Hotel Relais San Rocco - Sestri Levante

Being in the hills, this hotel has a great view of the coast and some nice breezes. Staff were very pleasant. A car is a must as there is no other easy way to get around. It is close to the Motorway and well within an hours drive of Portofino and the Cinque Terre - both highly recommended. Ate one night at the Kontiki restaurant on the property. The food is wonderful. Unfortunately, the service is not. We spent 2 1/2 hours there, much of it waiting for something - first course, drinks, bill.

I would say that it is the second time in Relais San Rocco and it's always a shame to leave this fabulous place. My first reaction was to say that this hotel is awful to keep it for me ;-))) But, it is so nice, and people there so professional and kind, that I can't resist to tell this. If you want to visit Cinque Terre, stays in paradise and feel like VIP, you must go there. Don't forget to have a dinner in Kontiki

Really nice place lovely location, views and rooms but hard to find as it is a good 2 km from town?. The restaurant was closed both nights Mon and Tues so we had to drive to town to eat which was a pain. It has secure parking and is worth a stop here as the nearby town is also lovely...

Since we did not drive in via the Autostrada, the directions provided were of little help and it was difficult to find. Other than being quite a ways from the center of the city, it was a wonderful place.

The hotel was excellent, beautiful setting but really hard to find even wih Sat Nav. The restaurant at the bottom of the drive was not as described so we did not eat there.It is however quite a way back into the town for a meal. Sestri Levante itself is beautiful with plenty of parking and a great beach. Make sure you find the hidden beach not just the main one.

We stayed here as it was a 15 min train ride to the Cinque Terre, you do need a car however as it is high up in the mountain (beautiful view)and you need to drive to the train station which is 10 mins away by car. The man at the front desk was very helpful even though he spoke no english, we asked for twin beds and the room was on the second floor (there is no elavator)so he offered us a room with a queen bed on the first floor when he saw that we had a lot of luggage. We took that room and the next morning there was a girl at the front desk who spoke english and she asked if we wanted them to switch the bed in our room to twin beds as we had asked for, we were ok with the queen but I was very impressed that they offered to do this. Even though the man at the front desk spoke no english, we were able to communicate and he was able to help us with whatever we needed. He even helped us in with our luggage which is very rare in Italy.The room was quiet big with patio that had a table and 2 chairs. There also is a patio area just by the front entrance that has tables and chairs and a rattan couch where you have a great view of the city and water.Breakfast was typical of what they serve in Italy, croissants, buns, cakes, cheeses, ham, fruit, etc.There is a amazing restaurant on the property called Kon Tiki. It is fine dining and everything we had was excellent from the starter to the dessert, it is not a traditional Italian Restaurant but more of a modern fusion, very similar to the fine dining restaurants we have in Vancouver, Canada. We stayed for 3 nights and had dinner there twice, the manager is a excellent host and the decor was was really nice with lots of beautiful finishing touches. We would recommend this property to anyone with a car.

Beautiful nature,silence.... Rooms are comfortable,clean and we had nice terrace. We had our dog with us,so he enjoined the most.Plenti of place to pee. ;} We all were pleased with our choice to stay in Relais San Rocco

Location: Nice place with view on Sea. Good refreshed rooms; new installations. Quietness of rooms at floor not good, the thinn door let hear all discussions at the reception area till midnight. The street near the hotel is well used by motocicle rasers. Friendly welcom from staff.

Very nice hotel and resort! Just a remark about the street, narrow , and the parking place, not suitable for big cars. Excellent welcome, clean and nice, renewed rooms.

Very nice and quiet small hotel, located on the hills behind Sestri Levante. Great panorama, interiors are nice and recently renovated. Price is very competitive. Great basis for 5 terre. Staff is friendly and smart.

WE SPENT A NIGHT IN THIS HOTEL ON OUR WAY TO CINQUETERRE AND ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH. THE VIEW FROM OUR WINDOW OVER SESTRI LEVANTE IN THE SETTING SUN WITH SANTA MARGUERITA AND THE PORTOFINO PENINSULA IN THE DISTANCE WAS ENCHANTING. THE BREAKFAST ROOM, AT A LITTLE DISTANCE FROM THE HOTEL HAD ALSO A BEAUTIFUL VIEW. THE BUFFET BREAKFAST WAS COPIOUS AND ENJOYABLE. WE SHALL CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO OUR FRIENDS.

Stayed here with my husband and our son for one night en route to Florence. Wonderful staff. Beautiful view. Highly recommended.

With the very nice terrace, and the beautifull vieu, it would have been nice, with a bar, so that it would have been possible to have coffe, snacks or a longdrink.

We had 4 wondefull days at the hotel, with the best view I ever had from a hotel room. A marvellous restaurant beside the hotel named Kon Tiki.

In Via MIchelin is indicated at 100 meters distance from the Sestri Levante center. That is wrong. The hotel is in Riva Trigoso at about 4 km from Sestri. Please correct the indication in Via Michelin

This was one of the nicest hotels that we stayed in. It was immaculate, room has a lot of character but very functional and efficient. THe ceiling were brick but originials from way back when and rehabed to the maxed but did not take away from its character. The bath room was wonderful with a double shower that worked, plenty of hot water and good water pressure and spacious. THe breakfeast was quite good for Italian standards, and the people who worked there were very attentive to all your needs. THey seemed ready to help you in any way and some good parking that was for free. The location was tops, close to everything yet away very quiet and peaceful and a nice terrace that could really be enjoyed. I would recommed this hotel to anyone, this is a gem!!!

Hôtel très bien situé (sur une colline à 2 km de la localité), chambres spacieuses et claires, vue sur mer pour certaines, propres (neuves). Calme, parking, un très bon restaurant à proximité (un peu cher ?). Petit déjeuner un peu sommaire, mais accueil courtois et même une bouteille de vin offerte au cours du séjour (3 jours). Je recommande.

The Hotel, the location, the personnel, the view, the facilities simply superb. The hotel is located aproximately 3 miles south of Sestri Levante. You may consider giving driving directions,in addition to the address of the property, when sending confirmation of the booking. The property is an old villa fully refurbished, with a fantastic view of the countryside and the Tirrenaum Sea. The cost reasonable,

Hotel in collina molto carino, con poche stanze e tranquillo. La colazione è inclusa, discreta la varietà di scelta. Unica pecca, il ristorante è in una vicina piccola struttura completamente a parte rispetto all'hotel e questo è un fastidio, in periodo invernale, tra pioggia e freddo: se la stanza, in virtù di ciò, costasse 20 euro in meno, sarebbe senza dubbio al meglio come rapporto qualità/prezzo. Niente male anche panorama su Sestri.
