Mare Hotel - Savona

Good Hotel, Poor information at check in. That night f.e. was a excellent sea side buffet. We only got information by accident. Nothing to do in surrounding of hotel. But for a 2 day sleep, sea and sun, it was perfect. Nice clean rooms, extra bed was good, facilities at hotel where good.

Nice hotel located directly by the sea. Be sure to get a room at the seaside, because the backside is a rather busy road and the view quite depressing. Savona may not be a tourist attraction, but the old town is certainly worth a visit.

Excellent hotel, direct on the beach.

We spent a nice winter weekend in savona, visiting town and enjoying winter sea... it was great to walk along the beach to reach the priamar castle. the hotel is very good, and staff very nice and welcoming, they upgraded our room to a sea view room and we enjoyed to spend night listening to the waves. breakfast was great, very rich and good, with a nice view on the beach garden, staff always very warm and welcoming. thank you, we will come again. il Mare Hotel si è rivelato un piccolo paradiso dove passare un weekend all'insegna della tranquillità e del mare d'inverno. lo staff è davvero accogliente e gentile, e ci ha fatto la sorpresa di un upgrade della stanza: così abbiamo soggiornato in una bellissima e pulitissima stanza con terrazza sul mare, cullati dal rumore delle onde. la colazione è squisita e ricca, nella sala ristorante curatissima e affacciata sul bel giardino sulla spiaggia, e lo staff come sempre di grande gentilezza e affabilità. ringraziamo il Mare Hotel per il bellissimo soggiorno.

Some of the towels provided were less than spotless clean. WiFi worked great for 3 euros/unlimited time. There was no available Italian plug/Schuko adapter available, which left my laptop running on battery during my stay (OK for 1 night but might be uncomfortable in case of longer stay). All in all a pleasant hotel, definitely best suited for summer holidays. Would return, but might look around for a cheaper option.

We took a triple room for our stay in Savona at the Mare Hotel. We found it to be a very pleasant stay in an area not burgeoning with UK tourists - always a good thing!! Would recommend for a short stay.

Surroundings were disappointing. Places to eat were minimum of 30 mins walk away. System for allocating beach space inflexible and impractical. One room got 2 beach loungers regardless of number of people in the room. In our case we have 3 people in one room.

The hotel is dated. The air conditioning did not work and the room was over 27 degress C all night. The staff was insistent that it worked fine and showed us the small spot in the corner of the room where the air was actually blowing. Of course, this was nowhere near the bed. The free breakfast was nice, but there were no tables and the staff was completely overwhelmed and incapable of keeping the buffet stocked with food. The staff then refused to serve us coffee with the breakfast because we were not seated in the designated area (even though there were no tables open). The hotel advertized free parking, but that lot is open to the public and is always full. Garage parking is another 7 euros per day. The wifi access is 3 Euros, but you must be in the lobby to get a signal. The hotel is on a fairly nice beach, but there is a trailer park across the street and the surrounding area is not very clean.

Siamo stati con mio marito in questo albergo. Purtroppo, albergo non corrisponde a 4 stelle, massimo a 2 stelle. la stanza era rumorosa e con cattivo odore, arredamento vecchio,vasca era rota. Hotel surrounding e zona industriale, lontano dal centro, non ce ninete da fare. Unica cosa che piacuta piu o meno e la spiaggia. La signora in chek-in non era gentile e attenta, era troppo occupata. Non consiglerei questo albergo a nessuno, albergo di anni 70, sporco.

The beach is just superb with nice but cold swimming pool. Room noisy but just because we were on the front side, should ask for beach view. Staff could be a little bit more friendly.

Good business hotel. Though the private beach it's not a typical family hotel. Surprisingly poor the bar facilities and remarkable the absence of a guest lounge. However this can be justified by the fact that the "real season" is the summer season for this facility, and the open air areas are definitely better. Good restaurant, average breakfast.

Not well located, no alternatives for dinner and the hotel restarant was really expensive! we went to Savona to take the Costa Cruise.

We return from corsica. we stay 2 nights, very style hotel, big rooms. the restaurant staff was not so friendly. the reception staff a little stressed. we enjoy the sea. it is an excellent business hotel.

The hotel facing the sea and this is the best thing, quite rare in northern italy

Mid size room, the bed was not double as requested, but two metal single one putted together (???). Restroom is big and clean. No safe-box, refrigerator is very, very small. Breakfast: poor as usual for all italian hotels. For dinner - the local restorant is expencive and full, the near resporant is far away. Beach is nice, hotel has 3 lines and it's free. TV is small and old.
