We had a great stay at the Efes Antik Hotel in Selcuk. The hotel is easy to find and close to an excellent restaurant district. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The upstairs deck has a good view of the surrounding mountains and is a nice place to socialize in the evening. The staff is friendly and exceedingly helpful with lots of good advice about the sights and attractions of the area. The only downside is traffic noise on the front side of the building. It dies down later in the evening but if noise is a special concern ask for a room on the other side of the building.

Very good hotel, clean and quiet (if you have a room on the rear, the front is on the main road...). Excellent breakfast, availability of the kitchen and above all kindness of the owner. At a first look he seems a little bit clumsy, but don't believe it! Whatever you'll ask him, he somehow will fulfill your request, maybe with "workarounds" (we ask for an hairdryer, he suggest us to use the airconditioning heater, because "it will not burn your hair as an hairdryer will do") or giving an unexpected availability (he doesn't accept credit cards, but he brings me to his bank to change the money, so that I can have a better exchange rate!). Definitely a place to recommend.

The Efes Antik is superb value accommodation and we discovered it whilst touring Turkey from UK. It is well placed in Selcuk, and in its region, for visiting the many local sites of interest. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful beyond what is professionally necessary, and the inclusive breakfast is a healthy one of legendary proportions. The hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes, most of good quality and value, it is a short walking distance from a very helpful tourist information office, the most useful local bus/coach station, and an unmissable Saturday market. When we next visit Selcuk we shall certainly stay at the Efes Antik. Mike & Jenny Reed, UK

I had a wonderful experience with the staff of this hotel. I was really welcomed by the hotel. Food was so nice. People are so friendly. They helped me a lot such as the cheap and delicious restaurant and where to visit.

We had booked the hotel on the spur of the moment and later realised what a true gem we had stumbled upon. The owner, Gürsel, is very welcoming and friendly and really makes everyone feel right at home. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are immaculately clean and the adjoining bathroom is spacious. We spent three nights in Efes Antik Hotel and only wish we could have spent more! Definitely recommend this hotel, and will return ourselves when we have the chance!
