Hotel Grande Albergo - Sestri Levante

Urlaub Mitte Mai 2011 (Vorsaison !!) Ich war das erste mal im Grande Albergo und in Sestri Levante. Buchung 5 ÜN mit Frühstück. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war freundlich und gut. Das Frühstück auskömmlich. Vielleicht vom Angebot etwas einfach. Insgesamt liegt das Hotel sehr zentral an der Altstadt und nah am Bahnhof. Die Zimmer haben so gut wie keinen Schallschutz. Man hört schon die Nachbarn. Bewachter Parkplatz ist sehr gut. Strandbad war noch nicht geöffnet. Insgesamt ist das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Very nice hotel with nice garden terrace to have breakfast. A bit noisy, but that's because hotel is nicely central. Dinner in restaurant is very overpriced, though.

Car parking is across the street but no porter is employed to assist. We had some mosquitos in through windows so screens would help. Front counter staff were friendly but bar attendant could have tried harder to communicate rather than do crossword.

Great location for visiting Cinque Terre.... 5 minute walk to railroad station. Very helpful personnel who printed out railroad schedule and provided map quest directions to our next stop.

There were a number of comments about unhelpful staff on various web sites we would like to say that we found all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, booking a restaurant in Pisa for the last night of our trip as the number we had had changed. In addition there were also comments about rooms, we had a basic room by choice as we were using Sestri as a base to visit other places and the room was excellent, a great size, very well appointed and spotlessly clean, It was in a great location and Sestri has some excellent places to eat and drink.

First visit to Sestri Levante. Hotel made a very good base for a week by the sea. Good facilities and central location to resort and sea front.

Bell'hotel in ottima posizione, vicinissimo al centro e alle spiagge; comodo il parcheggio a pagamento dell'hotel; gradevolissima la colazione in giardino. Unico grosso neo: si arriva in macchina all'albergo e si inizia a girare in tondo cercando un accesso auto; al terzo giro si ci si ferma sul marciapiede!

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è sicuramente ottimo, splendida posizione. La camera un po piccola ma comunque accogliente.

Very nice hotel. Room was very clean and quiet, although small. Breakfast buffet was good. I am glad I selected this hotel.

There is no better place to travel with a little baby. The staff is so friendly and nice, fantastic. Unbelievable is also ther view from the roof top pool.

A well placed hotel with access to the beach. we thought the rooms seemed a little souless but adequate.the town of siestre levante is typically pretty little seaside town. walk and find the beach on the other side of the harbour.

As we had booked the de luxe category and only got a very small room with view to the parking lot we asked for another room, to which we could move the following day. This was bigger, but very exposed to the street and had no balcony. For the price I would have expected more. The beach gear was very expensive, we paid 30€ for two lettini and an ombrellone, no towels were provided (10€ for two). The hotel's atmosphere was quite anonymous. We've seen nicer places.

This was my first time and I enjoyed my stay very much. The rooms were nice. However, the restaurant did not have a lot of charm. The lights were way too bright! Also, the pool area could use drink and food service and music. It was nice to lay by, but it would have been nicer to have a glass of champagne and salad instead of having to go elsewhere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

AC was not as effective as could be expected. The pool was very clean and well kept and the attendant was friendly and welcoming. 5€ a day rent for pool towel seems a bit stiff thoug. Breakfast was fine and dining room staff very attentive.

This place was perfect for our honeymoon. Spacious rooms, big breakfast, great views. Perfect!

The hotel was in a great location right across the st from the beach, very convenient to town, shops, resturants, rail station, etc. The front desk staff was very warming upon our arrival and always had a bonjourno every time we passed. I thought a little pricey but nice location and clean hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grande Albergo. Excellent location, close to the train station.Excellent breakfast buffet and very good service. Very clean and quiet.

I think the online information could be better to help sell a good hotel. Scarcely a mention of a good rooftop pool. I also think the sting of 25 euro a day for two beach loungechairs is a bit high given i paid 165 euro a night for hotel

This one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our entire trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and we would come back and stay at this hotel again.

Web page indicated hotel is in Fiesole North of Florence, when it is NOT in Fiesole and is south east of Florence! Most enjoyable stay - no regrets
