First impressions pulling up outside were excellent. It was downhill from then on. The room was small, no mini-bar, as a converted stable there was no window, the light came in through the glazed top half of the door which could not be opened, the room faced the patio where evening meals were consumed - so no privacy or opportunity to open the door for air until around 11pm. The evening meal menu seemed expensive but did not have anything which appealed. (recommend the Tete du Lard in the next village - same price but v. good) Breakfast was very prescriptive (1 dink, 3 bread, croissants etc) and we're still waiting for the fruit juices!! I shall not revisit

The food at this hotel was absolutely excellent - as good as Michelin starred establishments. A real treat for gourmet palates. We would definitely stay again and it is worth a detour of many miles to stop en route The room was fine but the colour of the walls was shocking green which was completely out of character with the rest of the beautiful building.
