We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Altair and could not fault a thing. The staff spoke excellant english and could not do enough for us. The breakfast was extra but was worth the cost and the rose jam was wonderful, Hotel very clean and was close to all main atractions. Bodega near hotel was great with good food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Trains very cheap and clean and easy to use

Excellent hotel!!! People at the receoption desk and the services they offer are simply amazing. They speak excellent English which is quite a treat in Spain. In particular, Patricia is just amazing... Overall, this hotel gets my highest recommnedation.

Very, very nice place. Fully recommended. Will stay there again. Quiet location up the hill next to pedestrian zone. Great cafe nearby. Good breakfast (to be payed extra).

A very stylish and pleasant hotel directly at the entrance to the old town of Santiago. We did enjoy our days here very much! The Hotel Altair would deserve more than three stars.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the main attractions in Santiago de Compostela, but in a quiet street. The doublebed was a bit small for two ladies not beeing a couple.

We could not fault the hotel which is in an excellent location & very quiet, very nice breakfasts, attentive & very friendly staff. Would certainly go back & strongly recommend it to other tourists proposing to visit Santiago de Compostela. We asked the hotel staff to recommend restaurants & were more than satisfied with all our meals over the 7 days.The public transport bus journey to Mouros on the West coast is a delight & the place itself is charming & unspoilt.Plenty of trains to some of the major cities through unspoilt countryside. If you are not proposing to see the surrounding area a 3 day stay in Santiago de Compostela is more than adequate.

Hotel facilities are fine when we are going to visit a city like Santiago. They care about the guests. Personnal is too nice, I was like in my house. They are incredibly focused in your confort and attention is the must. It makes difference. Personal is 10 stars!!!! Hotel is 9

It's a beautiful hotel, newly refurbished, located just within the limits of the historic center of Santiago. Everything is within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very cozy, combining wood and stone. Everything is decorated in orange, brown and purple. Overall, very pleasant. We'll most definitely return!
