Hotel Central - Seefeld

Upon arrival at the hotel, there was no person at the reception so far. A lady was talking at the bar with 2 guests and saw me standing there waiting (I was not aware at that time that she was the one to help me). A few minutes later 2 new guests arrived from outside and went to the others guests and lady at the bar, they all continued talking about how nice it was outside and so on. After about 7 minutes this lady came to me, to help me (then I understood that she was the one to help me). I found this unacceptable (but did not say anything - what I was going to say would not be appreciated and kind) I was furious at that time. This was a very bat first impression (and was not what I was expecting after 9 hours drive) to this hotel and stayed with me the whole weekend. We live in Holland and went only for this weekend (July 8th until July 10th) by car to Seefeld. So I have no further comment to this hotel. We had chosen this hotel because it was high rated, but I discovered that this is not always true.

It is a excellent place to visit

Hotel Central was offered by your webpage as best price in Seefeld Tirol, with 42 Euro per room per night, what we considered exceptionnaly low and quite a bargain ! It turned out that the actual price should have been twice that amount !!! The Hotel Central discovered the error only by check-out, and wanted to stick to their confirmed price which had been offered on your webpage, although actual price should have been Euro 84 per room. Our group - two rooms for two nights - therefore had quite a bargain concerning this reservation ! The hotel should be rexommended, even when confirmed price is Euro 84 per room !! A positive surprise in Seefeld Tirol where we know most first-class hotels since many years !!

First time we have visited this hotel. It is a very pleasant hotel close to everything in Seefeld and easily accessible to Innsbruck and Bavaria. The management and staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great, and the restaurant served quality food. Would definitely return.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The ski room to store the skis and keep the boots warm was a bonus. The service was outstanding. Martin was especially helpful and nice.

We couldn't fault this beautiful truly Tyrolean Hotel, we will definately use the Central Hotel again, and would recommend it to anyone.

The lack of service was the overriding impression of this hotel. Before departure we sent am email with a request but did not get a reply. Our room was on the end so had a 22 sq mtr north facing wall and the heating was inadequate for a snowy and cold January. The warmest bit was the bathroom so we left the door open to get some heat into the room. On arrival we queried the lack of hot water for wash/shower. The manager/owner came up to the room, ran his hand under the lukewarm water and said it was normal and to wait an hour. We learnt quickly to shower out of peak times. He dismissed the lack of heating as normal. During our stay my wife was ill to the point of almost being hospitalised (nothing to do with the hotel) and on request the receptionist did arrange a doctors appointment for us but that was the end of it. We never received any enquiry after her health indeed we feel were ignored and treated as a potential problem. The bacon and eggs at breakfast were an ongoing problem with fresh supplies not being cooked until the ones on display had already run out so there was a lengthy wait. The quality of the evening meals was good but there was only one waiter on duty and he was rushed off his feet. One night the owner/manager was circulating the tables chatting to guests (not helping serve) but managed to miss our table! We got the strong impression that if you don't speak German, as we don't, then they did not want to know. On departure it was simply a case of take payment and off you go. No 'did you have a nice stay', 'was everything ok', 'hope to see you again'....nothing and again no mention after my wifes health. Apart from the central location we would not return nor recommend this hotel. Fine if you dont want any pleasantries. As British Airways staff we are used to staying in decent hotels around the world and this fell far short **If you ever want 'mystery shopper' guests we are available and know we would do a good job reveiwing hotel
