Nice hotel, practically at the remains of the aquaduct, 3 min walking from railway station, short walk to the sights in Selcuk. 30-40 min walk from Efese. Very kind and helpfull staff.

The staircase is difficult, steep and sharp bends, having said that all that can be done to make it safe has been done; as long as the light sensors work! The staff were very friendly and only too ready to carry luggage to and from car, ready to answer any questions and they serve one of the most generous breakfasts to be found, with good quality cheese, olives, fruit etc. It is situated right in the centre of an interesting part of the town, with a park and plenty of restaurants in the nearby streets.

I have never been to a hotel with staff this friendly (I may have never even met people this friendly before!). They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Always offering to help or make things easier for us without us ever asking. Breakfast had many options and was tasty. Right near the train station. We had a view of the storks nests on the aqueduct. Excellent price for the quality of the establishment. Wish we had stayed longer! I highly, highly recommend!

Stayed for one night and were impressed by the enthusiasm of the friendly staff. They helped with our bags up four flights of stairs – but the view over the countryside was worth the walk up the stairs. Room was basic, but very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and location was close to restaurants and shops. Great value for money.

This is a convenient but unpretentious place to stay very close to Ephesus. The brothers that run the establishment are warm, friendly and welcoming and were wonderful when we arrived. The room that we had was very simple--just 3 beds, no desk, closet, no hooks in the bathroom. It was clean but not very user friendly/practical. The breakfast was FANTASTIC, the best we had in Turkey. Only other issue was that the city turned off all city-water during our intended stay. The owners were gracious enough to cancel our second night at their hotel so we would not have been inconvenienced. All in all, good value if you don't mind VERY modest accomodations.

Good balance quality-price. Very well located, rooms are very clean, and they are very nice, and helpful. Breakfast is at the top terrace, with a very nice view of the castle. The only thing it's that here is not enough hot water in the morning for every body, so if you don't mind cold shower it's ok, if not you should wake up soon. I recomend it.

It's really a nice, homelike place. I strongly recommend it to everyone. When we arrived, they picked us from the bus station for free though we didn't asked that in advance. The staff are so friendly and helpful. You can get all the information you need from them. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. It's even better than the breakfast we had in the hotel in Istanbul. We really had a wonderful time in this hostel.

Great balcony, very clean, so helpful that staff spoke English well. Best breakfast we've had in Turkey! Roof deck is fantastic, check it out at night time. Get to Ephesus right when it opens at 8am -- you'll have it all to yourself!!

We stayed 3 nights at Urkmez during Jun/Jul. For 40euro/night at a location surrounded by all sorts of shops and restaurants, with major transportation facilities just a few blocks away (2 minutes for train station, 5-10 minutes for bus terminal), we couldn't think of anything to complain. And above all, the staff were particularly friendly and charming. We were greeted at breakfast every morning. One of them even taught us how to play backgammon. Highly recommend to all!

The owners and staff were the most friendly, helpful and welcoming we have met anywhere. The rooms are not fancy but I would highly recommend this small, family run hotel because of the people - excellent!

If you're looking for a place to lay your head for the night for a cheap price, then stay here. However, do not count on much comfort or space. The bathroom was unbelievably small, the heater barely worked (we barely slept because it was so cold), and the beds were uncomfortable. However, the staff was very kind and the place was in an ideal location.

whatever was lacking in terms of facilities (I.e. odorless bathroom, thin walls), Cem and his brother and other hired help more than made up for with their gracious and very accommodating hospitality. Also very good location for seeing the local sites and getting back the airport in Izmir. Breakfast with a view was superb.

If in doubt book it. You will not find friendlier more hospitable hosts than the brothers and their family. The location is great, central to everything, advice great, no pressure to sell you tours, carpets, leather jackets - OR ANYTHING. Just great hosts, great hotel. Better breakfasts than the average Turkish accom, with a real effort to make a variation each day. Night time entertainment is there for the taking. Bathrooms could do with a lick of paint, but, that's the only minor down side. The rooftop terrace is great, even in winter, and they even light you a candle and bring you peanuts when you have bought drinks in from outside their establishment. We loved it.

Thanks for the helpful brothers Jimmy and JuJu. I have a pleasant stay there. They can communicate well in English and giving me useful information. I enjoy their fresh and delicious breakfast. I also enjoy the tour to Ephesus. I booked the trip through them.

Very pleased with hotel; difficult to find when driving as there are lots of one way streets. Excellent value for money despite very small shower area. Breakfast included in the price. Very close to Ephesus which was our reason for going-an amazing place. Had a lovely meal near the fountains and the storks on their nests on the pillars. Wish we had had more time to explore Selcuk.
