nice place. good location. affordable. no window opening to the outside in my room or in the public area, which was unfortunate. my window opened into a courtyard that was covered, so no fresh air available.

During our 3 weeks trip in France & Spain, Hotel Baco in Seville was our home for 2 sweltering nights (Aug 4 – Aug 6, 2010). We had a double room for 42€/night on the 2nd floor and have chosen this hotel quickly the night before check-in as we needed a place to stay in Seville and the amazing price, good location and other reviews online were quite good. The room rate turned out to be the lowest we have paid throughout our entire trip and our experience proved that we got a great deal in the end. GOOD: The reception service was very good with the staff being extremely personable and attentive. There was one gentleman with a moustache on the first day and he had to be one of the most charming receptionists we’ve ever encountered as he bid us good night in a most dramatic way.The room itself was very spacious and very clean. The bathroom was a bit tighter, but practical nonetheless. The room window opened up in an interior yard shared with some apartment buildings which meant that it was very quiet throughout the day. BAD: The room needs to have the key card inserted in a slot in order to turn the electricity which means that the fridge will turn off when you leave the room. There was an annoying light above the door which would not turn off at all during the night unless I pulled out the key (which we didn’t want to do as we were charging various electronics). The room seemed to be a smoking one given the available ashtray, but I couldn’t smell anything that would bother us during the night. The room was supposed to be a double and we’ve got instead 2 joined single beds, but we didn’t mind after all. PARKING: Driving in the center of Seville is an absolute nightmare even if you have a good map or GPS. The streets are extremely narrow, very easy to miss and if you take the wrong turn, you can easily end up far away from where you started. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Baco for its great value, location and authentic charm!

This was my first time in this hotel, I only looked for a nice comfortable place where to sleep at nights as I was visiting the city, so can't say it was not good enough, though there was a TV and mini fridge inside the room, none of them were ready to use.
