Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla Boutique Hotel - Seville

We were at this hotel in Sevilla for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. The front desk is staffed 24 hrs with English/Spanish/French speaking staff. They are very helpful. The hotel only has about 15 rooms and feels much more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, so we were very pleased and felt welcomed. There is a main bus stop literally 200 feet from the hotel front door so it is easy to get wherever you want to go quickly. We got a bus pass and had no problems. There is a lovely outdoor terrace on the 3rd floor with lounge chairs and hot tub to relax during siesta. The breakfast is very good; many types of meat, cheese, croissants, bread, etc.., and was included in our price. There is a tapa bar attached to the hotel that is open late. At least 5 other tapa bars within a 2 minute walk. Great place which I would highly recommend.

My husband and I loved the decor and the staff was terrific and very helpful. They provided us with any all information we requested and were very accomodating.

Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla is a fantastically relaxing hotel which is walking distance from the main tourist attractions. The rooms are superb, as was the breakfast. We loved it and have already recommended it to our friends.

Overall, very friendly staff and wonderful rooms. The decor of the hotel is great. This is a lovely place to stay! The only drawbacks are the noise and the location. As far as noise goes, you have to contend with commotion on the streets (window in our room wasn't double-paned), and the noise in the hotel. Our room was on the second floor, and we heard the front desk telephone ringing at very late hours. The showers in other rooms are VERY, VERY loud (we were awoken by late-night bathers on a couple of occasions). In terms of location, this hotel is not in a bad neighborhood per se, but it is quite a distance from any of the major sites in Seville. On average, we had to walk 45 minutes to get to the places we wanted to see. Remember, Seville doesn't have the same sort of public transportation service that Madrid has! If you don't mind paying for cabs around the city then the location may not be such a hassle.

we were in transit, flying next morning to Paris, so not much to say ! but the hotel is nice and within walking distance from town center.

The Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla is a very romantic hotel which reflects Seville's Moorish heritage in its beautiful furnishings. The staff were extremely helpful and it was the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing and indulging in tapas. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the bars and clubs around the Alameda de Hercules. There are also a number of lovely churches and pretty plazas nearby.
