast at the hotel, we opted for the bars across the street for 6 Euro. Highly recommend the reasonably priced walking tours by Conception.

We had a large, comfortable room with a big bathroom. We had some difficulty locating the hotel but there was a staff member outside looking out for new arrivals. It's a large hotel with several courtyards - they give you a map to help find your way around. It was quite noisy whenever the people in the room above used their bathroom (often at 5am...). Breakfast in the hotel is expensive but there is no shortage of coffee shops close to the hotel if you want a good cheap alternative. If you can find your way through the complicated maze of little streets the cathedral and alcazar are only a few minutes walk away.

It was our second time in this Hotel. We were there last year and loved it. THis year, we had a very nice and spacious room. However, it was just in front of the entrance for deliveries and it turned out to be very noisy very early in the morning. But, our biggest deception was the staff. As it was our 10th year wedding anniversary, we wanted it to be special. Knowing that (and that it was our 2nd stay), the staff was not helpful with suggestions for restaurants and it seems we were disturbing them. Very disappointing specially since it is a beautiful hotel, very well located.

A great hotel in a superb location in the Santa Cruz district. I had my doubts about finding it after reading some of the reviews but it is well signposted from the plaza Santa Maria la Blanca (Ask the taxi driver for this location and you can't go wrong). My room was in the centre of the hotel so there was no road noise. I would imagine that there may be some early morning noise in the plaza although the hotel is on a side street. The room was spacious with a great bathroom and whirlpool bath. The only minus point was that the room had obviously been damp at some point and smelled a bit musty. Good knowledgeable staff and no issues checking in and out. I didn't have the hotel breakfast as it seemed pricey although it looked extremely good. I went to the cafes in the plaza outside and had coffee, croissants and orange juice for 4.80 euros. I would stay again.

Moody and historically precicious place. For everyone who loves historical places and history of art. Not so much for people who think to live only in many-stars-hotels of international shape. This hotel reflects in an admirable manner the history of Sevilla and the flair of this wonderful town. Most of the interesting sites of Sevilla can be reache by foot. Using the own car not recommended, car will be plced by the personal in a parking house not far away.

When I checked my reservation a week before my real arrival, they didn't have my reservation, so that I had to Email Venere to see what could be done... not easy when you're already in the foreign country & not sure to have a computer around. It was finaly settled down a few days later, but what a stress ! The place in itself is gorgeous but not recommanded at all for people travelling AS SINGLE. Those rooms are not at all comfortable, old and noisy. I had to change because the 1st room was impossible : you couldn't stand up in most of it and the window (very small) was in one corner of the room, so that you could reach only by going over the bed ! Nice gym.... The last morning i had no hot water for my shower... At last I complained to the main person in charge of the desk and he recognized everything & promised to give me a better room next time I come, and gave me a refund of 10% on my bill.... This is the reason why I wouldn't go back to this hotel by myself although the place is very original, the patio where breakfast is served is gorgeous, although the price is not the one announced, it's 16 € + taxes.

Very comfortable room in unique hotel. Excellent location within walking distance of all main sights. The Alcazar was well worth a visit. Pilates house also interesting.Staff were most friendly. The pool ,while small, was great in the very hot weather although the sun beds filled up very quickly. Really enjoyed the hotel, great ambience. Had the dinner one night; very tasty.Would not be a great hotel for children but otherwise thoroughly recommend it.

Hotel was difficult to find, name of hotel is on one side of a sign only, so if you approach from the other direction, it's easily missed. Hotel was excellent, staff extremely helpful,& honest. I left a pair of earriings behind & they forwarded them on to our next hotel. The one thing that bothered us was,the very poor sound proofing between rooms. Actually We would say there was no sound proofing at all. We could hear toilets being flushed, water in pipes etc. Also other guests walking around their rooms. We stayed for 2 days & we would not have stayed any longer for these reasons only.We went on holidays for rest & relaxation.

We travelled with our two adult children and had two rooms .We had chosen this Hotel for its location and facilities and were not disappointed with either , the rooftop pool was a delight to come back to in the late afternoons . We loved this hotel. It's so charming and the location can't be beat - short walk to all the tourist sites. The only cons we can think of...the beds were very firm and there was a lot of noise coming from the alleyway outside our window on Saturday night (but the hotel can't help that, right?). Otherwise, our stay was perfect and we would stay there again! If you like boutique-style hotels with charm you'll love this place. Oh, and no complaints about breakfast - it was included in the price of our room and everything was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at Las Casas de la Juderia. The hotel, a complex of many houses with underground passages, is lovely and welcoming. The only problem was finding it and getting our small rental car into the passageway, but hotel employees magically appeared to help. Learning to navigate our way to our room though the underground passage was fun. We had one excellent dinner at the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major sites of Seville.

A very Spanish style and unique hotel deserving considerable praise - in all respects. The most charming and unusual hotel we have ever stayed in - - and most fitting for a visit to Seville. Do not look anywhere else! A most helpful desk clerk even acquired seats for us to the Opera on the internet. The buffet breakfact is terrific - - and the colourful and artistic rooms. Parking is a major headache in central Seville, and expensive - the hotel porters were superb in dealing with our car and putting it into a nearby parking garage. Better to arrive without a car. This hotel is a dream - - and a cultutal experience to match romantic Seville.

