Perched on top of Monte da Senhora da Confiança, the Hotel da Montanha is a wonderful hotel near Sertã in central Portugal with a commanding view of Cabril Lake, rugged mountains and the Zezere River. The Hotel da Montanha can be found in the small village of Pedrogão Pequeno and is within easy reach of Coimbra, Aveiro and Lousa.

This hotel provides that perfect mountain retreat for guests who want to get back to nature, strolling through virgin forests and walking across ancient bridges, as well as going mountain biking, climbing and hiking. After having filled you lungs with fresh air, you can relax in the hotel's wellness centre and spa.

The Hotel da Montanha invites guests to taste some delicious Portuguese meals in its restaurant or have a drink at one of its 3 bars. If you are the sporting type, then there are 2 swimming pools and a multipurpose sports court where you can play tennis, basket ball and football. Also, tennis rackets and balls are available too. A great place to concentrate, the hotel has 2 fully-equipped meeting rooms, suitable for 70 and 100 people respectively.

Room Details

You can either choose a Standard Room for single or double occupancy, or a Panoramic Room, which boasts a magnificent view over the mountains surrounding the Hotel da Montanha and the Zezere River.

All of the rooms come with a high standard of amenities, including the latest range of appliances, such as an LCD flat-screen TV with a radio channel as well as wireless Internet access. Some of the Panoramic Rooms also feature a balcony and a Jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom too.

As long as permission is asked in advance, you can bring along your pets to this animal-friendly hotel.

Included/Not Included in the price

INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE Parking is included in the price. The wireless Internet access is not included in the price and costs €3,00 per hour. Pets are admitted without charge. The use of the swimming pools is included in the price. Guests must pay a refundable deposit to the hotel before using the multipurpose sports court. The use of mountain bikes is not included in the price and costs €15,00 per half of a day. The use of the spa is not included in the price and its costs €7,50 each time you use one of the spa facilities (e.g. the sauna). By car
From Porto: take the IC 23 Sul (South), and then the IP1/E01 (Lisboa). Continue along the IC2/IC3/N1, and then the IC3/N110 in the direction of Castelo Branco. Continue along the N2 and exit at Pedrogão Pequeno. Then follow the Hotel signs.
From Lisbon: take the A1 Norte (North) and take Exit 7 Abrantes. Continue along the A23 in the direction of Castelo Branco and take Exit 10 Vila da Rei. Continue along the N2, then the IC 8, and exit at Pedrogão Pequeno. Then follow the Hotel signs.
