Kings Inn - Seattle

room was clean, no amenities in the standard rooms, elevator smells like smoke

This is a shabby hotel which has seen much better days. It is motel style in the middle of the city and needs to be vastly upgraded or knocked down and rebuilt. It is NOT value for money compared with other hotels on 5th Avenue, which we dd. It was certainly not ideal for an aged parent on their first trip to Seattle.

This was my first time in Seattle and hence, my stay at King's Inn. I stayed for 2 nights during May. Though the surrounding noise and small room size were not so desirable, I absolutely loved my stay. The location of the hotel is fantastic - 8 blocks away from Space Needle, right next to Top Pot. The free WIFI was awesome, and I liked the little design on my wall.

Very noisy, but in a convenient location

I guess you get what you pay for, but the pictures on the web looked better then the hotel itself. I must say the room was clean, just not cared for, so it looked dirty, even though it was mainly OLD!!! The service was good too, but I had to request a hair-dryer and an iron, that were delivered quickly. Also, I had bad cold and used an extra toilet paper roll, as a result the next day there was a box of tissues on the table. I liked that! I was scared of other guests that I met on the corridors, so I confined myself to my room. If I wasn't alone I would feel much better about the whole experience.

My reservation couldn't reach the Hotel. So if it had no room, we couldn't stay it. We spent long time in fhe front. Because employee couldn't find my name. That's terrible thing. And I resrved 2 bads room, but we staied 1 bed room. Price was little expensive...

The hotel did not have my reservation. Lucky for me, I had my confirmation printed out and handy. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes before the receptionist even filled me in on what was going on with everything. As for the room, don't expect anything special. There is nothing fancy about the place. It did provide a clean room, bed, and shower so I really cannot complain.

This is an excellent BUDGET-minded hotel. No frills, clean and spacious. It is located in the heart of Seattle tourist destinations, within walking distance of theaters, restaurants, shopping, etc.
