The people who owned\ran the place were WONDERFUL, but....we had a VERY small room, and that was sad for us. The woman who ran the hotel was particularly wonderful! The people were great...the room (number 36 was NOT). we did not know that we were a mile from the main city; you should tell travellers that information.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Location about 20 minutes´ walk from centre of town (which was fine for us), but very close to the train station. Overall pleased with our stay there.

Small basic hotel, located on the Loire. Town centre is reached by crossing two bridges and island, so it's at least a 10 minute walk. The hotel is located beside train lines, but not too many trains came through. It was clean and great value. We stayed in a room with 3 single beds.

An excellent two star hotel.Only meal offered was a very good Breakfast. Walk downtown (15/20 mins) for excellent food. Situated five minutes from railway station, hotel is excellent value and the proprietors charming and helpful. Would I use it again? Absolutely!!

Hotel Alcyon's rooms are comfortable and spacious with lovely furnishings completing the fantasy of the colored bedclothes.
