Well located property on a relatively quiet street. Tourist attractions and shopping within easy walking distance. Courteous and very helpful staff.

The Alminar has a great location (within 100 meters of the Cathedral), very clean and quiet rooms (overlooking a pedestrian street), and an extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I could not recommend it more highly.

I was only in Sevilla for a couple days but the staff, including the owner Francisco, was incredibly nice. Francisco speaks great English and was very happy to show us all the best places to go. His restaurant suggestions were on point, and he was very kind and helpful when I became ill at the end of my trip. The room are the perfect size and very smartly decorated. Not to mention that this hotel is literally a two minute walk from the amazing Cathedral of Sevilla. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The location of this hotel is almost enough to recommend it, right near the cathedral, but the wonderful staff makes it delightful. They recommended excellent restaurants and a terrific flamenco show. We really enjoyed the stay.

Can only rave about this hotel. The staff, service and accomodations were excellent. Email queries were responded to immediately and upon arrival we recieved a full orientation of the hotel and surroundings including excellent restaurant and attraction suggestions. The staff made our stay so welcoming and warm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the feel of a smaller boutique hotel with family touch. Excellent location and water, coffee provided at no extra charge. The Alcazar, which was a 2 min walk was excellent. I would recommend the top terrace rooms- what a spectacular site at night- worth the extra few euros!

Room small, as expected, but clean and pleasant as was the bathroom with bath and shower over. Central location very close to the cathedral was perfect - and not noisy. We chose to have breakfast at nearby pavement cafes. Staff could not have been more helpful and gave us some excellent recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants/tapas bars. All in all a great 3 day break.

Room was cold and small. This double room should be labelled and priced as a single room.

The Hotel is just in the center of Seville, in a pedestrian street in the shopping area, close to metrocentro (tram) stop in Plaza Nueva. Is a small hotel with a very friendly staff, the rooms are recently renewed and very clean. Only breakfast (not included) can be improved. Seville is a wonderful town, unfortunately during my stay had rained every days!

The check-in staff was absolutely wonderful. The woman who checked us in gave us a very detailed map of the city with recommendations of sites, bars and restaurants and she even booked us a flamenco show our first evening which was an incredible experience. The room was rather small and we could only get a room on the first floor which was a little noisy but overall it was a great stay!

The hotel is just a few steps away from the church and Alcazar, which is the best location to be situated in. The staff was very personable and eager to please. The breakfast was very reasonable at 6 euros.

Room 13 at The Alminar may be the noisiest room we have ever booked. All street noise and a door that you had to slam to close. The lady at reception assured us that all of their rooms were the same and "you can't find a quiet room near the center of any large European city" We paid 120 Euro fee and left. We walked half a block and got 3 good nights sleep at The Hotel San Francisco in larger quieter room for 56 Euros per night.

The hotel was located on a pedestrian only street right behind the Cathedral. You are centrally located to all attractions and restaurants. The rooms were spacious by European standards. Our only difficulty was in finding the hotel by automobile even with a gps and then parking. I suggest that you park outide the center and taxi in. Some of the views talk about street noise and the cathedral bells- but in January with the windows closed we had no problems woth noise.

Terrible experience in this hotel due to the infestation of flies in room 3.When complained Manager just told us that they weren't mosquitos and won't bite!We must have killed at least 100 on our 1st night and when we woke up to just as many the next morning we decided to leave. We were booked for another night which hotel didn't charge but really they shouldn't have charged us at all as the experience was so bad. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I had a serious problem to deal with while at the Hotel Alminar. The staff could not have been more helpful. The manager spoke perfect English. He lived in the US for a while. The hotel is only a couple of hundred feet from the Cathedral. Overall, it was excellent by any standard. For the price it was amazing.

The hotel was great! The front desk was very helpful. The only issue is the wake-up calls. Either the front desk called too late or not at all. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location and is reasonably priced.

Klein aber fein! Hat Stil. Sehr nett designed. Sehr zentral.

The hotel is in a great location. It is just around the corner from the cathedral and Alcazar. The staff are all very nice, very friendly and knowledgable of everything. This is a three star hotel but they really act like a higher ranked hotel. They even had stamps and mailed my post cards.(Some 4 star hotels do not do that.) The room was very clean and looked exactly like the photos - contemporary and simple.

Maria and Fransisco are amazing -- funny and informative. Great location -- would stay here again for sure. We did have one of the patio rooms on top of the building and would strongly recommend those.

The hotel has a friendly and competent staff. Hotel manager Francisco was delightful to encounter and very informative about both the area and the local culture. Maria and Jose as well as the other employees who worked the desk were always helpful and cheery. My room was clean and tasteful. It's in a great location - a little too great. Always seemed to be lots of loud conversations or arguments late at night in the alley near the hotel's front door. Not the hotel's fault, obviously, but a bit of a nuisance just the same.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. Brilliant location in the centre, yet quiet enough (pedestrian street). The hotel staff is extremely helpful (and fun) and gave us many useful tips - as well as some good laughs! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we preferred the buzz of the nearby bar. We had the best meals at the Taberna del Alabardero hotel school on Calle Zaragoza - lunchtime menu del dia was absolutely the best value for money.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Alminar. the Hotel is located near all of Seville's major attraction, yet still offers a bit of privacy in a noisy part of Seville. The staff was great, I highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom spacious and the bed was comfortable.

I spent 3 nights at Alminar hotel in Feb. 2008. All staff members were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager Fransisco who was generously informative. His tips proved to be very valuable indeed. There is free coffee/tea service in the small but tasteful public area, and the first bottle of water in the minibar is also free. Excellent location and the rooms pleasant and tasteful. I highly recommend this hotel.

This property was excellent in terms of location, value and staff service. I picked it based on feedback that I'd read from travellers who had stayed at the hotel recently and in this case it was bang on. The extra amenities such as beverages and wi-fi access were a nice touch and very welcome.

Primarily tourists, with excellent access to all sites and the core of the city. It is a very small hotel located on a laneway les than a block from the Cathederal.Altough it is located in what appears to be an old building it is all new inside. Space is at a premium but well used. Rooms are tight but well organized with a very stylish bathroom. All items in room worked and staff was very helpful.

The hotel is located in a very noisy area as people use the street coming home from bars until 4AM on week-ends. The street level rooms are VERY noisy, can't sleep. Staff were extremely helpful, but wouldn't stay there again due to noise.

We can deffinitly recommend the Alimar. The staff was very nice and the rooms are small but in great shape. The location is right in the center of Sevilla, which has the downside that you hardly can get there by car. The only negative point that we saw, is that there is a contruction in the house across which was creating some noise. Go there!

I would say that the staff was excellent. Their customer service skills are among the best of any place I have ever stayed. The room was comfortable, but the noise from the street and from other guests was somewhat bothersome. The location was good. I would stay here again.
