Hotel Los Linajes - Segovia

I would stay again. The hotel looks to be from the seventies in the public areas, the rooms are small,but free wifi. Great location. Don't walk there. Take a taxi. My partner insisted the walk up the hill would be fun with all our luggage. HUMPH!

The man on reception was very unwelcoming, not a smile, he didn't even look up when we walked in. The first room we were shown had a horrible smell (urine!!) and we asked to be moved to another room which was fine. The carpets in both rooms were very dirty and need to be replaced. The old part of the hotel is beautiful, but it has a new part built on to the back, which is where most of the rooms are, so it's a little misleading. Apart from the carpets, the rooms were fine but a little on the small side. Good value for money, nice breakfast that we had to pay extra for. They need a new reception person, someone with people skills!

I booked Los Linajes on the fly and arrived with duplicate reservations, my fault. The hotel staff were more than helpful in assisting me to sort out the confusion. Los Linajes has been described as a "poor man's parador." I agree. It is perfectly situated and lovely. It is a little higher priced than I usually indulge, but it was worth it. The perfect stay near the end of a long trip.

Great hotel; just a little difficult to find even with a GPS. Had great views from the room and easy access to sites.

Excellent hotel, well placed for visiting historic Segovia. Our room had a magnificent view over the valley to the monastery. Helpful staff. Underground garage useful given Segovia's limited parking!

We had Room 506-- wonderfully large room with balcony overlooking the countryside and stork nests on chimneys. Excellent hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location. As typical, my room was fairly small. Wi-fi worked without problem. Breakfast was not included - and only fair quality for price. Walk to cathedral and plaza was very short (<5 min). Would recommend this hotel for a stay in the historical part of the city.

Los Linajes was beautiful. Close to the Plaza Mayor and all places of interest. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and we appreciated to hetaed floors. We had a wonderful view over the hinterland and local monasteries.

Front desk fellow was rather curt and surly (although he became friendlier the more my Spanish-speaking wife spoke to him). View from the room was simply amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay in Los Linajes. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Segovia! Perfect location. Thanks :o)

Staff very competent and friendly. We lost some important papers and at the reception they let us use their internet facility to recover them. The location is very good. The surroundings superb. Magnificent views.

Beautiful old hotel just 5 minutes from the cathedral, 10 minutes from the Alcazar. Also several bars and cafes nearby. Room clean and spacious with pleasant view. As well as the bedroom and bathroom, we had a small sitting room. Would definitely stay there again. Would recommend asking for a room on one of the higher floors for best views.

This is a small city center and so the hotel is certainly close to the main tourist attractions. We found the garage price expensive especially as there were few guests and it could have been offered free as an inducement to stay here.

Parking and breakfeast too much expensive !!
