Loved the location...neat neighborhood. we enjoyed several nearby restaurants; Pesos for Mexican breakfast; Portage up on top of Queen Anne for delicious seafood dinner; Boat Street Cafe for fine crab cakes as brunch. There are many more choices in the area .Can't wait to come back and try some more. Took a 5 minute drive to Pike Place Market in time for the Cheese Festival. great fun. The Mediterranean offers an excellent base for exploring downtown Seattle.

Overall a decent stay. Only a rude check-in; other staff were MUCH better. Taxes were higher than Venere expected, but only by $4-5. Parking garage is a mess and cramped. I like the barrio.

Quick weekend trip to Seattle for my son's athletic event. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cozy, but certainly adequate. Only issue was the street noise and the trash truck banging the dumpster around at 5AM - arrggh.

This really was the best deal near the downtown Seattle area. Luckily the immediate area around the hotel is up and coming and has lots of good restaurants and cafes to choose from. Nice area to walk around and easy to access the free downtown buses as well. Very glad we found such a good deal in Seattle.

The evening staff was not overly friendly while the morning crew was bubbly. The rooms are not air conditioned which on a hot summer day makes it a challenging. The Space Needle is a quick walk but if you want to hit the Market your best bet is to drive.

The air conditioning would have been an issue, but it cooled to under 60at night so it was nice having the windows open. Aside from that it was a great hotel for the price.

We booked our room 6-8 weeks in advance. We arrived in Seattle during a heat wave, to find that only two floors of the hotel had air conditioning. While I was standing at the desk, I heard them book their last room with A/C for the night, which was frustrating since we had booked ours so far in advance that I would have thought we would have had priority. Our room had no A/C, and only one window had a screen in it, so we were not able to open both windows to allow the cool air to come in. The hotel is on a busy street so there was a lot of street noise. The staff had left the shades open all day with the fan off, so the room was a sauna when we arrived. Shortly after our arrival, we were trying to visit the rooftop deck, when we were unable to move the elevator off our floor. Both elevators were broken the rest of the night. One of the front desk staff was quite snippy, even though we had been patient and understanding. Beautiful hotel, great location, and good value for the price... unless you visit during the summer.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My 85-year-old mother and I were able to walk to the Space Needle from the hotel. We were able to catch the Monorail into the downtown area. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed the microwave popcorn in the room. They also had Starbuck's coffee for those who like it. Nice kitchenette area. The room was well-lit. Beds were comfortable. They have a nice lobby with tables and chairs to wait at while you wait for a taxi. Two computers in the lobby are available to use for e-mail. I would stay there again!

Loved it. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location to get a real feel of the city, not just the "tourist" areas.

The room we stayed in (June, 2010) was very nice - comfortable, clean, and had kitchen facilities as well. We stayed prior to a cruise and could actually see the cruise pier from our window. It's a pretty quick cab ride to Pier 91 from the Inn, and there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Staff was helpful and friendly. A bit of a hike to Pike's market, but do-able.

The Mediterranean Inn represents excellent value for money, with a kitchenette and fitness room and free internet computers on site. The fitness room had free water and apples. I did run into a drunk permanent resident which was not pleasant but the staff were supportive. The rooms are spacious and clean however the dvd player did not play Australian dvds.