The hotel is one of the most interesting and attractive in which we have ever stayed. service was very good; breakfasts and dinner excellent. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Las Casas de la Juderia. It is well located to nearby attractions. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and comfortably appointed and the ambiance of the piano bar welcoming. The amount and variety of food at the breakfast buffet kept us going all day! An extremely excellent hotel. Highly recommended. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in Sevilla; the only objection is that breakfast is too expensive although very good. Overall we were very satisfied. However, three unexpected difficulties caused some inconvenience. First, we had a lot of difficulty finding the hotel even though we had a Hertz route planner. The last few yards are along a road so narrow we didn't realise it was a road but, once we'd found it, a porter came to drive our car along to the parking area which, fortunately, we'd booked. Second, one must cross open courtyards to get from the public areas to most rooms - not good when it pours with rain, as it did the first few hours of our stay. Finally, our room was on the ground floor next to a public passage that was very noisy late at night - but then it was Halloween! The hotel is a fascinating mixture of old buildings and (one you've found it!) in a very convenient location for visiting all the popular sights in Seville.

A charming hotel in a great location. However currently undergoing what seemed to us to be major buildings works of which we were not informed and which we recommend guests enquire about as inevitably it means rooms were not so quiet! We also felt that breakfast was overpriced and not as good as cafe at the end of the street.

Becuase I was travelling alone, I was assigned the smalles t room on property (though the bathroom was huge, though it could have used a table so one could put their toiletries). The walls are thin and you cna here whenever someone in teh room above walks (or runs) so bring ear plugs. The front desk service was inconsistent (I didn't receive any welcome map of the hotel, city etc. though I saw someone else did). The map of the hotel is key as it is a maze but fun to explore. The different parts of the hotel are beautiful and great photo opps. The breakfast is worth the 15 euros.

This hotel was very comfortable and enjoyable. As expected, it was very close to all attractions, which in Seville appears to mean in a good location in the Barrio Alto. Walking distance to everywhere and good cafes and restaurants nearby. The only minor thing was the reception staff were lukewarm - efficient but not bending over themselves to help you. The buffet breakfast was magnificent. The building itself was amazing. Not cheap but highly recommended. The piano player in the piano bar every evening is also something not to be missed if you enjoy music.

All the research I'd done on where to stay in Seville gave me very high expectations of this hotel. I was disappointed but it is in a good location and good value for money. The design of the hotel maintains the feeling of the old houses with patios, plazas and fountains throughout. A beautiful place stay with a highly competent staff which served us so well. The main sights are within walking distance as are numerouse cafes, tavernas and restaurents.

We stayed for 2 nights in April. The hotel was wonderful and the staff excellent. Our only issue was that our room seem to have some water damage which made it musty-smelling. But, overall would highly recommend the hotel

Very nice and charming hotel, located at the very near vicinity of the old center. Nevertheless, a little bit far from the shopping area. Service is good. Room was spacious.

One of the most comfortable and enjoyable hotels we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive to our needs and made us very welcome. Excellent restaurant and wonderful location in the heart of this historic city.

Wonderful place. Hotel created from several adjacent houses. Rooms arranged like 'galleried' landings arround open courtyards of various sizes. Each coutyard has tiled floors with an ornamental fountain in the centre. Labyrinthyne, easy to get lost. Restaurant in cellar, accessed by cave-like passage, Breakfast buffet up to usual standards, but no Tortilla Espanol !!! Piano Bar ok, but needs to feel a bit more like a bar. Very central, easy walking distance of most things. Staff friendly and helpful.

We had requested a room with 2 beds. On arrival, it wasn't available but they brought us a cot and changed us to another room the next night. Great location, beautiful rooms.

A couple we were travelling with stayed here. Although hotel is very charming, they felt that their room was in need of some redecoration, and the bathroom needed updating. Also they found it noisy by day due to building work, and at night because of people in the central courtyard.

It would be useful to provide either a detailed map or driving directions to get to the hotel. Otherwise we had a delightful stay. Location is excellent, of course.

Las Casas de la Juderia has great potential but unfortunately for us, it failed to meet expectations. While it identifies itself as a 3-star hotel on the web, and a four-star hotel in Sevilla, it is definitely a cross between the two. It is a very old and charming hotel that lives to its surroundings. The rooms are quaint, comfortable, and very clean. The service is "hit n' miss" -- the reception staff is very friendly, courteous, and helpful while the dinning area & piano staff are overworked, overstaffed, and frustrated. The rooms are so incredibly NOISY that in the two nights of our stay, we were barely able to sleep for a few hours. The neighbor door-slamming was further exacerbated by the construction that was taking place next door and started promptly at 0700 every morning. The hotel was apologetic for the noise, but for our inconvenience, they only offered a 10% discount for the second night only, in spite of them knowing there was a problem the first night.

Great place to stay in Seville, both in terms of location and hotel. Quite expensive in terms of facilities for a three star hotel but unique in terms of character and atmosphere. Most rooms are a set so feels more like a 4 or 5 star hotel and noise level mininum if you ask for a room looking out to the patios.

The hotel has been converted from a number of 18/19th century houses. I did see a lift so other people who need one may neeed to make enquiries about this .The location is very good right in the centre of the old town. The public areas are very well maintained and very attractive including a beautiful galleried courtyard and very comfortable lounge. The dining facilities are however a little disappointing are they are in a basement. The rooms as you would expect vary greatly mine was very good. The staff are helpful, and polite and service very good
